1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bitcoins still excite you? on: November 26, 2014, 04:33:21 AM
Nope.

Me neither. I was heavily into BTC before I made the mistake of ordering miners from BFL and got caught up in that whole mess (btw, EAT SHIT AND DIE BFL, YOU DISGUSTING PIECE OF SHIT EATING DIRTY MOTHER FUCKING SCUMBAG DOUBLE CROSSING A-HOLE DOUCHE BAG WHORES, but then again, I digress. I apologize, momentary tourettes. *Ahem*). Since then, I sold all my BTCs and pretty much cashed out right before they tanked...haven't looked back since TBH. I've been keeping an eye on the sidelines every once and awhile (like now) just to keep up but I don't think I'll ever jump back in again. My confidence in the whole thing is shot just because I just can't help this nagging gut feeling that BTC has been bought out and corrupted somehow. I know, I know..."not possible"...but c'mon. Everything BTC stood for no longer applies. Decentralized? Anonymous? LOL! Not since ASICs, corporate mining farms and the fed pretty much killed the concept AND the fact that folks like you and me can't compete anymore. Disillusioned and bitter much? Hell fuckin' yeah. Bottom line? I still believe in the CONCEPT but looking for the nex gen. Until then I'm sitting this one out and stacking silver (DISCLAIMER: Opinions are like assholes and mine stink just like the rest of them).

You may want to rethink this. Look what happened to casascius coins. Pure bullshit, but do you have the money to hire attorneys and argue with the government? Good luck. I hope you win!

3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the recommended websites to sell BTC for USD other than Mt Gox? on: June 29, 2013, 01:18:24 AM
I took everything out of Mtgox and went with Campbx per recommendations made here in the forum.  VERY happy with their service.  Quick cash withdrawals through Dwolla too.  Mine was processed in less than 5 minutes, UNLIKE Mtgox who takes weeks IF you're lucky.  I like their live graphs for market data as well.  Check it out  Smiley

Oh FFS...get a grip Finn.  EVERYONE has had a shitty life.  Get over it.  Do your best.  Move on.  Putting it all out there on the net FOREVER is probably the dumbest thing anybody could do.  If you really need to get shit off your chest, write it down on paper, by hand, and then BURN IT.  Pretty much like I want to do to this stupid post.
7  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS - Oct 5, 2012 PreOrder for a Little Single, 30 GH/s on: April 25, 2013, 10:43:00 PM
Just a heads up everyone - I just got off the phone with eBay customer service asking why they've pulled my ad for the second time and they've informed me that they are no longer allowing ads for preordered "bitcoin mining equipment". While preorders are acceptable to list and sell, they will not allow "preorders on this kind of equipment." These units must be in hand before they will allow them to be sold.

You're going to love this part even more - they have assigned a group of people to actively search and cancel all the ads they can find and they will be checking for them daily.

Soooo....in light of THAT, I'm moving the auction here and asking for best offer.

Thank you for looking,

Susan
8  Economy / Computer hardware / WTS - Oct 5, 2012 PreOrder for a Little Single, 30 GH/s on: April 25, 2013, 01:18:41 AM
PreOrder 10297

If anyone is interested, I've put it up on eBay and you can find it here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290904599109

This is the second time I've put it up actually.  Ebay canceled my first auction because I stated I would accept bitcoins or Dwolla as a form of payment in the ad.  I relisted the item and left that out this time in conformance with their terms and conditions.

I realize that people are nervous about paying for something and trusting the seller to send the item.  I will absolutely do that and can provide whatever information the buyer needs to feel comfortable his purchase will be sent as soon as I receive it. If you have a question, either post here or send a PM.

Thanks for looking Smiley
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone Cancelled a BFL Order? on: April 22, 2013, 02:48:43 AM
I canceled my order several months ago and received a refund in the form of a check within a week, but I paid cash by wire transfer. CS answered my email fairly quickly and the process overall was fairly painless.  Hope that helps.

EDIT:  If you paid through Paypal, you'll need to follow their refund policy which is either 30 or 45 days. If you're past that, then you'll need to go through your credit card company. HOWEVER, you might want to contact BFL first and see if they'll refund your credit card directly. Not knowing the details of your order, this is the best advice I can offer.
10  Economy / Marketplace / Re: ["WAIT LIST"] BFL SC Pre-Order Information on: March 27, 2013, 04:18:03 PM
Update: Cancelled my Aug 1st order of 3 SCs at the end of January.  Refund received.

Now THAT'S funny!  I totally heard the old Batman theme song in my head when I read that.

(ps...I love this thread...so interesting!)
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I sell bitcoins for PAYPAL on: October 13, 2012, 03:21:10 PM
There are many, many threads explaining in great detail why taking Paypal for bitcoin is not a very good idea and there is no need for me to repeat it all here.  Do your homework, spend some time reading the forum and learn from those that have gone before you....if you're smart that is.  Or, you can learn the hard way...it's up to you.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will draw anything for Bitcoins! on: October 13, 2012, 03:32:37 AM
Would you draw me a picture to use as my avatar SBD?  Something like your very first magical space bunny drawing  Cheesy

Decide what your hourly rate in bitcoin is, how long it takes you to draw something up and then PM me.  Thanks!
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: What does your username mean? on: October 13, 2012, 03:14:24 AM
What does my username mean....hmmmm.....it means I have absolutely NOOOO imagination  Sad

Sure, you do. You had the imagination to impersonate a woman on the bitcoin forum. Let me guess. Next, you'll tell us all how you're NOT a libertarian and DON'T like Battlestar Galactica. Wink

Actually, I'm more of a Star Trek and Star Wars fan  Cheesy

As far as the rest, think what you like.  I don't care that you're pretending to be a man OR that you like Battlestar Galactica.  I'm here to learn about bitcoins  Wink

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction stuck. What to do? [YAY SUCCESS!!] on: October 08, 2012, 10:59:02 PM
Yes, always pay transaction fees. I'm slowly but surely figuring this all out. Thanks for the reminder Stephen. You probably saved another noob like me from learning the hard way.  Smiley
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction stuck. What to do? [YAY SUCCESS!!] on: October 08, 2012, 10:36:25 PM
I've got my fingers crossed for you guys. I really hope that all works out for everyone, I really do. I didn't invest because I don't have the extra cash or I would have. I should have picked brokegirl instead of bitgirl as my name, lol, but I like to think positive I guess  Smiley

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction stuck. What to do? on: October 08, 2012, 10:15:45 PM
That happened to me yesterday too. It took almost 3 hours for the first confirmation and about that much more time to get all 6. I kept checking and rechecking the address I sent it to convinced I had pasted it in wrong or something. And yes, I freaked out a little too, lol.  In the end, everything went through fine. I know its hard, but just wait. Do something in the meantime to keep your mind off worrying. Hang in there McLovin  Smiley
