Apparently support will whitelist your ip. Might not be much consolation if your ip is not static.

Perhaps btc-e is trying to cause a crash by eroding confidence in their ability to service ltc traders. Imagine if Mt Gox was this unreliable. But then again Gox doesn't leave their patrons in the dark.

Third time in 12 hours. thinking about moving my coins and trading elsewhere. It got better after the server upgrade but is now much worse. I think it's a load issue, but if I am being blocked, fine. Other sites will appreciate my business. I've got thousands of $$$ in play here and being shutout is unacceptable.

It seems that maybe their anti-ddos service; cloudfare works by preventing anyone from logging on. This was a prevalent problem 2 weeks ago being shut out randomly for hours at a time. For about a week until last night it seemed to work as expected but now twice in 12 hours I am out of the market until who knows when. Cloudfare may be preventing DDOS attacks but they are also preventing people from legitimately using the site. A trading site cannot function if people can't trade.

I have paper btc wallets, guess I'll figure out the ltc ones. Can Litecoin-Qt be run concurrently with bitcoind or bitcoin-qt without effect? Not meaning to hijack the thread, but it may solve the problem.

I've been using BTC-e as such for several months, however the website is unavailable very frequently; I'm talking hours, daily. So, has anyone found a good offline wallet?

Introducing another coin onto an exchange without providing a way to trade LTC against it is wrong. LTC/BTC price is depressed due to the incredible rise of BTC and NVC takes some of the underlying price supports away from LTC and those holding LTC are screwed while those couple of people with NVC cash in. To fairly introduce another coin the exchange should have allowed it to be traded against the existing currencies that people are already holding not lock them out or only provide the option to trade with their greatly depressed LTC/BTC holdings. Until now BTC-e was an impressive exchange where I always felt fairness was important. Instead I am sitting on the sidelines watching others participate in something I would have to take a large loss in if I too wanted to join in. I use this exchange for the trading of LTC, now I must find another exchange aware of this NVC fiasco where integrity and fairness to loyal customers is important.

I have a list of transactions with addresses spanning 11/06/2011 - 8/20/2012. It is nearly 1000 lines in length therefore I didn't post it here but will email it to whomever is interested or I can paste it here if it won't upset anyone.
let's keep confidential info off line for now until user agree to make it public. You can email it to me at fdajkddcek@gmail.comWe are assembling a data dump and any and all records anyone kept could be relevant. You got it. Hope it helps.

Let's not forget the IRS is an entity that would be very interested in collecting what's owed on income earned, even if they need to take his house, cars, etc.

What I've always wished for is that people treat each other with integrity, honesty and respect; never betraying another's trust. However the world seems more inclined to do the opposite; some I saw in #btcst dismayed that they didn't think of it first. Do you think I'll get my wish?

Giving the information or not results in the same amount of bitcoins refunded to your wallet; 0. Oh yeah bring up the ludicrous news that 23 have been paid. Funny those 23 don't know who they are. Heard something about NDAs and no matter what excuses you want to provide for pirate, attempting to make a comedy out of this tragedy provides the same result; he hasn't given the money back and there are no signs that he ever will.
If the rumors are true he will have achieved national notoriety this coming week in the press and with Texas and Federal law enforcement. If these rumors are true, you can kiss your coins goodbye but take solace in the fact that the one who stole them won't be enjoying them either.

theft - possessing and/or controlling property that belongs to another without their consent and against their wishes
The only thing required of anyone is for the liar and thief who knows a few words from a Jimmy Buffett song to make good on his obligations.
He is a con man who is shifting your attention away from his failure to pay so you will focus on paybtc. Do you really believe he has paid anything to anyone except maybe some chump change? There is no proof.

In order to participate in BTCST I had to use the service of BitcoinMax since there was no way to do it directly with pirate. In my view that makes BitcoinMax (payb.tc) the only contact I need ever have with BTCST. Since pirateat40 is being such a douchebag as far as the smallest iota of detail or clarity on the matter, I am hopeful I will never have to deal with him directly.
payb.tc you know pirateat40 and any other players in this fiasco much better than I and just as I trusted you with my investment, I again trust you to decide what's the best course from here.
If you believe releasing my forum name, bitcoin address, balance, etc. are in the best interest of resolving this, by all means do so; if not, fine too. It's in your hands and up to your judgement.

20:54 <@pirateat40> As much as I've tried to meet the deadlines within the community, there're conditions beyond my control which have escalated the process to the point it is today.
20:54 <@pirateat40> Bitcoin Savings & Trust has hereby given notice of default to it's account holders. 20:56 <@pirateat40> No timeline or further information is available at this time.

I can't say anyone has lost coins, yet. Running such an operation had to be a nightmare, closing it the way it was closed seems to be unwieldy at best, impossible at worst. Sitting out here in the dark twisting in the wind like everyone else, it seems that what may be needed is a coordinated crash of the price and a subsequent buyback which may be the only way for pirateat40 to acquire enough coins to make the payoff. Just a thought, ideas and solutions are always better than vitriolic language and threats.

Reputation and character are the indicators that people should be relying on, not rules and regulations. Until we put a premium on those no tactic will protect us. Shame is a great deterrent to people considering offending others.

Bitcoin should be able to stand on its own. Calling for governmental regulation and/or oversight is the typical knee-jerk reaction for people who feel or have been slighted in their business dealings. We have the talent and ability to overcome these problems before bringing widespread attention to what BTC is instead of what it could be. Government intrusion into any area of our lives always results in a loss of liberty and could make BTC too much trouble to deal with and has never protected anyone from those people of poor character. The entire USA was ripped off by the collusion of the US government and the financial sector. Government is not the answer; we are.

You're kidding right? With hundreds of people doing nothing but hoping for a word from the anointed one that doesn't come while the value of their investments rise and fall out of their control I think not. Furthermore with no evidence that any promised payouts commenced 3 days after freezing our coins, what are we to do but speculate especially since the only word coming from pirate was to tell us that we don't know how hard it is to do the payouts. No pirateat40 has lost all credibility in his ability to deliver whether being in over his head or just a common thief.

I was making an observation only, not assessing blame. Just found it strange that MtGox ( and by extension clarkmoody) is unable to provide data when people want it most. Like Now.
