If you have the physical gift card, look for people on LocalBitcoins in your area and offer to meet them at a gas station and buy them gas with it in exchange for BTC.
I do have the physical giftcard but I live in a small town with not many Shell Gas Stations so that wouldnt be reasonable |

AFAIK, if you use a credit card to buy the gifts and then chargeback on it, the account with the gift will lose it and will also become suspended. The same goes for Steam credit. That's why people aren't likely to trust a newbie selling a reversible item.
