1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why many projects are dead on: October 26, 2018, 10:59:42 AM
That should be expected as it is a natural principle. Most projects are dead because of poor management by the team members because they lack the expertise in crypto and failed to seek for counsel from experts. Also, projects with no backing product or tangible ideology behind is likely to go down the drain as it will lose the interest of potential investors.
I agree with your thoughts, apart from SCAMs there were many weak ICOs that had raised enough funds during the peak of hype around crypto and failed when the market changed the direction. Only the projects with a strong community around and with a decent MVP will succeed.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who controls the market? on: October 26, 2018, 10:52:03 AM
Remember, this whole thing about crypto is largely decentralized, thus, there is no single authoritative body in control of the crypto market. Although there are few centralized platforms among crypto, the market is largely influenced by the efforts and influence of the users of crypto. How well sellers and buyers treat the coins on the market affect the performance of the market.
I think BTC whales greatly impact on the market direction, they have enough funds to pump or dump any altcoin. My another assumption is that many big traders use trading bots that work almost simultaneously and when the market is going up (or down) we can see changes in the price of the top 10-30 cryptocurrencies. These are just my own thoughts...
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is your full time job? on: October 25, 2018, 06:47:27 PM
Hey guys. Today I want to discuss the theme related to work. Do you have a full time job and crypto is just an additional way to earn money? Or you are working with crypto everyday and It takes all your time. If so how much do you earn per month? Interesting to learn more about crypto investors.
Nowadays crypto is not as profitable as it was in December-January. At that time it could replace the main job for me, but today I can review it only as a side-job. Just compare the numbers on BountyHive, the top 5 bounty hunters earned 100-150 ETH per Month ( Shocked Shocked Shocked) today they earn like 12-16 ETH...
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your wallet from hackers on: October 25, 2018, 06:38:44 PM
This is for those who use wallets with cheap transaction fee, such as ethereum based wallets.
There are some who cannot yet afford to purchase a hardware wallet. On that note, i have a suggestion on how your wallet can be safe from hackers. I have always noticed wallets that get easily hacked are those that are subject to public view.
Try as much as possible to have a separate cold wallet address that you do not copy and paste the private key, and neither do you share the address with anyone. You can use it to store most of your valuable coins.
Even if you want to transfer any coin or token to an address belonging to another person, first transfer it to your public wallet before sending it out.
I think people just need to follow the basic rules of security: double check the website address before authorization (make a bookmark), don't provide your personal data and private keys to anyone, and stay away from suspicious sites.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODLing will get you nowhere on: October 25, 2018, 06:31:16 PM
The past week, as I've been looking to invest in recently finished ICOs since most of their prices are way below ICO price, I noticed the same thing mentioned over and over in their telegram channels.
Listen very closely yo: The price will never rise if everyone HODls!
Prices are boosted through supply and demand and if a vast majority of people who own the coin are not trading it, than you are severely cutting in to that chain.
Instead of Hodling, you should be buying and making strategic trade choices.
Sometimes HODL is not the best option, but what should bounty hunters do when after listing the token price decreases in almost 6-8 times compared to the Token Sale price??? If they will sell low, someone buy their tokens and sell high when the price go up again and those who sold low will have FOMO after all this... Think twice before taking any actions.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Should you invest in Neo ? on: October 24, 2018, 12:01:23 PM
Hello guys !
I'm not gonna make a topic about the main qualities of neo , because you may know ...
Yes , NEO is a huge project , that's certain.
Here , I will approach the financial aspect.
Indeed , you might know that when you hold NEO , you will have gas (dividend).
.....
Yeah, that's a great advantage of NEO, it rewards long term holders - the more NEO you hold, the more rewards you can get. NEO is a reliable project with big plans for 2018-2019 years, the price updated its minimums. If I had some spare money on hand, I would buy some NEO coins for the long-term.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is a bubble? on: October 24, 2018, 11:54:10 AM
Hello. I want to hear your opinion. Cryptocurrency is a bubble? How long will it last? Is it worth continuing to invest in it?
Nope, cryptocurrency is not a bubble but a very risky field for investors because of lack of regulations, FUD and other manipulations. If you want to see a bubble, take a look at the chart of Bitconnect on CMC.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying low-volume tokens? on: October 24, 2018, 11:50:26 AM
I noticed this phenomenon. Often someone buys up all the proposed tokens with a small amount of trading (for example, look at SMT on hitbtc this night), and after a few days these tokens go up in price very much. Is it worth buying such a token?
I tried to make profit on trading low volume altcoin once, and the results were quite positive until one day  that coin lost 50% of its value because of dump, fortunately  the price recovered within a week. It's rather risky to trade low-volume altcoins, because of unpredictable pumps and dumps...
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC in crypto, does it really require? on: October 24, 2018, 11:44:18 AM
Do we really need to submit our personal details to ICOs for buying the token or for participating in it's bounty and airdrop?
I always wonder why do we need to give our vital info to ICOs that most are not even likely to come on in crypto space and crypto is all about decentralization but submitting our info has made it look centralized to me.
There is no regulation in crypto yet so why should we give our details to unknow ico organizers, so claim to prevent some region in participating in the ico because of the country law but those ICOs comes from the same region and country that prevent their own citizen from participating, should we say they are using style to rob us or our details is being used for other purpose .
If not KYC then what will be as effective against cheaters? I don't think that KYC procedure is necessary for Airdrops, but for bounty campaigns it is rather useful. Of course you need to be very careful with choosing a bounty campaign  and sending your personal data, always remember about the risks.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Truth about altcoins on: October 21, 2018, 10:24:11 AM
all i see in crypto now is drama, a drama that will shock guys, in my own childish opinion as usual,  I encourage you all to atleast spare $100 into one or two altcoins in this dip and watch how the drama unfold, u will be happy u did, lastly, on no condition should u sell ur altcoins at loss, it's all game, be strong, don't panic...
 Thank you all
I completely support your words. Investing in altcoins is risky because they are more volatile in price than BTC. So it's better to weigh the pros and the cons, make a research and follow the trends.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH so popular on: October 21, 2018, 10:18:02 AM
Eth has become popular, do you know the reasons?
I think people are too stress with BTC decreasing, then they sell BTC out to buy more ETh.
Just compare the charts of BTC and ETH, ETH has lost about 88% from its all time high while BTC only 65%. The answer is obvious - BTC is getting more stable in price.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you find interesting ICO ? on: October 20, 2018, 06:01:56 PM
Where do you find interesting ICO or crypto projects to invest ? Here on bitcointalk announcements or on other websites related to new ICO  announcements !
I have been checking new announcements on this forum everyday for almost 3 months. From my experience I would say that you may find 2-3 promising ICOs per week at best. That's why it's easier to use different ICO trackers like ICObench.
13  Other / Archival / Re: So many Bounties-Which one is trusted? on: October 20, 2018, 05:57:16 PM
I have checked the latest active bounties on bountylord.com and found many of them but only few are rated as 3 or 4 so any of you here working for any of those bounties listed there and found it trusted source of earning stakes/tokens/coins... I want to do the twitter campaign...
Hmm... never heard about this site, for newcomers I would recommend to use reliable sources such as BountyHive or BountyPlatform, they collect the most trustworthy bounty campaigns.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Monero become next BTC? on: October 20, 2018, 05:54:05 PM
Currently, Monero is the 10th largest coin by market capitalization. Crypto miners are attracted to Monero because it has emerged as the most profitable altcoin in the past few months.
A research firm Satis Group, which forecasts the cryptocurrency market and the fate of individual cryptocurrencies, published a reporting stating that Monero could be worth $18,000 within the next five years. That represents a more than an 18,000% increase from its present value, which stands at just over $106.
From"Monero's price: all you need to know"
How do you think about XMP? Another BTC?
Nope, BTC won't be replaced by any of altcoins at least in the next 10 years, this is a digital gold) However, XMP may be ranked first among the anonymous cryptocurrencies.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018 is the year of altcoins on: October 20, 2018, 05:50:22 PM
to get dumped and forgotten. Not all of course.
I would say 2018 is the year of disappointment for the those who entered this market in December-January. I'm glad to see with the Autumn many altcoins have changed their down trend and going up.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people try to create their own coins? on: October 19, 2018, 10:32:20 AM
There are so many coins, but many of them just a copy of anothers. Why they waste their time for nothing? Grin
Maybe some people are interested in the technology and try to start their own project, be creative. But mostly this is just because of money, it's very unlikely to see a reliable project made by amateurs.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you make money from ICO? on: October 19, 2018, 10:28:29 AM
An initial coin offering is similar in concept to an initial public offering (IPO), both a process in which companies raise capital, while an ICO is an investment that gives the investor a cryptocoin, more commonly known as a coin or a token in return for investment, which is quite different to the issuance of securities as is the case in an IPO investment. Do you invest in ICO? and has you make money from it?
The industry of ICOs is not really profitable today, many good projects can't even reach the Soft Cap. If there would be any reliable platforms for investors, that could give assurances, then things would get better.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dying off? on: October 19, 2018, 10:22:50 AM
"September has seen the least amount of funds raised by #ICOs in more than a year. Are ICOs dying off?"
Yeah, seems like the market is going through tough times now. But I hope it's temporary and we will see another rise of ICOs as soon as the market starts recovering.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Government does not like crypto? on: October 19, 2018, 10:19:45 AM
Cryptocurrency is the most popular terms nowadays. People like cryptocurrency so much. Many people are involving in the crypto world. Everyone wants to earn money from cryptocurrency. While people are liking cryptocurrency, Government does not like it at all. In some countries, the government banned the cryptocurrency. What is the reason behind this banned?
Crypto is a really young and unstable market, that is just in the beginning of its establishment. Governments don't know how to adopt this technology, but I think in due time we will see that the monetary system will be shifted into blockchain.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if Bounty is scam? on: October 12, 2018, 11:04:14 AM
How do you know if it is a scam? Because I have encountered a bounty that let me finish all the translations first and didn't respond to me after I have passed it. I hope bounties will not be like this anymore because they demand and we did our part but they didn't do theirs. I hope you could answer my question.
Just use the same methods as if you were going to invest in ICO, make a full research: read a whitepaper, find out more about the team members and their experience, analyze the social profiles. If you are searching for reliable bounties, I would recommend you to use BountyPlatform or BountyHive.
