1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntRouter R1: 1st wireless networking device with bitcoin mining chip on: January 01, 2016, 10:06:53 PM

This device has OpenWrt support in trunk @ r48058  'Designated Driver'

Code for cgminer still seems to be unavailable at this time.

The Patch is for trunk or 'DD' DESIGNATED DRIVER Bleeding Edge

Once it is accepted in OpenWrt trunk I'll backport it to 'stable' or CC 15.05

It depends on how you do the flash....
you can do it from the bootloader or use sysupgrade -c -F

In any case...you should have a working serial console !!!

Patch submitted to OpenWrt

https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/560780/

Basic WiFi functions only at this point  .... No Hashing Yet.

Updated Bootloader available :

https://github.com/pinney/AR93xx-u-boot_mod

Compile it yourself if you want to overclock the device

Or use the binary file located at https://github.com/pinney/AR93xx-u-boot_mod/blob/master/bin/uboot_for_antminer.bin

Leaving aside the BM1384 Bitcoin ASIC, is there anything that makes the R1 superior to most other Wifi bridge device, such as:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004UAKCS6?keywords=iogear%20wifi%20bridge&qid=1445405932&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1

The Antrouter R1 runs OpenWrt Is that Superiority not Blatantly Obvious ?

What is color of the LEDs ?  (Needed for the OpenWrt port)

The Modified Bootloader is considered by many to be "unbrickable"

It's only a matter of time before someone manages to get one open.
Then others can benefit from the experience ...

OpenWrt Chaos Calmer Pre-Alpha.

Substantial Risk exists ... you may brick your device!

This is for ADVANCED USERS ONLY.

If you brick your new toy don't cry....you have been warned.

You should be ready to recover your device with a serial console.

A modified bootloader is also available.

Has anyone opened one of these yet?
Or maybe know what CPU it uses?
11  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CKPOOL - Open source pool/database/proxy/passthrough/library in c for Linux on: September 09, 2015, 04:53:13 PM

I have the same problem building (with ckdb) on Debian :

Error: Required library gsl-dev not found. Install it or disable support with --without-ckdb

What changes are needed to enable the build ?

Thanks
