Maybe you installed different ATI drivers with one of the "wrong" versions of the Stream SDK which can hurt performance, that's my best guess. CGminer has some relevant documentation. Sorry I can't help more, just a noob like you.

I doubt you'll make any kind of progress trying to mine with integrated graphics even if you ever did manage to get it working. What dll does it ask for?

This is brilliant and probably the start of a future market.

Where would my miner's sub-page be? I'm not running the actual p2pool script since I'm just using p2pmining.com, but the site is just basic info and graphs, no miner services.

Thanks for the help, it is appreciated.

http://p2pmining.com/?method=pool  -> 'Current miners' tab -> select your address/miner

Also, you can use cgminer to control fan speeds, check the cgminer thread for info etc.

Ah, thank you! That's one mystery solved.

I tried CGminer's fan controller but, just like MSI afterburner and other such programs, setting a value doesn't actually do anything as far as I can tell (it sounds exactly the same when set to any speed), and the fan speed is always reported at a constant 30% even when I can hear it spin up/down automatically as the fan (which only has 5 or so pre-set speeds instead of continuously, gradually adapting to temps like most coolers) and GPU do battle with one another. I'm not even sure if there exists a way to actually manually set it, having ventured far beyond the point of relevance in terms of pages of google results for various carefully constructed queries that should've found anyone else with a solution, but the my p2pmining issue was the big one.

From your screenshot looks like 153MHash/s is your avg which isn't bad. If you want to increase your payout you have to put more MHash/s behind your workers. But that take money you might not have or the time to setup the system to allow for the added heat and power needs. Consider the larger picture when doing these kind of things, will this pay for itself or can I re-use this after I don't want to Bitcoin mine anymore.

That average is off, I have a 5850 at 800mhz getting about 280 MH/s, and I'm only running it since I had the thing as a gaming machine anyways so I figured I might as well give the machine a little extra purpose and put it to work mining.. only wish I had bothered to fully check out bitcoin years ago when I first heard about it, but the past is gone, and now is always the best time to be mining from what I gather from the bitcoin theory of operation. I know that rate is a little low for my card, I tried renaming the .bins and uninstalling my current Stream SDK using the setup files leftover from the installer in the extract location and installing AMD stream SDK 2.5 from Catalyst 11.9 but that didn't seem to make a difference.

My laptop also has a 6770m, which I downclocked from 725 to 650 to avoid stressing the hardware too much (I want the machine to last), which gets about 80 MH/s. Unfortunately, there seems to be absolutely no way of manually pegging the fan at full speed so I can run it full speed at temps I'm more comfy with (it goes up to about 68c at 650mhz), and I've worked in desktop support for years and tried speedfan as well as some other archaic programs that were rumored to possibly work with the HP laptop. The only way of having any influence on the cooling scheme is by installing a huge, bloated package from HP called Cool n Quiet or something like that, and the only options there are "cool" - which downclocks everything, or "quiet" - which slows DOWN the fan, of course neither of which is any help.

LONGPOLL? Yup, it's ok, that's how p2pool works.

There's 'Instant Payout' tab on your miner's sub-page, sign the message and you should get your coins (never tried it myself;).

Can't help with your other questions, sorry.

Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Also I'm only getting 2.8 shares/min instead of ~3.5/min with a normal pool, is this to be expected? And http://p2pmining.com/index.php?method=pool says "Seven Day PPS: 0.00001378 BTC", does that mean I'm really mining about 1/3 as much as I would from, say, BTC Guild with 0.0003?

Also, the p2pmining thread says they have instant payout, so where/how do I do that?

Thanks
