1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: atrad.io Scam? on: March 31, 2021, 05:04:14 PM
Hey folks,

came across this website atrad.io and as a bitcoin-trader victim (they offered a similar scheme a few years back that was huge) I am wondering what this is about. Secondly I find it very strange that there are nil discussions here or in other forums, apart from a very short one on reddit.

Thanks!

As pointed out by reputable users here its scam and always think about running when you see some red flags or something you doubt about the platform to avoid any confusion. Seeking information is good and good thing you go here since this place is a good venue to ask something like this so for now just go to known platform to avoid scamming and don't grab those unknown who offer to good to be true since its scam.

Thank's for your advise, arwin100.

And in general, thanks to all participants in this thread for their efforts and time. Very appreciated!

For pesonal reasons I have to sell my Bitcoin Casino that was in the making for over a year. The Casino is based on a well known platform, included are all Betsoft Games and could be operational within days. Though it is online, I have not started to market it at all, so there are no members, no bad reputation etc.

I have invested so far close to EUR 20,000 and will be happy to recoup at least half of it.

Included in the package are the domain names, all artwork (which believe me is great) a unique theme and a set of banners designed by one of the most rewarded designer in business.

Litecoin and Dogecoin deposits and withdrawals are implemented as well. Other means of deposits can be implement as the new owner wishes.

I accept offers via PM, please note that proof of funds might be requested in form of a signed bitcoin address, before I hand over further details. So no time-wasters please!

Escrow with a mutual agreed trusted member of bitcointalk is a prerequisite.

Why should I buy your Casino?

Well, among other reasons you get it within no time and for about half the price. Secondly, the theme is unique, so is the design.

Thank you for reading!

Why is selling account bad? What if you get one as a loan collateral?

I don't lend any money nor do I care about receiving any accounts as collateral. It's an unethical thing to do IMO and people scam using bought accounts. Hence I consider it bad but the forum allows it.

I wouldn't call it unethical. Otherwise every pawnshop owner in the country, who is lets say, taking in a $20,000 Rolex watch for $5,000 and sell it if you default to pay back for $12,000 would act unethical as well. A collateral for a loan is a collateral that can and should be used in case a loan is on default.

Since we are in a mostly unregulated grey zone, there are obviously none or very little options to bring a case forward to the courts by any legal means. So the entire "escrow business" is a business of common trust. By definition - and this has been mentioned earlier a couple of times, escrow is a third party and a third party only. In this sense I would consider self escrow as highly immoral and unethical, even if it can't be deemed as illegal or criminal, due to the unregulated state of Bitcoin.
