1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZNN] ZENON • The Network of Momentum on: April 02, 2021, 11:52:47 AM
So I was looking through the source code. It seems just a bitcoin/litecoin clone dressed up in pretty colors.

Why all the excitement? Other than "number go up" of course.

Hi everyone....

Been around a few years in this space, just don't post that often.

We've been working on BCHABC and BSV support for the BitLox hardware wallet, and as an offshoot we have created this extraction tool for splitting your coins.

Take care

Dana

ABC-SV TOOL
[Bitcoin Cash ABC/SV Tool]
Published by: BITLOX 🔐

🛠

Website   |  Official Telegram Group  |  iOS App Store  |  Google PlayStore  |  APK Direct Download  |  Youtube

  • Protect yourself from replay attacks and spend your Bitcoin SV and BCH safely.
  • The BitLox ABC/SV Tool gives bitcoin cash holders a way to safely and quickly split
Bitcoin Cash ABC and Bitcoin SV into any wallet they choose.
  • Private keys NEVER leave the app! It is NOT a wallet, it is designed only to help
    replay-protect coins on both blockchains.

🗝

Necessary for BCH users
Anyone who has Bitcoin Cash today MUST replay-protect their coins before spending them, or
they will almost certainly lose any claim to the coins on the Bitcoin SV blockchain.

Automatic and instant
The BitLox ABC/SV tool is a faster and safer alternative to some other services,
which require a lot of manual labor and leave room for errors.

The app handles everything automatically once backup keys are entered, and the pre-split coins
provided by the app are already confirmed, so there’s no waiting.

Easily upgraded and/or customized
The BitLox ABC/SV tool supports several methods for extraction now, and because it is wallet-agnostic,
it can easily be upgraded to support ANY configuration you desire within a very short period. Customized services are available.

2-tier replay protection
The app employs replay protection using nLockTime and pre-split coins. nLockTime takes advantage of a simple
but powerful method to prevent a replay attack, delaying the confirmation of any replayed transaction until all coins are fully
recovered. pre-split coins prevent a replay attack altogether by using outputs that are only valid on one chain, thus any node from the
other chain could not relay the protected transaction.

Supports partial recovery
BitLox ABC/SV Tool allows users to recover individual keys from their mnemonic phrases.
It does not require sending ‘the entire balance’ of a deterministic wallet.

Supports custom derivation paths
Since users are not locked into a single wallet app, BitLox ABC/SV Tool allows them to extract coins from otherwise
difficult places, such as strange BIP32/39/44 derivation paths or old paper wallets.

BUILT WITH
NodeJS, VueJS, Cordova

COMPATIBLE WITH
Mycelium, Bitpay, Jaxx and many more

Hi, this is the developer of Aureus, we were talking to the c-cex admin and getting ready to update our coin software when they disappeared. He had made suggestions to us on upgrading to defend against attacks (which we implemented) and have not heard anything from him for several days...

Has anyone heard of anything dire happening to the c-cex admin?

I personally was in a serious traffic accident this summer, so I know that sometimes things just happen.

Yuri was talking in chat just a few hours ago so I'm sure he is fine. Cheesy

Thanks, I appreciate the response.

6  Bitcoin / Meetups / Re: China Bitcoin Meetup on: April 24, 2017, 08:12:18 AM
Hey hey hey!!!

Well, first off what city? I mean, China is a BIG place.

I'm in HANGZHOU (杭州) and would be interested in meeting people.

I'm actually really connected with the overseas community, I design and make hardware wallets and would love to meetup and show them to people and answer questions.

My site: https://bitlox.com

My personal contact dana.coe@bitlox.com
Or just look me up on WeChat at danalamont - NOTE, make sure you mention bitcointalk or I'll probably think it's spam.

Cheers,

Dana in Hangzhou
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoolWallet Launched! Resellers are wanted. on: December 03, 2016, 04:41:20 AM
A little expensive at $199 though.

My point exactly.

CoolWallet is now available on: https://coolbitx.com/coolwallet/product.html

Great news! Are there units available for review? Or any reviews out yet?

Hi, BitLox here, we've recently reduced the prices on our wallets. The entry model goes for $98 now.

Works with iOS/Android/Windows/Mac/Linux/Tails
8  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: TREZOR Electrum and Tails on: December 03, 2016, 04:39:44 AM
Aussiehash seems to have done it see https://github.com/aussiehash/Bitcoin-for-SBC/blob/master/start.sh#L31 as for installing talk to aussiehash.

Bitlox hardware wallet claims that it will work with TAILS using the extreme privacy set.

Also note this https://labs.riseup.net/code/issues/10964

Sorry for the late reply, just saw this...

BitLox works in Tails by running a script that downloads and installs iceweasel from the debian sources.
Once it's downloaded, you install the plugin and access your wallet via the web app.

I just tested it out again this week, it's good to go on the current Tails (2.7).
Oh, and it works with any generic Tails copy, no specific to our set which uses an encrypted USB stick.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitlox hardware wallet on: December 03, 2016, 04:34:27 AM
It might be good but even after the 50% discount i think it is too expensive.I have a Ledger Nano and I am very satisfied with my choice,if one day I decide to upgrade and spend more on hardwallet wallet I will turn in tested and more trusted options like Nano s and Trezor.

Hi everybody.
Gosh, I'd like to drop the prices more, but as is we are cutting it really close. These things are not cheap to make, as the case is metal and the screens are rather pricey.
We deliberately chose $98 so we would be $1 cheaper than Trezor...

By the way, yes, we had considerable stiffness in the early models on the keypad. That's all fixed, now the keys have a very satisfying "click" feel to them.

As to the website, well, it's shopify, it works, I'm looking at moving it over to a wordpress-style shop soon.

Any questions, I'm always ready to answer!

This is not quite what you are talking about, but when you mentioned "p2p Internet" I remembered this:
https://maidsafe.net

It's a network where every asset is distributed and you "generate" and "spend" coins by allowing other computers to use your resources.

Check it out, it's still in the Alpha stage.

He said its a hot ICO and so i guess he also have invested to this and thus a victim. Bitlox was purposely contact to lure users to invest. These users are all victims of the scam, if you are one of those who invest to ICO scams you guys should be helping us identify this scammer.

By the way, they're saying they have agreement with companies but they will only release the source code after the ICO.

Even one of the companies confirms that.

All they have now is a verbal agreement not backed by anything tangible.

He told the same in Opair.  Grin

Name of the company that confirms something?
Then ask directly from them.

Hi everybody, BitLox here!

We are going to get our firmware updated to use this new exciting coin once the ICO ends and we get access to the tech specifics - SO we of course recommend getting a BitLox NOW....

I though it was some real company..
That is obsolete if some china guy wants to sell his wallets.

Hey everybody.

I'm a real person with a real company. I build hardware wallets.
You can check on our site, check Coin Telegraph, I have recent quotes there.
Check our YouTube page, heck you can see a video of myself chilling at Hong Kong harbor talking about our wallets.

NOW, these guys contacted us and asked if we would be interested in bringing their "ebitz" to our wallet.
1. No technical data was given us. We asked, they declined. They said to wait (like they told everybody)
2. If it is "similar to zcash" then fine. We are already in the planning stages for adding zcash anyways.
3. Hey, we are a small biz and will take publicity anywhere we can get it.
4. In NO WAY WHATSOEVER have we vouched for ebitz. I made that explicitly clear on my posts in their thread (which weirdly enough they did not delete)
5. I'm just living in China. For the last 15 years. I'm from originally Calvert County, Maryland, USA. My name and contact details are not a secret.

Just want to clear up any confusion. OF COURSE I want people to buy our wallets! I could care less about ebitz. I certainly have not "invested" one satoshi in them.

so will you  be able to help track them down after all you are now involved and maybe put some details as to how you were contact either by email or phone or skype. just add something that may help us find the scammer. lets help make bitcointalk a better place.

Ebitz support will be made available as a firmware upgrade, so for now you can use the BitLox to hold your Bitcoin SECURELY and be ready for ebitz when it goes live.

We've got apps for iOS, Android, Chrome and web. Windows, Mac and Linux all supported. You can even use the BitLox with TailsOS.  Grin

Prices have been recently slashed, so the entry model goes for only $98

Get your BitLox HERE https://bitlox.com

Great, its good to see your support here. I will check your product later, could be a good option to keep safe my coin.
didn't think you could a anonymous coin wallet app approved on ios

The app itself does not sign the transactions or hold coins. It merely constructs the transactions and interfaces with the hardware wallet.
And we have no facility to buy/sell fiat to BTC, so no issue with KYC.

@BitLox so now you confirm that the Ebitz project is Legit and not a scam and BitLox has an agreement/partnership with Ebitz? have the technical details been shared with you now? please confirm!

I can confirm that they reached out to us asking if we would be interested in bringing ebitz onboard with our wallet.

We have an agreement that they will share their technical details with us after the ICO.

you mean to say: "BitLox has agreement with Ebitz to bring Ebitz on board and you are 100% confident that Ebitz is not a Scam. So that is why BitLox has tweeted Ebitz from BitLox official twitter account"

in other words BitLox as a company has agreement in place to bring Ebitz on board and is 100% confident that Ebitz is not a scam!

Agreed? @BitLox

No, I was contacted by them and asked if I want to add compatibility for their coin to our code.
As I've stated, I have not seen any of their tech, so I'm adopting a wait and see attitude.
If they make the tech available to us, we'll build it into our firmware. That's why I tweeted about them. That's the extent of my knowledge.
I am always of the opinion that the proof is in the code. We'll see.

No. the main concern is... everything is on paper. there is no wallet .. genesis block.. whitepaper... etc.  which is a concern..

howerver, ther are a couple of hardware wallet companies seeming to show interest in this project. i wonder what they based their trust on, but it is verifiable from Bitlox site -> twitter link -> Ebitz reference

so i am very keenly looking at it but trying to connect the dots. i hope it turns out to be as good a coin as the Dev team proclaims to be!

We have asked them for technical details, but none have been forthcoming. Since we have already been in the planning stages for supporting zcash, it's not difficult to support these guys.
I cannot vouch for the veracity of any of their claims.

KeepKey refuses to allow passphrase protected wallets in Chrome like Trezor always has. If your KeepKey seed is stolen so are your bitcoins. Now realize the same applies to Trezor, which is why smart Trezor users always use a passphrase on top of the PIN. With a passphrase protected wallet if your Trezor seed is stolen the thief gains nothing without the passphrase.

KeepKey says if you want a passphrase protected wallet you have to jump through hoops installing python dependencies for Electrum-2.6.3. I have done it see directions here and it works but Electrum is a pain to use with KeepKey. For some reason KeepKey makes it intentionally difficult to password protect wallets while Trezor makes it simple and even recommends you use a passphrase. That is why I no longer use my KeepKey. I either use Trezor or my BitLox.

I'm stupendously honored to be included in this commentary.

By the way, the problem with the key "feelings" in the first BitLox units has been vanquished. It was over-application of the glue by the assemblers, and the extra circuit board for the keypad needed to be trimmed back for the battery. This results in a practically flat faceplate with perfect keypad feeling.
