All ASIC's have been late (2 weeks-3 months),not as much as BFL was late (6-8 months minimum) at least  Cheesy   So I'm ready for a week to month delay. Not saying that I'd be happy, but will muddle through it  Roll Eyes

Looking forward to an update though  Cool

Don't be so sure.  Smiley
I got my BitFury August  kit on 5th of September due to labor day weekend delay in shipping.
The 25Gh kit has been hashing ever since at 47Gh/s  and paid for 2 X3's.  Smiley

Very disappointed. I sort of knew it but wanted to give them the benefit of doubt.... Batch1 will coincide with the delivery of the Batch2.... blarrrr

Everyone over-promise but under delivers.

-------------------------------------------
We have to inform you that our schedule to manufacture and assemble the system has been disrupted and we are unable to make delivery of the Batch 1 Minion ASIC chip on the initial scheduled date (end of February). We are now expecting to dispatch all Batch 1 orders on 1st of May 2014.

Please be re-assured we are confident that we have tried our best to accomplish our initial ambitious targets. However, we came to the conclusion that it is in the best interest of our customers to delay shipping in order to ensure that the product provides the best-possible user experience.

Without this delay we would have achieved 1.5W/Ghash which would have meant that our chip would not have been competitive at all.

We have now finalized the design process using our newly improved code and will start manufacturing the chip (tape out) in the next few days.

We are happy to announce that Black Arrow Software’s products remain on target for being the best in their class for power consumption. We confirm that our latest improved design has the following technical specifications:

·0.75w/Ghash on TT corner @ 25C which is expected to run at 120Ghash/sec.

·SS corner will be 0.6w/ghash and will run at 100Ghash.

·A further underclocking and underpower should be possible and should yield 80Ghash @ 0.5W/ghash. However, please note that this is not guaranteed to work stable.

Please note, that a further push for improvement in the optimization process would have guaranteed further delays for at least 1-2 months.

It is no secret to us that the Bitcoin mining process is proving to be more and more difficult every day. To compensate our loyal customer for the unforeseen delay of in delivering our miners for batch 1, we are happy to offer free extra hashing power which consists of 25% of your purchased hashing power from our Rent-Some-Minions cloud program for 4 months.

The account for the tape-out has been settled in full and we are confident that the delivery will be completed shortly.

We are taking all the necessary measures and positive actions to expedite delivery to you as soon possible and we are confident that we have the resources to be successful.

Please note:

·We estimate that the delivery for the Batch1 will coincide with the delivery of the Batch2

·The delivery of Batch2 remains unchanged

·The one-off offer presented above is open to the customers who placed orders for Batch1

Sincerely,
The Black Arrow Software Team

That 25% bonus will not make up for 2 months delay, difficulty will make these machines worthless.

Where is this coming from? I don't see anything posted on their forums or their website. Not that I don't believe you - I'm not the least bit surprised - but what's the source?

Email was sent to people that ordered direct from their site.

What a joke... that 25% of extra mining power compensates fairly for a 2 week delay not 2 months. Especially with Cointerra/HF/Bitmine shipping now or soon. We all knew they wouldn't make it for end of Feb, but this is ridiculous. And Matt... "absolutely", "we're on track".... really!? What a bunch of underachievers and liars you guys turned out to be.

Coming clean is a positive start.  To rebuild their reputations they really should consider appropriate compensation with either extra hash power, reducing initial charges via refunds or combo of both. They should do this having regard to projected difficulty increases, IMHO.

My bad  Embarrassed  ASICminer had no delays...I think too.So,2 out of 6 or 8 companies on time,oh well, like I said the delays weren't too bad compared to BFL at least  Cheesy

Now BA delays till May Huh  Damn,I'll still keep my order for 4-100GH'ers+ the 25% free hosted GH,gotta find someone with cheap, low power miners.........Bitmain,here I come  Grin

Not too keen on MBP,too pricey still & can be a pain with setup.

Good luck all !!! We're gonna need it  Cry

I sense the only tower that could stand beside knc collapsing... all the trust and fans they've got.... given the humongous orders sitting in their backlog... Let us see how many people would perservere till may.

I wondered how bobsag feel but I am now feeling great that my distributor application wasn't approve.

Another heart breaking moment in the history of asic chase. Blackarrow just lost my vote, sad, sad, sad...

25% doesn't amount to a pinch of coon shit when you've lost 2 months of mining. Difficulty will be 6-8 billion by then, and you only get 4 months worth. 50% more hashrate for 4 months maybe...

There's something seriously wrong when blackarrow is online and checking the forums, but hasn't provided any updates in nearly two months.

Last post: December 09, 2013
Last active: Today

I'll remind everyone of this post on Feb 25 (or sooner if they announce their delays) when BA is officially late.

Wow, I didn't think I'd be so right, so soon.

I hope they beat the Neptunes to shipping.  At least now I don't have to check their website every ten minutes.  I really hope they consider more compensation.
Could someone explain to me the tech-speak?
What is 120 ghs at the TT, and 100 at the ss corner?  Does that mean 220 x 4 chips=880 ghs?

Doubling 2 TH/s probably might not cut it with the other TH/s ASIC around for 2+ months.

I suggest that BA drop their chips and do a deal with FC at AM ASAP.  At the end of the day, all we want is hashpower to generate BTCs.  Even if BA manages to get these chips out, they will be noncompetitive from day one versus AM chips at 0.35 watts/ghs at normal voltage, expected delivery late March.

And WHY did they wait until NOW to tell us that they will be late when they knew that they would be late early January?

Because they had to draw in enough preorders to be able to pay for the chip manufacturing. Note they now say it is all paid for. Guess it wasn't until now. Good luck getting a lot of refunds out of them, they have probably spent most of their free capital at this point. Expect a lot of foot dragging.

Agree.  BA should halt chip production asap.  The world doesn't need anymore inefficient chips.  Redirect funds to compo people plus invest in FCs chips at AM.
