Hi! I have a problem with ppcoin. Quantities seems to require a 100 multiplication to be right. For example, a transaction that ABE stores as 0.100 should be 0.100*100= 10 PPC
With bitcoin, litecoin and testnet ABE works very well
PS: I'm using the ppcoin branch merged to the master from git
How did you get past this ?
Chain not found for magic number e6e8e9e5 in block file /home/dirrk/.ppcoin/blk0001.dat at offset 0.[/u][/u]Nevermind I was able to fix the issue. I was not using the peercoin branch. Now my issue is that the address are in the wrong format. I changed the config to reference the 0x0037 type but it still displays incorrectly. I am rebuilding the database now in hopes that it will fix it. |

It can be done, and it's not easy. I don't think you need to worry about it for the next 10 years at least.
I lay awake at night, worrying that by the next day, Bitcoin prices will have gone beyond 10^8 USD and the divisibility limit will be a problem.  Counting down the days. |

Pretty good "gamble" people seen the doubling got greedy started putting more coins up so where the OP just had to stop for a few hours n have more than he started with. Well played.

Recently my VPN provider asked me to upload my scanned ID, showing my picture, full name etc.
They claimed it is for "fraud" prevention, which makes sense from their perspective, but not from mine.
When I'm connected to my VPN I expect some privacy, isn't it (one of the things) a VPN is for?
Besides that, they already have my credit card number, full name and address on their records. Should I dare to misuse their service, my bank would identify me in a second and they could be in my door within minutes.
But they still feel it's Ok to ask their customers for even more data, I didn't like it at all.
What if they're (secretly) recording all websites and data transmitted via their VPN and now they'll be pinning it my ID on their systems. Not that I have anything that secret, but it shouldn't matter, I want to keep my private stuff private.
I have written back to them complaining about this policy, but haven't heard from them yet. I might be better off just leaving them.
So please if you know of VPN providers with more respect for it's customers privacy, please share them here!
Would be great to find one with:
- Fast speeds
- Written promise of not logging customer's traffic
- Private payment methods such as Bitcoin
- Servers in many countries

I stopped doing the 2x play and started doing the 1.338 on BTC Dice today and instead of doubling you just quadruple. Start with .025 bets or .1 depending on how brave you are. I played it for an hour and won 2 bitcoins using .1,.4,1.6,6.4,26.6 @26.6 you would have lost 5 times and the odds of that happening are 1:841. In the end I did play again and lost .5 bitcoins because I didn't want to wager a bunch but I feel like the risk is less mine.

The only people profiting from bitcoin are hackers. Fuck this shit.
I haven't lost anything yet from bitcoin but it does seem like hackers are just having a field day with it. As much as everyone hates Mt.Gox because of the cost to put money on there and the loss of anonymity, it seems like they have the best methods on there. I feel like bit floor should have known better than to have all of their coins in a hot wallet after btc-e and other hacks. |

I feel like this was the best accidental scam and here is why. If you use the bet quoted above about the "Mt.Gox high price of the day", the person who bet for it to go above $12 can always just place all the bets and then at 10pm PST place a buy order for $12 and win even if the average price was $5. In the future you guys should use the weighted price.
tl;dr I am willing to bet at least 50BTC in escrow that Mt. Gox high price of the day will hit $15 within 9 hours!
LOL. Try that. I'm willing to take that bet. If only pushing the market was that easy. So it won't allow you to overpay? Well I didn't know that. Still new :-) |

If you use the bet quoted above about the "Mt.Gox high price of the day", the person who bet for it to go above $12 can always just place all the bets and then at 10pm PST place a buy order for $12 and win even if the average price was $5. In the future you guys should use the weighted price.
