Poor kid. From the pictures she seems like such a happy-go-lucky girl who doesn't let her illness get her down. A real inspiration! I'll get a postcard sent off to Oliwia tomorrow for her birthday on the 27th!

I would buy 4 of the cards with the BTC design, and can make a BTC deposit commitment for them if you wish.

I've forwarded the link to this thread on to a trustworthy trader that I do business with on a regular basis; hopefully they'll be interested in buying from you! Can you give any info re: dates that you're looking to trade or are you in Dublin at the moment?

Received my 2 miners today! The delay was absolutely no fault of the seller, he sent them Express right after I ordered and there just seemed to be an unusual delay with the shipping on both the Spanish and Irish sides. I greatly appreciate the prompt responses to my emails, BitAddict. I've added to your trust, and I certainly won't hesitate to purchase from you again in future.

No sign of my two after 11 days - I've emailed BitAddict to see if he can chase it up with the shipper as it didn't leave Spain 'til 6 days after it was put into the postal system. It's not showing on my country's postal tracking system either, so hopefully BitAddict can track it down and see what's going on.

I'm still on for the meeting. 4pm Saturday at the Bull & Castle, Lord Edward St. Seems there'll be 8 or 9 of us. See ye there. Remember - bring a PGP key for signing if you like and maybe a couple of paper wallets with a bitcent preloaded (~€1), for tips.
Excellent, I look forward to it! As far as tipping and paper wallets go, most folks nowadays have a smartphone that they'd be able to download a Bitcoin wallet app onto. Maybe as well as the paper wallets themselves we should bring some small 'flash-card' style instructions on how to redeem the paper wallets (we have the blockchain.info app on both iOS and Android, for example) and a QR-code link to BitMit (or any Bitcoin store/site) that the staff can just scan and immediately go somewhere they can spend their BTC and have a real, tangible product delivered to them. There are a lot of people out there that are completely unfamiliar with digital currency and wouldn't necessarily understand the distinction between an actual digital currency such as Bitcoin (which can be used to buy any real tangible product) and a virtual gaming currency such as Second Life Linden Dollars (which can only be used to buy a virtual product). If they have a simple way of obtaining a good or a service for their 'digital funny money' they'd be more likely to see that it serves as an actual method of payment for real world products. Judging from my own thoughts on it, if I had received a paper wallet a couple of years back loaded with a digital currency - having absolutely no idea about it's value or potential - I most likely would have just thrown it out with the used receipts and rubbish.

Today I got the price quotes straight from the manufacturer.
16GB USB drives are $16/piece. I will post more info when I have some sample pictures. I think that's a pretty good price with an order of only 25 pieces.
(credit card shaped USB drives 0.30btc/piece in the other thread and people pre-ordering, wtf. I can get those too and the price is also about $16/piece.)
Received my two 8GB keys today, they look great! Sturdy construction as well, thanks MXRider! That's an excellent price for the 16GB size; regarding the style, I personally consider the key shape to be superior. Credit card style USB drives are simply too cumbersome for what they are. There is more space to write a message on them and they're handy to keep in a wallet but the key style is the same width as the credit cards would be, just with a smaller overall size and the handy option of being able to stick them on a keyring. As far as the message on them goes, perhaps instead of "You asked for change, we gave you coins" or " BTC future money", something along the lines of " BTCitcoin: The future of money!" would be good? I think that would hammer home the idea that Bitcoin - or a future embodiment of it - IS the future of money, and the fiat in our pockets has a very limited lifespan ahead of it. Have you managed to price up 32GB versions? Would be very interested in those, and I look forward to seeing the sample pictures of the 16GB!

Payment sent; I look forward to adding these to my keyring!

I'll take two of the 8GB's off your hands for this price. PM me with payment instructions etc.

Warranty has been adjusted to 6 months. This is only a nice idea. I'm not planning to sell these forever.
Many people have been asking for a 16GB version instead of 8GB. I don't have them yet but I'm already tweaking the design so I should have them in two weeks. I might post two sample pictures and potential buyers can comment which one they prefer.
I'll have my BTC at the ready. Seeing samples would be great!

I would be interested in buying a few of these for myself / as gifts but at 8GB I think they're simply too small. It would be great to be able to carry the bitcoin-qt client around on these with a fully updated blockchain and a small amount of BTC on them to hand out to friends and customers, giving full portability to the client and also encouraging new users to use Bitcoin and be able to utilise the main client from the get-go rather than waiting a number of days to catch up with the blockchain / having to download a client such as Multi-bit and go through the initial process of buying Bitcoin. These would be good to go right off the bat, and perfect for increasing usage of the bitcoin-qt client. However, at 8GB and formatted as NTFS, they are already too small for the blockchain - 16GB would be ideal. If you ever decide to offer a larger size, I'll be the first to snap a few of them up! Great idea all the same, and I do like the design!
