1  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Vietnam - All here on: November 30, 2013, 02:41:46 PM
Would any Vietnam people be interested in buying litecoin or bitcoin from me?

I am wanting to sell out some but see if I can avoid all the third party exchange services because of fee's and the % they take.

I actually have to travel from Thailand though so it would have to be a substantial amount or a small number of people who could meet around the same time.
2  Local / Other languages/locations / Wanting To Sell Litecoin/Bitcoin in Thailand and sorrounding Asian Countries. on: November 30, 2013, 02:36:48 PM
I want to cash out some digital currency but not liking the withdrawal options. I hold Litecoin but could also transfer it to BTC or any other coin offered on the BTC-E website.

For a large amount can be willing to meet in southern China or the Philippines.
3  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Attention Thailand - local help needed, user BKKCoins vanished! on: November 30, 2013, 02:31:23 PM
They warn farangs not to ride on motorcycles because nobody follows traffic rules here, (The rule is try and not die) but it's just so convenient when the entire country is in a perpetual state of traffic jams.

Think it's worth picking up a Kawasaki Ninja, or are those 1 ton pickup trucks worth the extra security - despite being impossible to park?
4  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Thailand - What penalty to expect for selling BTC on: November 30, 2013, 02:20:55 PM
As a expat in Thailand I have been looking into this. Apparently the Thai bank dubbed digital currency as "illegal" but the Government basically told the back to F*** off and that they don't have the authority to make that decision.

So it's far less illegal than prostitution *Lol* and I'm sure in another 20 years when the cops learn to turn a computer on by themselves... They still won't comprehend digital currency.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you think of this trade policy on: November 07, 2013, 04:50:25 PM
Oops typo. I meant, I sent the bitcoins.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: litecoin dead ? on: November 07, 2013, 08:55:34 AM
I'm watching Litecoin tetter over the $4 mark now. So much for it never hitting $3 again.

Over the years of being a fan of bitcoins it was fun watching all the stupid people scream that "it was dead and has no real world value" whenever the price corrected at a higher price than when the hype began, often in a bigger decimal place. And whenever it gained traction in price they screamed, "this is a bubble and it will drop to zero!"

Now I get to see all those same tired arguments again but this time about litecoin.

Litecoin now adopted on 3 Chinese exchanges dwarfing the rest of the world. MtGox has included it in their Midas engine and have made clear that Midas is in the final stage of upgrading. The Litecoin Dev team has just recieved TONS of money to go through the code and make improvements with a ex lead engineer from Google and the brother of the biggest exchange in China.

Your version of "reality" like most people who throw around this term, is as opiniated as any teenager's personal diary.

The reality is that Justin Beiber is a millionaraire who owns multiple mansions while Nicola Tesla died without a penny to his name.

Even bitcoin itself in the current state is kind of useless, like the first handful of airplanes, first 10 years of computers, first online business. Etc.

But consumer's are sick and tired of getting screwed by their banks, they will adopt digital currencies not even based on the merits themselves but on just how it will be ANTHING but the banks. Kind of like how if a Democrat is in office the people vote for a republican, and if vice versa they just want ANYTHING then what they currently have in hopes of it being different because we all know the current system is deeply flawed.

Microsoft wasn't the only technology company even though it was number 1. Many copy cats because giants in their own right even when it was based on silly, highly overvalued, and aesthetical reasons. Like Apple.

If Bitcoin succeeds then so will tens, possibly hundreds, perhaps even thousands of other alt currencies. The pool they are taking from (the entire global market) is so astronomically big that if a coin could corner just the smallest portion of that market for even a short period of time, it's value would be significant.

Altcoins may not have the privileges of being the early adopter's of bitcoin miner's back when btc was at .015 cents but compared to the mainstream who jump on board a year or two from now it sure is going to feel like it.

I don't need to make millions of dollars off of this. Hundred's of thousands will be acceptable. And this ride is far, far from over.

Is a Toshiba laptop much different than a Dell, or HP, Or Lenova.

How about Chevy, Ford, Mustang, etc.?

Does any new technology only manifest as a single company - no, of course not.

7  Economy / Trading Discussion / What do you think of this trade policy on: November 07, 2013, 08:05:17 AM
I agree with another member to exchange my btc for a Moneygram. I send the coins and find out he can't send it for another 24 hours because the Western Union closed at noon in his country, for some reason.

But the next day he can't send the money until after he get's off work at 5:30pm, which means that because of my time zone I have to wait another day to pick up the funds.

The price of bitcoin raises an enormous amount withint this 2 and a half day period. He now tells me that he will honor the agreement based on when I sent the bitcoins and not when he is actually able to make the transfer. Plus he will add an additional fee on top of that.

Wow, I paid a hidden fee of $200-300 or more plus another fee, when I could of just used an Exchange to make a Monegram that would of been far safer, taken the same amount of time, and for merely $40.

Is this common practice with private sellers on this forum and I'm just dumb for not understanding the terms?

Why is the price "locked in" before he is able to fulfill his end of the bargain? What if the price plummets 50%, is he expected suck up that loss as well. By that same logic then shouldn't the price be locked when we first made the verbal agreement instead of when he receives my funds.

I suppose a bank transfer would of been the same thing. Takes about 3 days, locks in the price for when the user starts the trade... But that's more of a technical limitation, they can't give you the money based on current prices without resending. Guess you could look at it either way. I'm not mad as much as surprised. I would expect user exchanges to be based on when both parties could fulfill their end of the agreement.

But no wonder people are so willing to provide USD for BTC - that's a lot of free interest to be made!

I agree with your estimates about $1,000 btc by 2014, especially if when the US economy collapses. Probably this coming January when the issue of debt ceiling's come up again. Hope everyone's ready for stuff to hit the fan.
9  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS)1985 Fleetwood Arrow RV Motorhome. $3250 on: October 29, 2013, 07:14:30 AM
Thought this thing was worth a little more than that? Oh well glad I didn't put anymore money into than what I did.

I'm starting to wonder if I could make more just by selling the individual appliances.
10  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Have you purchased a CAR with BTC or LTC? Vehicles For Sale Here! on: October 23, 2013, 07:57:12 AM
Does an RV count?

I'm seeing similar quality and year being sold for closer to $5,000 or more but I put all my holdings into LTC and am trying to get some BTC in case the price keeps rising.

Somebody help me jump back onto the train Cheesy

So that someday my grandchildren ask me, "Where were you when it hit $1,000+" and I'll be like, "binding over getting **** by mtgox with their imaginary Midas engine that was supposed to come out half a year before btc even begin to recover."
11  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS)1985 Fleetwood Arrow RV Motorhome. ***Price Reduced*** $3700. on: October 23, 2013, 02:19:12 AM

As a 3D modeler, I have to say... that looks beautiful.

If nobody buys it here in a few weeks I might go for it.  Grin
14  Economy / Computer hardware / (WTS) Toshiba Satellite A665-S6100X $425 ***Price Reduced*** on: October 22, 2013, 08:17:33 PM

It's still new with no scratches, bumps, or other issues. I reinstalled the operating system to make everything fresh and get rid of any bloatware. Still comes with original box, papers, and receipts from Best Way where it was purchased about a year ago. Now that I am no longer moving around the Country on business don't need a laptop and want to upgrade to a gaming desktop.

The battery life is good and also has a new $70 universal charger with heads that make it compatible with other laptops as well. Still is sold at Best Buy for nearly $1,000 brand new. I also know it's able to play League of Legends.

Accepting both BTC and LTC.

Here's the review. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2383528,00.asp

Located in the United States. Shipping domestic is free while foreign would need to cover the fee's. Have no problem relying on a trusted 3rd party Escrow.
Has a legitimate copy of Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010.

I've reduced the price. Have a big trip overseas coming up and want this taken care of beforehand...

15  Economy / Economics / Re: 9 Mind-Blowing Facts About Money on: October 22, 2013, 07:50:39 AM
Yes, thank you, now I can say with absolute certainty that the very first money grubber of all time was Asian.

(Sorry if I offended somebody, its just a joke, and for some reason I had to say it  Wink)

My wife is half chinese. She is very frugal and I make fun of her for this all the time, when I'm not making jokes about driving on the wrong side of the ride. Someday she will probably stab me to death and I'll probably of fully deserved it.
16  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS)1986 Fleetwood Arrow RV Motorhome. on: October 22, 2013, 07:37:37 AM
Thanks, I guess flaker's come with territory, at least I'm getting a lot of offers from CL and Ebay but don't want to accept cash for it as all my holding's are in litecoin right now and... I'm trying to get back into bitcoin without having to ask my wife to invest more of our money. Cheesy

This is the fridge. It really is very new and keeps things cold! Which is rare or a lot of RV's. Come on, somebody bite soon before I have to let this go for USD!

A lot of others I'm seeing on ebay for 5-7k+ around the same age and condition.
17  Economy / Goods / Re: (WTS)1986 Fleetwood Arrow RV Motorhome. on: October 20, 2013, 08:17:54 PM
Ahaha. Okay a friend who's a fan of Breaking Bad just explained it to me. I don't watch TV.

When I said "Rice maker and other stuff" that is not what was meant.

Had in mind family friendly camping trips or Burning Man but what you do with it is your business

Here's a photo that didnt load correctly in Craigslist.

Also listed it on Ebay after the guy who said he was very interested didn't show this morning.

19  Economy / Goods / (WTS)1985 Fleetwood Arrow RV Motorhome. $3250 on: October 19, 2013, 04:07:04 AM
The exterior could use a new paint job but the interior is in excellent condition. Two fully functional AC's, a brand new fridge with the stickers still on it, a nice gazebo with no holes or damage, brand new water pump , the propane system was reinstalled and checked for leaks, the two twins was replaced with a queen sized bed but there are still 3 other beds in the front of the RV. One folds down from the roof. Lots of storage space in the sides and on top as this is quite wide and long. Many of the lights were replaced with bright LED's that use 80% less electricity than the regular bulbs. Driver seats are comfortable with no rips or damage.

We had it tuned up before our trip and I am having a mechanic look at it again before selling. The engine runs very quiet, starts right up, steers and breaks well. No oil leaks, exhaust leaks, etc.

Now that my wife and I are done traveling from the West to East coast we are going to East Asia. So we are including some other items that won't be taken with us. A trickle charger that was $120. Good for your starter batter and two deep cells that are included. And a Juicer that was also over $150 brand new. Coffee maker, rice maker, and other stuff.

The tires are large with no sun cracks on them with no leaks and good treads. A 6,500 watts Onan generator. Roof was patched for leaks, a new 15 foot sewage hose is included.

This is located in Peyton Colorado. I am accepting offers.

Let me just link you to the CL posting I don't want to reupload all the photos!

http://cosprings.craigslist.org/rvs/4138156887.html

The fridge alone was $1400.

I set the buy it now at a high price but the reserve is actually quite a bit lower. How much do you think it's worth? I haven't sold many vehicles in my life so just kind of seeing what I can get for it.
