1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget the past and move ahead on: October 05, 2018, 08:54:14 PM
Everything in life has past, present and future. Some of those who invested into some coins while their prices were higher, should try as much as possible not to dwell much on it, because if we continue to bother ourselves about the past loss, we will not be able to see the opportunities ahead.
The crypto space is full of opportunities, learn to find those alternative opportunities of earning tokens and explore.
That which you think might be a loss at this time, can give you huge profit later on in future.

I think that those who dared to buy bitcoins at $20k will not find enough comfort in your words, because we must always keep in mind that during the last years bitcoin became for many a highly speculative investment instrument and many took the risk in late 2017 motivated more by the desire for wealth easily and quickly than by a true interest in technology.

Therefore, after a year of the great speculative bubble, the great majority had to be forced to learn the lesson and undoubtedly today they are dedicated to other things. Actually I think many still hold their coins in the hope of a gradual recovery, but I think the vast majority discovered for quite some time that life goes on and does not stop for the pain of a great financial loss.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in ETH ? on: October 05, 2018, 08:16:36 PM
Taking into account that we are not going through the best moments of the crypto market, I think that there is still enough trust in the Ethereum project, maybe not because it is really the best of all altcoins existing today, but because, at least, it has been able to remain throughout its history as one of the most popular and globally recognized cryptocurrencies, and we know that this is very relevant for investors.

In addition, I think that after such a brutal fall, where it came to lose about 85% of its maximum price, little space remains for the fall to persist for a long time, which is why the conditions seem to be given at a time when the Bearish market seems to be over, to see in a short time a gradual recovery in the price of ethereum.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many think crypto is dead. It is not. on: October 03, 2018, 09:25:27 PM
The simple fact that speculators are not interested in investing in the market these days does not mean that cryptos are dead, because this technology is much more than a simple speculative investment scheme.

Those who value a cryptocurrency in terms of its marketcap are short-sighted, because they are only looking at their petty interests before all the benefits that this nascent technology can offer to humanity.

Therefore, those of us involved in the development of this technology should make clear our support for this innovation through its use in our daily lives, and not only as instruments of speculation to hold in the long term.

6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the usual mistakes that newbie traders usually do? on: October 02, 2018, 09:14:31 PM
As a new kid in the cryptocurrency world, we often have our share of first mistakes in trading which helps us to be able to become better and wiser in the next transactions. What are these usual or common mistakes that newbies commit?

Due to their inexperience and the false expectations with which newbies tend to start this business, there are endless bad practices that often lead them to suffer large losses again and again in a fast and repetitive way, and according to what I have observed in the years that I have been involved in this business, some of the errors are the following:

1) Lack of an adequate trading plan that involves money and risk management.
2) Lack of discipline, patience and emotional control.
3) Ignorance of technical aspects such as stop loss-take profit levels, risk-reward ratio, technical analysis tools, etc.
4) And above all, the search for unrealistic goals and excessive greed.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Worst Exchange Experiences on: October 02, 2018, 07:56:39 PM
Some of the bad experiences I have suffered are the following:

- In Etherdelta, in December of last year someone managed to do a massive hack on the web and managed to obtain the private keys of those who wanted to enter over several hours, taking large numbers of ethers.

-In Poloniex, in June of this year they froze my account without warning, and they do not allow me to make any movement until going through an arduous process of verification that does not allow me to start despite my efforts to do it correctly.

-And recently in Cryptopia, where I suffered a hacking attempt and despite blocking my account to prevent it from being looted, mysteriously and without explanation the Cryptopia team granted access to the hacker minutes after I blocked my funds.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin? on: October 01, 2018, 11:31:24 PM
There are many cryptocurrencies out there, the fluctuation is wide and big. There’s a need of a coin that uses a process to stabilize its value.

No doubt that there is no other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin. At least not for the next 5-10 years. Of course there are many rising competitors like Ethereum, ripple and litecoin.

Do you agree???

I think you should avoid that overconfidence. There are no compelling reasons to think that bitcoin can hold up as the most important cryptocurrency in ten years, when crypto technology has reached such advanced levels that it will make all the cryptocurrencies that exist today seem obsolete, and the level of use and the adoption of cryptos make the use of bitcoin excessively expensive due to its scalability problems.

One thing I am sure of: bitcoin will continue to be very popular in ten years and it may still be an important store of value, but due to technical specifications it is likely that the cryptocurrency used for daily commercial exchange will be another, and perhaps this has not been invented to this day.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Power Of Hold ! on: September 30, 2018, 11:47:55 PM
Which Undervalued Altcoin Token are Best to invest with it ?? I plan to hodl it from about 2 Years .. need some advices and Opinions .. Thank you .

Two years are a true eternity in the crypto space. With just a brief review of the cryptocurrencies that two years ago seemed to be very promising, we will realize that many of them no longer exist and, on the contrary, other cryptos that did not exist then, have come to occupy a place of undeniable leadership.

Therefore I think it is questionable to try to forecast the best options available today to hold for two years, because the most likely is the following:

a) Great new cryptocurrencies that look promising today, will fall into oblivion.

b) Interesting cryptocurrencies will arise in coming days that will come to revolutionize the market, and of which we now have no reference to their future success.

c) And undoubtedly, within two years reliable cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ethereum will continue to exercise undeniable leadership and popularity in the market.
10  Local / Esquina Libre / Re: CONCURSO SEMANAL DE MERITO 24 AL 30 DE SEPTIEMBRE on: September 30, 2018, 11:38:06 PM

12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I bought bitcoin at $20k last year on: September 29, 2018, 07:02:19 PM
I have no doubt that the decisions you have made with your bitcoins have been based solely and exclusively on emotional impulses rather than on an adequate analysis of the pros and cons, risk-reward ratio and other more financial analyzes.

Unfortunately, the laws of money seem to be efficient in rewarding those who show enough intelligence to administer it, and punishing those who do not take care of it and administer it properly.

Therefore, I hope that this bad experience will leave you some teaching about it, and rest assured that if you try hard you will always find new opportunities to recover your lost money, and even multiply it.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best coin to invest for x10 profit on: September 29, 2018, 06:25:01 PM
Hello!
I am new in the crypto world and I look for something to invest in and make a good profit around x10 for beginning. I think that it is better to look for x10 profit than something like x100. Can you tell me if you believe something will see the x10 rise in price soon? Greetings!

I believe that nobody can guarantee in this market that a certain currency can offer you a profitability of such magnitude in a very short term. Anyone who offers or promises something similar is just promoting that altcoin usually for one of these reasons:

- He has already invested a lot of money there and wants someone else to invest to help increase the price.

- He is involved in some business system in which he receives a commission to promote that cryptocurrency.

So do not get carried away by those tips, follow your common sense and invest in reliable and prestigious currencies such as bitcoin, ethereum or litecoin.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long Crypto market will take to recover? on: September 27, 2018, 09:24:21 PM
I believe that the eventual recovery of the market will occur in a differentiated way for each currency, because I have no doubt that the current crisis will serve to purge the market of endless scams, unviable projects and useless altcoins to make room for serious projects and coins sustainable in the long term.

Therefore, I believe that all those who chose to invest in a wide portfolio of cryptocurrencies and ICOs will never be able to recover their investment 100%, since I see countless altcoins that have lost more than 95% of their previous value and it would be foolish to think that will gradually recover their value.

But regarding bitcoin, I have no doubt that in the medium term it will continue to grow and possibly in 2019 we will see its price recovering above $15k.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what exactly are we waiting for? on: September 27, 2018, 08:33:32 PM
Great question for all you cryptocurrency believers. What is going to drive the price of bitcoin up and all the altcoins? What exactly are we waiting for? Money doesnt just come out of thin air. What exactly is the catalyst? Again the question is, what exactly are we waiting for?

I think that this question should not be asked to the community as a whole, because everyone has approached this ecosystem motivated by different reasons. Rather I would ask you why are you waiting for the price of bitcoin to grow a lot? Because even if bitcoin stays for many years in the current price range, it would be a reliable and efficient cryptocurrency with low costs and fast transactions.

Only speculators without any commitment to bitcoin are interested in seeing again a rampant bullish race in its price to sell it as soon as they satisfy their excessive ambition.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favorite Coin for 2018? on: September 27, 2018, 07:53:16 PM
for myself, an acceptable coin in 2018 is ETH. She occupies a leading position on krypto, following bitcoin in many respects. According to forecasts, by the end of 2018 this crypto currency can return the price that was reached at the end of 2017, namely $ 1000 per coin.

Are you sure? I do not see strong reasons to think that this could happen in the medium term, especially taking into account the great competition that ethereum is facing with new cryptos that are offering better features than ethereum, which has motivated many ICOs to be launching their projects through their platforms like EOS.

In addition, the recent fall in the price of ether, as shocking as it is painful, has led many investors to be discouraged by the limited possibility of a rapid recovery in price, which seems to be leading to a lack of credibility in the long-term viability of ethereum.

That is why in my opinon, verything seems to indicate that, on the contrary, ethereum has more risk of being displaced from its current leadership than bitcoin, which seems more resilient in the face of the strong competition that new and more efficent altcoins are presenting.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another December Bull run on: September 26, 2018, 10:40:58 PM
Observing the historical behavior of bitcoin in recent years, it is easy to see that the months of December are usually quite volatile and disruptive, so they tend to be determinants to configure the trend that will continue during the following months, however, it is easy to observe that there have been end-years with bearish, bullish and stable trends alike, so I still do not understand why many assume that December is always a good year for bitcoin.

I prefer to be quite cautious in my forecasts for December, because I do not see conditions to expect a significant jump in the price of bitcoin since many investors seem to have been disillusioned by the performance of the market this year, and things seem to have returned to a normality that until before 2017 seemed to prevail in the market.
18  Local / Mexico / Re: IMPUESTOS EN MEXICO POR GANANCIAS EN CRYPTO on: September 26, 2018, 10:12:03 PM

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking about sell? Or invest more? on: September 25, 2018, 10:13:23 PM
In fact, everything seems to indicate that the moments of great panic have been left behind, and at this moment we are seeing a market that seems to have found a certain period of stability after the great storm that meant the first months of this year.

However, we should not assume that the market is about to recover its upward trend, so we should not become overconfident. It is likely that the market remains stagnant for a long time once speculators have discovered the great volatility and uncertainty that prevails in the crypto market.

Therefore, it may be advisable to invest but in a limited way, waiting for the possibility of finding even better prices in the coming months.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC in 2018? on: September 25, 2018, 09:46:19 PM
What we can expect from BTC around December 2018.  There are many predictions, some say it will go around $40,0000, some says it will same around all whole year, and there are other many other different predictions.  What’s your saying?

Well i'm from the future and it is running out of time.

Seriously speaking though, some predictions that seems a bit more accurate calculate that it will increase three times in price towards the end of the year. Will it happen? I certainly have no way of knowing that for sure. I personally prefer to not try to guess any price within a given time frame.

But, it looks like it will certainly increase in price towards the end of the year. How much?. We will have to wait to see.

However, they seem the be all over the place like always. Some predict $90.000, some $60.000. I believe the right question is, when will it reach the $1million mark?

If you would like to see more predictions: https://usethebitcoin.com/best-bitcoin-price-predictions-for-2018-and-coming-years/

With all the respect you deserve, I do not see under the current market conditions any opportunity for the price of bitcoin to close this year close to $100K, as some of those who appear in that article say they are convinced. In fact, the most unyielding of that article is that none of those supposed experts give a justification or analysis that leads them to conclude that this price is possible, they simply limit themselves to expressing a number. In addition, that article was drafted in May, when there were still seven months to the end of the year, and at this moment the time seems to play against them.

For the rest, I would like to know what are the bases of your excessive optimism. About three years ago, when I first started on bitcoin, I often saw that many bet that the price of bitcoin would reach one million dollars in the near future, but as time progresses fewer and fewer people dare to hold that position.
