Let me put some things together and see if I can give you a taste of what I have to offer.

I want a piece of him. How can I contribute to the cause?

Is it possible to make a service like this?
1) you make the account on the service
2) the service gives you code (example: 34757893368) and a phone number.
3) you go out and buy a phone card ( it's usable on phone boxes )
4) you insert the phone card on a phone box
5) you call the phone number given by the service
6) you insert the code: 34757893368
7) the service will instantly empty the phone card and will convert the money in bitcoin on the account.

Do you pay fiat or btc into the service? How does the phone cash out to you?

We are working really hard with localbitcoins.com, which aims to be best site for buying and selling bitcoins with cash, locally.

Just today we updated the site, now we have an escrow feature with SMS notification, worldwide. This makes the whole process easier:

1. buyer puts the amount he wants to buy, bitcoin address and phone number for sms notification, gets secret escrow code
2. buyer and seller meet at internet cafe, only seller has internet
3. buyer gives cash to seller
4. seller releases escrow via internet
5. buyer gets escrow release confirmation with SMS, with secret escrow code

We are working with the site full time. Next we are going to develop a feature, which allows releasing the escrow with SMS, which enables bitcoin cash transactions without internet access (both buyer and seller need only SMS-enabled phone).

All feedback welcome!

I really like this and am really glad to see some serious time and energy put into localizing exchanges.  I feel that its only going to get increasingly difficult to run an online bitcoin exchange.

Wouldn't it be possible to say that LargeCoin's tech is just not near as advanced?  Also, if LargeCoin keeps their promise to have it in user hands by the end of July that would make them market leader for a while.  There is no way BFL is actually going to have their stuff out anytime soon.

They say starring at a computer too long isn't good for you either, but we're probably all hooked on that one.

What about us Red Cross volunteers who like to snort coke while missile shopping? Can we be evil too?
hahahaha, that put me in a better mood I must admit

I agree.  Its just like cash.  Some snort coke with it, some donate it to the red cross, others buy missles.

I agree... The whole blasted point is to bring in a non-biased 3rd party
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Evil of religion, and investment into IBB, Islamic Bitcoin Bank on: April 06, 2012, 12:31:04 AM
Dude, IBB gives interest free loans.  Investing in it has nothing to do with your beliefs or ideals, its all about rates of return and available funding.  Bitcoin is all about free market capitalism and if IBB wants a religious religious correlation to be draw between their name and a set of ideals, who cares.  Its all about bringing home the bacon.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / What do you want your BitCoins to buy? on: April 06, 2012, 12:15:36 AM
I am starting an online storefront that accepts only bitcoins for payment.  I have been able to work out most of the hard part on the backend, but now I want to know what it really is that people are looking for online.  No idea if I just need to go for general goods and computer parts or if there are any specific elements.

Please share your thoughts and let me know what is needed.  I'll find some way of returning the favor like hooking you up with a coupon or something.

there is no problem when buying with paypal, its all with selling.  thats the total risk as paypal assumes the responsibility on the seller not the buyer.

I've been watching for a long time.  Currently mining @ 2GH/s including two different fpga boards.  currently debating between a BFL single or waiting for the new mini-rig to be announced next week.  Anxious to see if LargeCoin really is working on an ASIC but don't buy it.  I also use GPUMAX and other awesome services offered by the community.

I've been using bitcoin for a while, but just used the forum as a reference, never really cared to share a whole lot back with anyone on here.  recently i have had more questions than i could find answer and think it might be a good time to jump in.
