1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buy Bitcoins Directly? on: May 16, 2012, 12:14:46 AM
I did some research and bitInstant may be my best option. I'm trying to stay away from Paypal for obvious reasons, not worth the risk.

Thanks guys.

None without their own unique risks.
So if I'm looking to get a quick 100 bitcoins or so, what would you suggest?

Very noob question, Is there any proven way to buy bitcoins directly online? Like with a credit card for example.

Whitelist request. I've been browsing the forum non-stop since I joined and I think I've capped out on all the info I can gain while being restricted to "newbie".

Thanks.

Even though I'm logged in browsing, gaining information and what not my time is stuck at 25 minutes.

It's been like this for the past couple of days. Any reason why?

It's now at 26 minutes.
Lucky me.

http://Ogrr.com - Giving away 1 bitcoin to make 10 posts.

is there some extra step to this offer? i made more than 10 posts a while back and nothing changed... do you have to PM a mod or something after your 10 posts?
They don't have an automatic process for this offer so go ahead and PM a mod.

Cool list.  Maybe one day people will be buying yachts with bitcoins they made filling out online surveys, especially if they gamble with it and run it up.
No they won't. Payouts on those sites arn't that high :3
Gambling, you are more likely to lose that win, thats how they make money.
I'm sure nobody will replace their day job with the websites I listed. It's all just for fun! Smiley.
True but Lord knows most people don't have that type of time lol...

Good stuff, 2gb is a lot even these days.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question: Free Bitcoin Giveaway sites on: May 14, 2012, 03:37:59 AM
I personally don't look to these types of services, especially as a newbie. I find that keeping my head down and learning is the safest way to go about using bitcoins.

My bet is that he/she is just a middle aged American with a anime fetish or so Tongue
I thought the same thing in all honestly, but thats just how I think lol.

May as well just skip Paypal altogether. If you can't find another form of obtaining bitcoins then you probably shouldn't be getting into this anyway.

Hey guys, I'm Stan. My brother introduced me to bitcoins recently so I took it upon myself to gain some experience with them and join up on this here forum.

See you around.
