If you can withdraw from mtgox then go make your millions!

Sounds good in theory, try making it reality.
4  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] 1 USB Block Erupter on: August 07, 2013, 02:48:45 PM
I have read bad things about this user. I would highly recommend escrow.

so have i, but i've seen little evidence to back it up. then again, i'm an accused scammer my self so take my word with a grain of salt.

Well it wouldn't hurt to protect yourself and use escrow. I haven't seen anyone demand goods be sent before payment is received.
5  Economy / Goods / Selling physical bitcoin on: August 07, 2013, 02:45:14 PM
I bought a few .05BTC physical bitcoins from serp. Seeing if there is any interest in resell value. I am looking to get .085-0.1BTC for each physical coin. I only have 4 left after handing a few out to family and friends.

You can see a picture here

Sad day when you lose your home.

Why do people feel the need to control others life's? Let them live there if they feel like it. It's private land so gtfo.

8  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: A block-withholding miner... on: August 07, 2013, 02:30:33 PM
I believe something like this has already happened in a pay per share pool. Forget the name but the miner withheld a block and the owner ended up taking out loans to pay his miners.

Lesson here pay per block.
9  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTB] 1 BTC for Skrill, Liqpay or GCheckout on: August 07, 2013, 02:10:18 PM
Make sure to use escrow. Never deal with new members, it will always turn out to be a scam if they don't use escrow.
10  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Creating My Own Mining Pool on: August 07, 2013, 04:58:05 AM
The general rule of thumb when it comes to starting your own pool: If you have to ask the question, you shouldn't do it.

I agree, sounds like you haven't even mine, you know gpus are done mining you need ASIC miners to keep up.

This is what it sounds like to me. I know many people that already unplugged from gpu.

If you are coming into a large sum of money then ASIC is the way to go unless this is just a hobby then you have nothing to worry about.

Is any of this surprising? America is no longer the land of the fee (if they ever were).

Yes I am American.
12  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auctioning 1 BFL ASIC Single IN HAND. 60 GH/s on: August 07, 2013, 02:51:39 AM
i dont want to trash your thread but there are avalons for sale at 80 BTC ...

Twice the size, worse watt/GB and less over locking potential. I'm sure he will get 80 BTC since they sell for 10k+ on eBay and a lot of people here just turn around and sell them there for a quick 25%

they go for 10k on ebay i assume since people on there don't know any better

Doesn't change the fact that they go for $10k.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whoever just sent me 0.001 BTC out of the blue... on: August 07, 2013, 02:10:48 AM
people should always double check the wallet address they are sending btc to

You're correct they should, however I don't suspect this is the case here. A random donator sent multiple donations.
14  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTS: 6 Bitcoins on: August 06, 2013, 06:25:57 PM
We have agreed on a price and are waiting on John K to setup escrow.
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am i missing something here? on: August 05, 2013, 09:36:31 PM
Either the seller got a great deal, or is about to get scammed with a PayPal transaction reversal.

Hmm I wonder which one is more likely...

I hate seeing these to be honest. There should be a cap when selling straight no collector value gift cards. They should be lucky to get 90% face value imo. I mean what intensive is there to buy gift cards from 3rd parties unless you are getting a deal? Am I missing something here too?
16  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Block Erupter USB @ 0.20 BTC + parcel -> Shipping to anywhere! on: August 05, 2013, 09:09:13 PM

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Famed Trader Joe Lewis Backs Bitcoin on: August 05, 2013, 08:06:00 PM
Has this been confirmed either real or hoax?

Would be great news for the community if we could have some real positive feedback. Unfortunately the media is so unreliable it allows reminds me of that commercial, "Where did you hear that?" "The internet".

Let me know I'm hoping for at least 10 chips right now, but will look at all the offers presented.

I have plenty of chips right now. PM me and maybe we can work something out.
