I scanned my system also and found no malware, though, I wouldn't put it past them. They have shown themselves to be nothing but thieves in my dealings. They appear to be pretty inept but that may be part of the con. The fact that they won't acknowledge tweets directed at them or deny serious allegations such as this says all you need to know about their professionalism and implies that they are flying by night, whether or not you think they are running an honest ponzi scheme or a dishonest ponzi scheme. I DID receive some odd phishing type emails from the Girl Scouts immediately after they stopped replying to my support emails asking for a refund & account closure. If you have been victimized by zeushash a/k/a/ halleybtc you can file a complaint below. It will take you all of 4 minutes and you can do so without providing personal information https://denebleo.sec.gov/TCRExternal/disclaimer.xhtmlShould they return my lousy 1 btc I will be donating it to a charity that accepts bitcoin. I don't want any coins at the expense of someone else. If they had simply credited me that to begin instead of ignoring emails to support they surely would have ended up with far more in the longrun.

http://www.sec.gov/answers/ponzi.htmHigh investment returns with little or no risk. Every investment carries some degree of risk, and investments yielding higher returns typically involve more risk. Be highly suspicious of any "guaranteed" investment opportunity. Overly consistent returns. Investment values tend to go up and down over time, especially those offering potentially high returns. Be suspect of an investment that continues to generate regular, positive returns regardless of overall market conditions. Unregistered investments. Ponzi schemes typically involve investments that have not been registered with the SEC or with state regulators. Registration is important because it provides investors with access to key information about the company's management, products, services, and finances. Unlicensed sellers. Federal and state securities laws require investment professionals and their firms to be licensed or registered. Most Ponzi schemes involve unlicensed individuals or unregistered firms. Secretive and/or complex strategies. Avoiding investments you do not understand, or for which you cannot get complete information, is a good rule of thumb. Issues with paperwork. Do not accept excuses regarding why you cannot review information about an investment in writing. Also, account statement errors and inconsistencies may be signs that funds are not being invested as promised. Difficulty receiving payments. Be suspicious if you do not receive a payment or have difficulty cashing out your investment. Keep in mind that Ponzi scheme promoters routinely encourage participants to "roll over" investments and sometimes promise returns offering even higher returns on the amount rolled over.

it found a keylogger and some other crap from there site
Can you corroborate that allegation and provide specific details for others who are presumably infected? Don't get me wrong, I think the person(s) running this scheme are beyond despicable and I wouldn't put it past them, but I don't think making allegations helps our cause. The fact that zeushash a/k/a/ halleybtc are scamming people should be reason enough for people to stay clear. The links in your signature do not add credibility to your claim imho. This person(s) behind halleybtc are cearly highly intelligent & motivated; it is a shame they aren't doing something productive with their time. They could easily generate money in an ethical way that genuinely helps their fellow man Fwiw, it seems our next scheme may be called OXbtc https://github.com/AaronTsuiThey posted the above on a public repository so I have no problem sharing that link. I have found this persons employer (current & former) and a lot more information, but won't divulge that here without concrete information that they are responsible for operating this. At the very least, they are certainly responsible for some or all of the programming. Whomever is running this, if you are reading this, you still have the opportunity to honor my cancellation request & refund my btc. If/when you do that, I will stop digging.

Zeushash / halleybtc is paying the guppies to keep the whales coming in. Everyone giving halleybtc praise has but a few satoshis invested in this, hasn't yet had trouble withdrawing, or is in on the scheme. Anyone sharing their affiliate links is involved in their own pyramind scheme. And the people who haven't invested any of their own money but are knowingly promoting this scam are as guilty as the scammers (in my opinion), as you are only earning by stealing from your brothers and sisters, and you are assisting in this theft. As we all know, by design, a ponzi scheme pays out from new money coming in. This works swell (for the thieves, not the people they are stealing from, mind you) so long as you get increasingly larger amounts coming in, or if you slow down the amount going out. It is simple math. This is why they are throttling the amounts going out. Once that formula gets inverted they close up shop & start a new scheme, until they get arrested. Our job is to get vocal and complain to speed up that process & make the next scheme more difficult, as it will be associated with their prior schemes. You would think they would have credited the people who were agitated, like myself, as it would have made them a lot more loot in the longhaul! My btc is gone and I accept that. I am here to prevent you from losing yours. If you have been victimized by zeushash a/k/a/ halleybtc, call the United States Securities & Exchange Commission at +1 (800) 732-0330, or file a report with the United States government at www.ic3.gov@halleybtc_scam

Zeushash had the audacity to send out an email advertising halleybtc to all of their victims. They have the same registrar, the same webhost, others have found conclusive evidence linking them
|
|
|
Filing complaints with their registrar & webhost will not have the same impact as being vocal on message boards. If you have been victimized, speak up; it is the least you can do & it is effective.
No doubt they are working on their next big scheme, because the halleybtc name is tarnished. If anyone catches wind of the name of their next ponzi, please update so we can stay one step behind them until they get shut down for good

HalleyBTC is the brainchild of Terry Li. You might know him from his previous ponz.., ergh, cloud mining operation Zeushash, which coincidentally, has stopped responding to support inquiries and according to many users (including me) is not paying out.
It seems that they didn't like people openly complaining about their operation, so they started with a clean slate. If I have anything to say about it, they will be using their backup-backup domain soon once this reputation becomes soiled.
Halleybtc is a scam.
They are not paying out, they are not allowing withdrawls, they do not respond to support tickets to alleviate concerns about the missing payouts & inability to withdrawl. Why would anyone on earth invest in their new venture?

Be advised that in light of recent news that Zeushash has stopped paying out or allowing withdrawls without explanation, they have now changed names to HalleyBtc.
Changing a name doesn't get the old ponzi scheme smell off, though. A ponzi scheme by any other name is still a ponzi scheme.
DO NOT INVEST IN HALLEYBTC / ZEUSHASH unless you want your btc to be seized, and your personally information to be possibly mined.
If you have been victimized by zeushash / halleybtc, and they are refusing to cancel your account or honor your withdrawls, get active and speak up. Don't let others suffer the same fate.

Be advised that zeushash a/k/a/ zeusminer, has now changed its name to halleybtc after many users have reported inability to withdrawl. I deposited a test amount a couple of days before they started having "technical problems". Below is the nonsesical reply I got Hello,
These days the system occurred some errors. I am so sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our operators are speeding up processing. We will make up for your loss of profits as soon as possible. Don't worry about it. That reply was not comforting, and considering I had not done any due diligence prior to "investing", I politely requested a full refund, as I had just created the account and had not accrued any btc. I believed this to be a reasonable request. That is when the emails went cold. I waited a few days, and again asked for a full refund. More silence. Now I am not able to withdrawl my "interest", I am not able to cancel my account, and I am not able to contact support. I am leary of logging into this website as this company has not shown they are trustworthy so I have to assume that btc is gone entirely. I can't prove beyond for a fact that this is a ponzi, but it sure is walking like one & talking like one. At best they are an inept mining operating. At worst, they are mining personal information. You & I can aquire more btc, but halleybtc can not buy integrity.
I know, a fool and his money, I should not have invested here to begin with. After this rebranding to halleybtc.com, and refusal to cancel my account I don't even care about the btc. I am on a personal crusade to prevent as many other people from falling victims as possible to the halley btc a/k/a/ zeushash scam Please do not invest in halleybtc, not even as an experiment. I am not certain, but they appear to be hosted at qq.com. There web registrar seems to be godaddy. They also utilize cloudflare and other web based services. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get someone to listen? Ic3.gov? abuse@godaddy.com? abuse@qq.com? Thoughts?
