1  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: BTC Mining and migrants on: September 21, 2015, 04:41:45 PM
I think, that 99,999% of them are  never in his life heard from BTC.
I agree with this its amazing how many "connected" people have no idea what BTC is heck most Americans i talk to about coins think its illegal because of some news broadcast a few years ago.
2  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What do you think about this miner? on: September 21, 2015, 07:02:08 AM
I would look for an Antminer S3 You can get them and a psu for $150 That will get you around 445Gh/s @385 Watts.
3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain AntMiner S1 Setup [HD] on: September 19, 2015, 05:34:26 PM

Probably an ip address problem.

Download ip scanner from http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com to find location of your S1 and take it from there Smiley.
Yep you were right! Im hashing @184Ghs sweet. Now its time for more. lol
4  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: September 19, 2015, 10:38:29 AM
You can try DNS: 8.8.8.8

S1 default IP can be either

IP: 192.168.1.99
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.1

or

IP: 192.168.2.99
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.2.1

I am having problems connecting to my S1 i have configured the static IP on my laptop but i get to this part. For the DNS Setting:  Select “Obtain DNS server address automatically" I don't have that option and i also cant find my miner with the advanced ip scanner program. Is there a specific DNS address i should enter?

Thank you very much! I am hashing away beautifully now! Smiley ^_^

Hey need some help i just got an S1 today i followed the guide but i cant find the miner on my network and changing my LAN to static on my laptop still wont work. The miner seems to power on properly i have the red light and green light on the control board are on as well as both LAN port indicator lights so i don't think the miner is dead i just cant find it on the network. Thanks for any help you guys!

If your break even is 10-11 months you should be looking at where you think the overall network will be in 10-11 months.  If you're barely making a profit right now and the network grows you'll never make your money back.  People always try to assume no network growth but that's simply not the case if you look at the history.

Why not do cloud mining where you do not have to worry about equipment, and 100 GH/s for BTC0.16 (appox $37.00) for four years.

Please view our posting in Marketplace -> Securities

100 Gh for four years so i pay you $37 and get what $5 at the end of that 4 years yea right... Ill pass!
13  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: mining with my laptop on: September 15, 2015, 06:58:54 PM
Do the work for me? I couldn't find some of the parameters like hardware power + cost of maintain and delivery ( which I don't know if exist )
With the U3 @63Ghs You should see around 8-10 Cent a day. Now keep in mind that with difficulty increases that figure will go down fast.

I think they are good for lotto mining.  Or learning mining possibly.

These are not something you plan to ROI on.  Its in the fun category.
Oh yes my Gridseed Orb was bought for the same reason as a toy to learn with. Now its hashing away on Slush's pool hoping to hit a block lol.

16  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Larger Miners For Cheap on: September 09, 2015, 04:22:53 AM
Well this thread isn't totally dead im looking for the same thing. My power is free but im limited to 4 120v 30A circuits to run the miners on. So i have a decent amount of power just need something to use it lol.
