Yes and I am greatful for that.  In "the business equation" of the early days of this project I have a theory that "greater contributions" will equal to a higher success rate of projects and that lesser contributions will contribute to a higher rate of projects being unsuccessful (which is obviously not my goal).  I think at some point it will definitely become true that lesser amounts of contributions will be worthwhile.

It could be that my vision of what projects will need in order to be successful is overreaching what folks will be asking for.  But at the same time I am not aiming for this to be purely a micro-donation service or a lending service, this forum is good enough for lending IMO.  This site is designed to be highly specialized with future plans to include more substantial resources to contributors and project makers and I think a minimal deposit value sends the message that this is a serious endeavor.

I think that when we can prove we have success stories, then we can lower the barrier for entry.

How is 1000x0.1 btc contributions different to 1x100 btc contributions? There is no difference for the project because at the end of the day they have their donations.

Yeah but... that is 900 times more work... or 900 times more quantity of angel investors which quite frankly I am not sure a service like this will end up with that many users within the foreseeable future.  As the administrator it is my responsibility to make sure projects can get funded within the time limit before they expire and the site is nowhere near a 1000 x N number of contributors.  Maybe it will be different in 6 months or a year from now, no one knows, I am open to being convinced that I am wrong  Smiley

I think this is an excellent suggestion, 200btc is quite a nice bounty for a resourceful developer.

Are you posting them manually?

Posting what manually?

"Minimum ฿2.00 is required."

Why?

If I just want to give 0.01 BTC even I should be able to donate 0.01 BTC.  Right?

You will have to convince me that .10 donations are in the best interests of project makers.  I am doubtful that it is but I am open to hearing arguments as to why a project may be worth .10 to donate towards.

I am looking into the other concerns raised here but FB and Twitter logins are not supported at this time.

With all that said I think it will take a Zhou Tong type of developer with nothing to lose to make it.

Your thoughts (and feelings) are irrelevant to all the people saved by firearms each and every day:

One of the methods that I am aware of, and it's rather simple, is via TOR. You can get to the Silk Road, and purchase illegal firearms with Bitcoins. This method is pretty common, and easy for a criminal who can't get their firearms by legal means.

You're wrong there, not only is using SR for firearms not common its extremely rare and highly unlikely to see the product actually delivered to you without a warrant for your arrest.    The common method of acquiring firearms illicitly is listed below.

There is also no inherent thing as an "illegal firearm" only a firearm device that a government may or may not have some regulation thereof, I'm afraid the Brady campaign and Hillary Clinton has clouded the language you use to describe this issue.  Firearms are firearms, neither legal or illegal.  Kind of like saying "illegal cars," illegals guns is a facetious statement used by the anti-gun lobby, if it is a car or not, the legal status has nothing to with how they are acquired.  Buying it over SR might be illegal (then again, maybe not if they go through their FFL, how do you know?).  Firearms are shipped by mail to FFL licens holders all the time and prior to the 1960's mere citizens could mail order firearms to their door.

What is common is mister "thug for life with a felony" gets his girlfriend to buy the guns for him.

WRT to OP, I want you to make illegal the physical process of projecting a piece of lead propelled at great force down a metal tube.  After you have altered the laws of physics to make this happen at that time you might be able to make firearms "illegal" in the only meaningful way possible.  Until that time mankind will manufacturer and create firearms to varying degrees of sophistication with the most basic of metal shop machinery and a little bit of chemistry.

I'm sorry but I do not understand what your problem is.  Have you tested the site?  Does everything work as expected? If not I would like to hear about it, if you don't want to help that's fine too. Thanks!

How can I test it if I don't want to create an account and don't have a twitter to login? That is beautiful thing about bitcoins all you need is a deposit address and your money is there, no one knows who you are, but your clearly didn't explore that side of the process. You just throw a site together, and you legit threw it together cause you did no security checks Wink

That's fine, you don't have to.

So no comment on the security of your site?

I don't see a security question in your comment.
