1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you do with a litecoin? on: August 10, 2012, 10:27:27 PM
Because they act as an alternative to Bitcoins. As the analogy goes, gold is to silver as Bitcoins are to Litecoins. I suspect once ASICs hit the market and GPU Bitcoin mining becomes obsolete, Litecoins might rise in popularity since people with GPU miners will switch to mining Litecoins.

I'm going to watch my bitcent be received and get excited like a giddy school girl, as I do every time, then I'm going to be proud to own just a little bit more bitcoins. I will save and admire them like buried treasure until the day comes when I feel inclined to spend them.

BTW Guys: If there is anything that you want and I don't have on the site, just post it here or email me: support at crypobuy dot com

I'll do my best to get it for a good price and add it to the site.

Is this site aimed at a specific market, such as technology and gadget accessories, or will you eventually expand your category listings? Just curious since you left "anything" to mean pretty much anything.

Great site so far, and some really interesting stuff for sale! Hope to see this grow into a popular online bitcoin store.

You would probably be better off with a 5xxx card around the same price that will yield a better hashrate; the 6770 is a great card but only a decent miner. Check out this chart for some numbers: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison#Single_Card_Setups

A few quotes from Satoshi point to him being a libertarian as well, but I fail to see why it matters here.

Hello good people. My name is Tom, and I've been into bitcoins for a short while now. I first became familiar with them being on Tor, and then started to hear about mining. I have a passion for building computers, so it's a shame that PC rigs are on the way out soon. Would've loved to have been around in the golden GPU days. But ah well, life's timing is a mystery. I'm still going to buy some bitcoins and invest a little into them.

Hope to get to know some of you in coming time.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Payroll = Fail on: July 22, 2012, 11:12:58 PM
The problem is, most corporations will never adopt bitcoins in the foreseeable future. It's easy for small businesses to begin using it for payroll, but big businesses will find much resistance to the move from employees, the public, and the government. Perhaps some kind of option system. But once this begins to interfere with government finance and taxes it will be shut down quickly. Meaning either the government will make it illegal to pay in bitcoins, or the public will be engineered to see bitcoins as another rebellious creation by radicals.

Just maybe, I don't believe a conclusion to the query can be certain.
