1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: February 10, 2014, 07:29:06 AM
So posts keep getting deleted, that's great. You promised miners shipping in two weeks, then a week ago you tell all your customers that you decided your machines would be using too much power so you just went ahead with plans to make a more advanced machine months from now. How long have you known that this was the case? Obviously you didn't have anything close to ready a month ago, or two months ago. Now you are being shady with refunds, both here and on your own forums. When are you going to offer full refunds to customers you defrauded?

I found this odd too, I recall seeing 120 pages of this thread. Somehow it is now 114 pages, those 6 pages could have contained important information necessary for customer refunding (assuming they are even considering such a request). I submitted my ticket to Black Arrow's main site 2 days ago and haven't heard back on my request for a refund.

So we'd receive them in the middle of May essentially?

No, with this delay at least minersource will be hiring additional people, we expect to get both batch 1 and 2 out the door within 2 weeks.

Also:

For further compensation from minersource, all 2nd day air packages will be upgraded to next day saver, all next day customers will get their shipping refunded. We may also be including a special gift Smiley

Within 2 weeks from today (2/6/2014)?

How exactly is this going to work, I haven't heard of BAS official confirmation that the assembly of the goods would be done and shipped within 2 weeks.

double my hashing power or refund my money. this is not acceptable. we need to let them know this.

Doubling 2 TH/s probably might not cut it with the other TH/s ASIC around for 2+ months.
5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: January 30, 2014, 03:53:44 AM
Very disappointed. I sort of knew it but wanted to give them the benefit of doubt.... Batch1 will coincide with the delivery of the Batch2.... blarrrr

Everyone over-promise but under delivers.

-------------------------------------------
We have to inform you that our schedule to manufacture and assemble the system has been disrupted and we are unable to make delivery of the Batch 1 Minion ASIC chip on the initial scheduled date (end of February). We are now expecting to dispatch all Batch 1 orders on 1st of May 2014.

Please be re-assured we are confident that we have tried our best to accomplish our initial ambitious targets. However, we came to the conclusion that it is in the best interest of our customers to delay shipping in order to ensure that the product provides the best-possible user experience.

Without this delay we would have achieved 1.5W/Ghash which would have meant that our chip would not have been competitive at all.

We have now finalized the design process using our newly improved code and will start manufacturing the chip (tape out) in the next few days.

We are happy to announce that Black Arrow Software’s products remain on target for being the best in their class for power consumption. We confirm that our latest improved design has the following technical specifications:

·0.75w/Ghash on TT corner @ 25C which is expected to run at 120Ghash/sec.

·SS corner will be 0.6w/ghash and will run at 100Ghash.

·A further underclocking and underpower should be possible and should yield 80Ghash @ 0.5W/ghash. However, please note that this is not guaranteed to work stable.

Please note, that a further push for improvement in the optimization process would have guaranteed further delays for at least 1-2 months.

It is no secret to us that the Bitcoin mining process is proving to be more and more difficult every day. To compensate our loyal customer for the unforeseen delay of in delivering our miners for batch 1, we are happy to offer free extra hashing power which consists of 25% of your purchased hashing power from our Rent-Some-Minions cloud program for 4 months.

The account for the tape-out has been settled in full and we are confident that the delivery will be completed shortly.

We are taking all the necessary measures and positive actions to expedite delivery to you as soon possible and we are confident that we have the resources to be successful.

Please note:

·We estimate that the delivery for the Batch1 will coincide with the delivery of the Batch2

·The delivery of Batch2 remains unchanged

·The one-off offer presented above is open to the customers who placed orders for Batch1

Sincerely,
The Black Arrow Software Team

I have updated the list to all posts I've found on this thread. If you wish to clarify anything that wasn't mentioned earlier in your own post of your order, please specifically note that in another post.

Is the OP planning on updating his list?

Yep, I am slowing adding new posts to the list. This list has been updated to around 12/16/2013.

If batch 1 is still open I may order another 4-5 today or tomorrow for shits and giggles.

Batch 1 refers to blackarrowsoftware.com, not minersource.net.

How exactly do we recover our password with our emails? I haven't found any links or anything, so is it still possible to recover it?

Is https://minersource.net a reseller for Black Arrow?
First time seeing that site.

I thought bobsag3 is responsible for that site.

Bought a x3 early Dec before the price hike. Wait 3 days for the payment address, nothing happen. Open a  ticket and got reply immediately with BTC address. Transfer the BTC, took another 3 days and a ticket before my order status changed to "Processed".

Moral of the story? Open a ticket Cheesy

have opened tickets twice and no replies, maybe have to open yet another.
Again, no wonder they have so many tickets and can't keep up.
I suppose have to open a ticket a day to keep on top of the list for them to notice  Huh

BTW, I can't see what's the difficulty in hiring support.  Again this is BS from BAS.

What is your order number? From the order list thread (here), the 27xxth order was paid 2 days ago; perhaps the difference will show you how long your order might be processed.

Payment Date: 26/09/2013
Payment Type: Bitcoin

By the way: Does anybody have a manual or something for the Prospero X-1 ? I have no clue how to run this machine.

If you read the other thread (here), the BA ASIC miner is still being developed. There does not exist a known prototype for the X-1, X-3, or Minion yet.

They look like a nice bunch of guys to me from the website and pics...

I appreciate everyone in the bitcoin community has either been burned or seen people get burned, but there is no reason to be automatically hostile. As far as I can see these seem like friendly people and have offered anyone in the area the chance to pop by. Someone take them up on it and pop down.

I went to visit their office today at 4:30PM, I couldn't get into the building. It looked like it was closed, I called the office numbers to see if anyone could let me in. They had a sign saying office hours were 9AM to 6PM, but no days were listed.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow - Status of pending orders - Prospero X-1, X-3, and Minion on: December 05, 2013, 10:02:39 AM
That's what I am looking for. I was unable to find it. Is this just for the BA site or is this an option at the USA reseller too?

I haven't read much about this, you should try asking blackarrow or bobsag3 directly.
18  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow - Status of pending orders - Prospero X-1, X-3, and Minion on: December 05, 2013, 09:12:29 AM
Where are the details of paying 50% down? I didn't see that.

What details are you talking about? Paying 50% can be found under special info unless we're talking about something else.

Website seems to be back up and working now.

Yes, the website is back up and working. However, I was mining on the stratum pool while the website was down. I haven't seen any LTC for the shares I submitted yesterday (12/3/2013), is this normal?

Use Bitcoins I dont see why you would ever use a bank wire. Anyway, I just paid for my X3, direct from BA. Fingers crossed.

Im gambling here but as long as we get these before May 1st, I think its probably worth the risk, depends on how much $6k is to you though.

Im guessing the first batch will be sold out this or next week, and hopefully that presses the "go" switch on the 28nm tapeout.

cause they use btc-e to calculate the price off btc. i sold off 2 btc to pay for the 10 i ordered. if i had payed with btc directly it would have cost me 3.49btc...

It would be nice to have more orders shown on this thread to publicize the status of our orders.
