1  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: June 07, 2015, 02:11:18 AM
So I just came back to see what's going on after about a year...
It seems that all AsicMiner shares are now worthless and this turned into a scam?
2  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling: Windows 7 Professional on: June 13, 2014, 02:48:13 AM
I have a few copies of Windows 7 Professional 32/64bit Retail. I'm asking $32 USD in BTC for 1 product key, Or buy 2 product keys for $52 USD in BTC. The keys I have are NOT OEM, MSDN or Technet, the product keys  I am offering are licensed for personal use. I can provide you the download link, or if you want I can mail the official installation DVD for an additional fee.

Ok, I'll bite.  I need 1 Win 7 Pro x64 key and 1 Win 8 Pro x64 key for $52 USD in BTC.  What site do you use to check USD to BTC conversion rate these days?

Thanks,

Just submitted my claim.  Will I get a confirmation it went through correctly?  I believe I used my publicly listed Bitfunder address but now I can't find which address is my public address in Bitfunder.

Thanks,

So are these things shipping yet?  I'm kind of anxious that I haven't received mine yet because this process took so long I now live at a different address than when I started.  Should I be worried I haven't received them yet?

Ukyo, you have not responded to anyone's question about how to get Asicminer shares out of Bitfunder.

Why is this so hard?  Please respond with a recommendation for how we, your Bitfunder customers who you have taken fees from, should go about converting our shares to direct shares.

Thank you,

Ill bet you find the credentials are entered wrong, or something like that
was it running before?, or u just got it?

The credentials are entered fine.  I'm not even trying to enter more than 1 pool.
I just received my unit.  Put my info in to the .95 settings, it started hashing ~80-90 Ghash/sec.  Upgraded firmware to 0.97, started hashing ~10 Ghash/sec.

I'm sure it isn't just bad credentials.  Am I supposed to do anything after applying the new firmware?  There doesn't even seem to be much that could be done in the web GUI.  Do I need to SSH to the thing to make 0.97 work?

Thank you,

_theJestre
I had similar experience with all of the restarts, and was cured by power-cycling the machine.  I highly recommend 0.97 as well... it will work.

Sometimes when hitting the warm reboot button for an upgrade, it seems to start a second instance of cgminer, and cause problems, which a power-cycle cured, this happened almost every time I reflashed.

any time I change firmware, I have to power cycle the sats.(instead of reboot)
and by power cycle, I mean physically using the power supply to turn the miner off for 20 seconds.

You may also need to clear your browser casche, and close the browser, reopen...

Well, I really would like to run 0.97 but it isn't working on my Mercury.  I tried the enablecores.bin and I swear I did power cycle it by turning off the PSU.  Maybe I'll try again later, trying to see if 0.96 can work better than 0.95 now.

Looks like 0.96 is a dud to me as well, trying 0.96.1 now.

Thanks for the suggestions,

_theJestre

EDIT: In 0.96.1 I saw 105 Ghash/sec for a brief minute after a power cycle, then it dropped steadily until ~10 Ghash/sec again.  Is that indicative of some kind of known problem?

Well I still am getting the "Running (Connect to CGMiner API failed)" error from the web GUI.
Yes, I have cleared the cash on the browser, AND used a different browser.

More importantly I can tell it isn't doing anything because the pool isn't getting much work.

Looks like 0.96 isn't up to prime time for my Mercury.  Going back to 0.95 because at least that was hashing something.  Unless there is something else to do to get 0.96 to work?

Thanks,

_theJestre

Not that I know of. People have had bad luck with .96 too, I haven't. You did check the box in the mining page that say enable CGMiner API right?
Indeed I did, thanks.

I was also letting it run for a long time and it didn't report a single share to my pool for over 7 minutes, so there is some kind of problem beyond just the web GUI not displaying CGIminer info.  I don't feel like SSH'ing to the thing tonight to muck about [and also haven't really read up on what I need to avoid doing so as to not void the warranty] so I've just flashed back to 0.95 which it came with.  So far I'm getting a report of ~80 Ghash/sec @ 42.0 C so I think I'll go relax and let it run overnight.  At least it won't just be sitting there doing nothing.

I haven't tried the 0.961 yet, maybe will see if that works tomorrow.

Thanks again,

Hi all,

I was so excited to set up my Mercury today.

Got the PSU all hooked up, took two boots but then it was up and running.
Thought things were going so well I should go ahead and upgrade to the latest version, since I was instructed to do so IN ALL CAPS.

Well, firmware revision 0.97 isn't making me love this machine.  It is "hashing" at 0.1 Gh/sec...

I get a CGMiner status on the web GUI "Running (Connect to CGMiner API failed)"

I did nothing but flash to the latest firmware.  What gives?  Anyone else have problems with 0.97?
Any ideas on how to fix it?

Thank you,

_theJestre

All you had to do was clear your browser cache, and restart the browser.

Dude, please...

I used a completely different browser just to be sure.

EDIT: punctuation.

Not sure, I don't think I've seen that. I forgot to mention I had to run the EnableCores.bin after downgrading from .97 to .96 as it also disabled all cores on all dies and they didn't re-enable on downgrade.

Run the EnableCores.bin like uploading firmware?  Thanks so much for the info.

What does it mean when the big red light is on?

Just upgraded to 0.96.

Thanks,

Yeah downgrade to .96 immediately. Are your fans running?

Yes, fans are running.  .96, not .961?  Thanks, going right now.

What gives with the bad firmware?

Thank you,

Hello,

We need some clarity here.  What is going to happen to our shares? What do we need to do to withdraw them to private AsicMiner shares?

Hello,

Dividends are late again.
With no active follow-up in this thread, this pattern is becoming unsettling.

I hope everything is going to be alright, but with no communication my mind (and I assume the minds of others) wanders to the worst case scenario.

20  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: August 26, 2013, 02:44:45 AM
Hi all,

got a question on an observation.
I use to have a match_work_count = 0 on an ASIC group, now it seems to magically be working some, although much less than the other ASIC groups.  EG:
Code:
   [no_matching_work] => 7739
   [match_work_count1] => 75365
   [match_work_count2] => 75408
   [match_work_count3] => 393
   [match_work_count4] => 75660
In case you didn't guess, count3 was the culprit that I swear was 0, never remember seeing any work for it until lately.

I haven't modded my batch 2 avalon and have had it mostly on --avalon-auto.  Seeing match_work_count3 > 0 gives me some hope.  Anyone have any ideas on this?  Currently on firmware 20130818.

Thank you,

_theJestre
