1  Economy / Service Discussion / Service to shop on ebay with Bitcoin? on: July 15, 2020, 03:47:58 PM
I'm looking for a middle man service that would allow me to spend bitcoin on ebay items. All I could find are a past projects that got abandoned (forra.io, bitstore.tech, coin2shop, thebigcoin.io etc..).  Does such a thing even exist anymore?

I'm aware that a potential solution is setting up a virtual debit card, but I don't feel like going through paperwork and time to get one. I live in Europe so eBay gift cards aren't an option for me either.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People with most bitcoins should be in their 20's by now on: December 27, 2018, 11:03:12 PM
I don't imagine teenagers have +1 BTC to be honest, where would they get them from?
Asking their parents to withdraw part of their savings?

Okay, they might have been able to buy some through a holiday job or whatever, but they're teenagers.
They probably spend most of that money on other stuff, like a car (in the US) or on a holiday with their friends perhaps.

I remember reading lots of posts by teenagers mining Bitcoin in 2012 with their GPUs for some extra cash even though they had no idea what it's purpose was, so you never know. I doubt that many of them held on to their coins through all these years unless they were believers though.

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With a booming on 2017 and difficult time on 2018, will Bitcoin recover on 2019? on: December 27, 2018, 09:47:42 PM
Anyone that's crying about doom and gloom obviously hasn't been around during the 2014 bear market, 90% drops aren't anything new in these markets.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [4CHN] ChanCoin - the meme powered currency of 4chan on: October 29, 2017, 10:45:48 PM
Block explorer says there are 9 million + coins but coinbase says closer to 6 million.

That's because the 3 million premine is burned, it's pointed out in the first post.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: altcoins bounty campaigns are waste on: October 16, 2017, 01:17:49 PM
Recently i took part in couple of bounty campaigns, and i though i can earn some decent amount through it...but it was a total waste...i took part in targetcoin and coss ico campaign and after 2-3 months i recieved the bounty which is worth only about 8 USD including both Embarrassed it was just total waste of effort and time

It really depends on the budget of the project.

Will Mooncoin get a Raspberry Pi wallet anytime soon?

You can compile pretty much any altcoin wallet on a pi
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [HOWTO] compile altcoin for windows on linux using mxe and mingw on: January 14, 2017, 12:22:12 AM
Thanks, this worked really well! I wonder how difficult it would be to cross-compile for MacOS

Error:

/mnt/mxe/usr/i686-w64-mingw32.static/lib/libdb_cxx.a(os_pid.o):os_pid.c:(.text+0x25): undefined reference to `pthread_self'

Thank you,

To fix this issue edit the .pro file and replace

Code:
windows:LIBS += -lws2_32 -lshlwapi -lmswsock -lole32 -loleaut32 -luuid -lgdi32

with

Code:
windows:LIBS += -lws2_32 -lshlwapi -lmswsock -lole32 -loleaut32 -luuid -lgdi32 -pthread

Guys, question. Is there any connection between zcoin and zoin?

It's just a fork of ZCoin
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRUMP] TrumpCoin SuperPAC on: September 25, 2016, 12:02:56 AM
I made a Twitter tipbot which should come in handy.
It's really simple to use, just tweet "#magatip x trump" to tip someone

https://twitter.com/magatipbot
https://maga.vicenet.org

The design is a bit minimalistic because I was in a hurry, but it gets the job done.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRUMP] TrumpCoin SuperPAC on: August 06, 2016, 06:34:55 PM
What about a twitter tipbot? Do you guys think TrumpCoin needs one?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [TRUMP] TrumpCoin SuperPAC on: August 05, 2016, 11:16:43 AM
But just a fyi, I clicked [help] and got this:

I'll add a wiki later, for now you can use this as a reference.

I launched a Reddit tipbot if anyone is interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/trumpcoin/comments/4w9h91/trumpcoin_tipbot_is_live_umagatip
Reply to the thread and you'll get a decent tip. Also, make sure to upvote, the bot NEEDS karma.

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: January 25, 2015, 01:26:00 PM
I underestimated the scope of this project and set too ambitious of a schedule for it. Zerocoin will be probably be ready within 2-3 months, but I don't want to give any more release dates (either for testnet or mainnet) until I am very, very close. I will not make this mistake again.

I will continue to give status updates, and I have made tremendous progress in recent weeks. As I promised, I will still work full time on this until November 1, and I expect to have a few hours a day after that to work on it.

(as a side note I'm still waiting for my cryptsy deposit for more than 3 months)

lol, I revisited this topic after 3 months to see if any progress was made. And unsurprisingly it's still vaporware after countless deadlines broken. You guys couldn't even fix the wallet issues that make it impossible deposit or withdraw from cryptsy. This project is beyond sad at this point
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [MZC] MazaCoin *National Currency of the Traditional Lakota Nation* | NEW THREAD on: January 12, 2015, 11:44:11 PM
Hey guys. guruvan, a MazaCoin developer has asked me to lock this topic because the development team is no longer participating in the bitcointalk forums

The community is more active on the /r/mazacoin subreddit as well the #mazacoin and #mazacoin-dev IRC channels @ freenode
Also, be sure to check out http://mazacoin.org and https://twitter.com/MazaCoin for all the latest project news!
20  Economy / Marketplace / Shopping on ebay with bitcoin? on: December 20, 2014, 02:18:06 AM
I'm looking a for a reliable service that allows me to order stuff from ebay with bitcoin. Before I used snapcard, they had excellent service and low fees, but they quit a month ago.
Are there any good alternatives?
