2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: October 04, 2019, 02:43:34 AM
I am a beginner gambler. when I win in gambling I will buy valuable items such as gold or I invest in companies that need funds.
but not all the gambling money I bought gold or I invested, but half of it I used for gambling capital again.
so that I am not in vain playing gambling when I get older will have a lot of gold savings.

If you want to secure your future then why just invest all the money you use in gambling into the things you've mentioned. Gambling is a game of luck so it's like you depend your future on it, you'll just invest for your future if you win on gambling. If you still want to gamble for enjoyment there are some sites that offers a free amount to play.
The attitude we’ve got in gambling is the “One time Big time” in which even the food for the table sometimes we gamble to make it bigger but in the end losing is the price

And the idea of small capital that can be a hundred or thousand time larger is what gambling becomes more attractive

Well you've got gamblers here in this part of the forums so i doubt anyone's seriously considering making investments over spending their money on gambling. Winning definitely will add to the urge of spending nore time and money in gambling as much as losing. It's not a narutal human instinct that you can attribute to greed sometimes. Or one's need to challenge their fate and luck. As long as you're using your own money and not compromise other people, go after that prize.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion and Morality. on: October 04, 2019, 02:32:07 AM
Hey guys. I've been watching a lot of debates on youtube about this topic where theists, apologetics, philosophers, scientists, agnostics and atheists discuss whether religion has a monopoly over what people perceive to be right or wrong. Guys like WLC, Sam Harris, Jordan Peterson, Frank Turek, Richard Dawkins etc. Go after each other's throats to prove their points and honestly, i think every one of them has a valid argument.

What do you think?

If the outcome of the debates does not include enhancing love for God and people, then the debates are wrong.

Cool

Well most of them have no problem with enhancing love for other people as one aspect of morality. They differ largely though when it comes to love of God. We know there more than a thousand religions and a handful of major ones. For the people who believe that religion is the basis of morality, how do one assure himself that his religion is the true basis and not the others?

4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion and Morality. on: October 03, 2019, 01:04:13 PM
My opinion is that no act committed in the name of religion can be morally "good".

What I mean is that if you follow a religion, then you obey the dictates of that religion without question, and you act according to the rules of that religion, again without question. If a religion tells you to be kind to strangers, then the reason you are kind to strangers is not because you think it is a morally good act, rather you are doing it because the religion tells you to do it.

I suppose there's a distinction in there in that if you choose to follow a religion specifically because of its moral code, then the point doesn't really apply. But generally that isn't the case, people tend to follow a religion because they have been born into it.

It's the 'question everything' approach really. If you do not constantly critique and evaluate your own behaviour, then you can't perform a morally good act. If you don't take responsibility for your own actions, and instead defer all meaning to your religion and your god, then any act isn't really 'your' act at all.

I'm kinda leaning on that view as well. Though some arguments indicate that without God, or the bible, or the quran, you won't have a basis as to what good or bad is. I kinda got confused with that argument but I'd be happy to try and understand it. I think you don't need to have any external basis. What's hurts you is not good, therefore you shouldn't bestow that upon other people. I think the many of the early humans understood that even before being introduced to any religion.

Do you know what is happening to the world right now? there's tons of issue and a lot of crisis that had been happening around the world yet we dont even do something to protect our beloved world, here are some article to prove to you that we need to somehow act.

https://www.un.org/en/sections/issues-depth/global-issues-overview/

let me emphasize for what happening currently on amazon do you think that us human has the capability to distinguished such crisis like that if our government was only focuses on themselves and on some military guns and exploring what beyond the earth?

Like what happen though are we still in love to our planet or are we ready to leave this planet called home?

https://climate.nasa.gov/effects/

We should be awake right now, we should start thinking about the future on how we can save our own planet what so called home.

Lol. I find the statement "saving our planet" A bit funny and petty at the same time. We've been here for a couple of hundred thousand years compared to the planet who's been around more than 4 billions years old. Nothing we do will destroy the planet. The things we do will make the conditions dangerous for us. We're mere specs in this planet's history and long after we're gone because of our own selfishness and arrogance, the planet would still be here. We shouldn't be doing it for mother earth, we should be doing it for ourselves and the future generstions.

You know, I believe that conscience is the best religion ever.
If you don't have it, you have no god inside you. Simple  Smiley

I understand that. Though I'm not actually asking about religion. How do you come up with your conscience? Some atheists say that knowing what's good or bad can be a product of evolution and that it's imprinted already in the genes. Theists say that God is the basis of what's good, so by that you also get a definition for what's not good. Some philosophers say that it's a product of time and it's by instinct.

I just wanna what people's thoughts are about this. Where does your definition of morality come from?
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion of Peace? Why Religion At All on: October 03, 2019, 08:39:22 AM
Islam is RIGHT about women?  Grin
I am not believing the life after death but I love few things and hate few things of islamic religion, you may say that they are keeping women as slave but why we cannot say they are protecting them?

Ignore the practices from some Arab countries they are taking the advantages of religion and marrying more women as much as they can but its not really what it meant for the multiple marriages allowed.

It's kind of confusing sometimes since there are several interpretations of islam's teachings. Some moderate muslim can really convince you that islam is not about jihad and hate towards non-believers. I've come across some of these muslims and they're one of the most tolerant group of people i've ever encountered. And then there are the extremists who, as well all know, take the teachings of the Quran way too literally without giving ground.

9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will There Comes A Time That All Online Gambling Sites Are CryptoCurrency Based? on: October 03, 2019, 08:24:52 AM
Anonymity and popularity of Cryptocurrency are two of it's the best attraction.
And Cryptocurrency games are more transparent.
Will, there comes a time that all online gambling sites will be Cryptocurrency based?
For sure it will, where getting closer now to crypto connected gambling sites,in some gambling threads different games from all over the world are now starting to be acknowledged by gambling operators, the latest that I’ve read is a Cockfighting in which very popular to many countries from Asia to Europe or even in Africa and some part of America (though I think it’s illegal in USA)and of course impossible to Antarctica lol 😂

Generating gambling using all of cryptocurrency is more efficient than gambling in fiats

Can't be too sure about that dude. Even with the rise of online gambling, old school wagers are still pretty common. So there may come a time when crypto gambling is the most popular method, but it can't be the only one. Some people will still want to gamble either with properties, belongings and fiat. Gambling is a very big, diverse industry so you can'y have just one means for it.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Governor's Cup betting and discussion on: October 03, 2019, 02:49:20 AM
It's already the DYIP who is leading the game now, we are in the last quarter of the game and looks like they will upset the Northport here.
Perez with already 24 points now, he scores more than their import, if he continues his scoring effort in the 4th quarter, it might result to a big win for the DYIP.

This young player is so talented, he keeps impressing us every time he plays.

Of course Perez has the confidence more than any other of his teammates. Coming from FIBAWC, Perez has build up his confidence and that's why he is leading his team now against Northport.
No doubt as we seen his potential after this FIBAWC, He got the confidence and make his own way to stardom. CJ would be the next face of PBA  if he will
continue to have this monstrous type of game. The advantage of international competitions, just like TR7 after playing with the Team Gilas before he also gained the exposure and now he again showing his skills.

That perez kid did show a lot of people that talent-wise,  we have a good crop of players in the pba in the future. Both him and rob bolick for me, overshadowed their more veteran gilas teammates. Though i have a hinch that he won't stay with columbian dyip for a long time and would probably be shipped to either an smc team or talk n text. That's just me though lol.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: October 02, 2019, 11:32:57 PM
Mavs fan out there, did you watch the recent interview with Kristap Porzingis?

Look at his built. I've noticed that his body becomes more bulk up. Damn, what did he do while out on NBA (aside from involving into a brawl lol)? Like he isn't came from an injury.

Maybe others will see it as a disadvantage since he might become slow but for me, he will be like an athletic version of Dirk Nowitzki.

Probably not  version of Dirk since they don't have the same style of play. But I'm looking forward to where this porzingis and luka connection will take the mavs this season. They're not making as much noise the teams like the clippers and the lakers, but we may be looking at a dark horse here when playoff seadon comes.

Well if not, can you guys recommend me some trusted sportbook houses?

My blacklist
Fanobet

Use it on your own risk and just like been said above sportsbet do have major issues and if you do tried to look up on trust history on the Gambling site forum account here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=832366 you can presume that there are lots of negatives  which will give you hesitations but still there are gamblers who do still engage or make bettings on the site which its still operational until up to these days.If this is one of your option then you can try out if it would suits you out.

Right. Every major gambling site have their own issues. Might work for you, or you might find yourself posting on of the threads that you've linked above. I gave a few friends who's spending quite a lot of time im sportsbet.io and i've personally tried using the service, no issues as far as i'm concerned. Try it out. You're already gambling anyways 😁 in the end, it's just about handling your money responsibly regardless of what site you're on.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Golovkin vs. Dereyvanchenko - Vacant IBO Title on: October 02, 2019, 09:15:18 PM
I guess this is a dangerous fighter for Golovkin indeed, After Drawing in his first fight with Canelo Alvarez and losing the second one I really think that he will have a very hard time with Derevyanchenko, Talk about getting bias here but that is how I see things and Derevyanchenko is durable in the ring he doesn't have blazing speed but he is not slow either.

Derevyenchenko got a formidable power but not that formidable and he is a guy that is not easy to be hit, I guess Golovkin is not so motivated in this fight not like what he has between a Canelo Alvarez fight, We might say that he is not motivational to win this so I guess we can see a Derevyanchenko win it might be a Unanimous Decision regarding the performance Derevyanchenko could give.

I checked Dereyvanchenko and I'm not impressed at all then I checked both of their fights against Jacobs and it seems Golovkin has the upper hand, about motivation I don't think so his motivation should be high he is coming from a lost and he needs to regain that belt again if he loses here, that's two in a row and might as well retire Golovkin is a fighter and he will do everything to win here.

Well, that is just what I think about GGG Golovkin, I have said that he is not motivated because in his first match with Canelo was a draw and the rematched have happened and on that rematch he then a loss to Canelo I guess a fight with Canelo will gain that confidence and motivation he just eager to get, Well this is just my theory with Golovkin, He may underestimate Derevyancheko and I am saying that Derevyanchenko might have a UN win against Golovkin because I am seeing Golovkin a better fighter than him.

And Golovkin is not intending to make this fight because he is still obsessed with beating up Canelo Alvarez Because he got some issues regarding that fight.

Canelo's not going to give him another shot immediately though. If GGG  beats Derevyanchenko, which he most likely will, that should set up a hype for the third match with alvarez. Though golovkin for me is still very much an elite boxer, he's not getting any younger and would need to win more fights to boost his stock. So fights like this should be an advantage for him.
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Make it back to $20k ? on: October 02, 2019, 09:05:06 PM
We need more development and adoptation yo be able to increase the demand in cryptocurrency.
What kind of development you are waiting to happen in this market, any idea on how to increase the demand  Tongue.

The most answer to this is we do not know when bitcoin can make it back to that value. On my view, I think not this year probably the following year. Once more adoption and more demands the possibility is high to reach to 20k.
So both of you accept on one thing, more adoption and demand will boost the price  Wink.

Right now, there are two questions in this section that makes me laugh so much when I see them.
These are fun threads to have some laugh. Mods will close these kind of thread after a while and the same topic will start again and it keeps on continuing just like that.

The price should go back to the ATH this year, or next year at worse. Now is a good time to accumulate more bitcoins.
I do accept the fact that it is the best time to accumulate more bitcoin.
Lol i think there have been quite a lot of threads about bitcoin going back  20k even from last year. Some comments are basically the same though of course, these threads discuss only speculations about what btc price will be in the next few years. Majority of us i think, believe that 20k is not the final ath since crypto is generally still at an early stage. It's just a question of how long people are willing to hold on to their assets.
15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys ok if BTC ends in the 10k USD range at the end of 2019? on: October 02, 2019, 12:47:41 PM
As you all know, we broke down from the triangle. The answer on your question depends on what will be the movement of the market in general.
If btc drops a bit more to level of 7500 and then recovers to 10k, it would be great and a sign if bullish momentum.

Well it's the start of the third quarter now and things are looking pretty well. We're running above 8k again and if this is sustained, i'm confident about the possibility of bitcoin ending in the 10k levels. And compared to how we ended up in 2018, 10k would more than an accomplishment for bitcoin. That could also pave the way for a stronger 2020 and who knows if we'll break 20k in '20. Lol no pun intended Cheesy
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Down below $9k! Buy the dip now? on: October 02, 2019, 12:41:19 PM
I would not buy this dip honestly you should have been buying in the 3-4k range
now we are in uneasy territory and you are just taking a risk buying bitcoin right now

We should, that's like if... we don't do that when investing, we don't look at the past and hope we could have bought at that moment. F
Face the reality now, if we see some value then we buy.

I think we have some good movement today, and this might tell that we its right to really buy at dip at $9K and below.
BTC is now up 5.79% and the altcoins market are doing well, if this will continue, we might see it back to $10,000 in less than a week.

the thing about buying dips is that those people who always buy the dips are already buying the dip and enjoying the discount that the market offered them at this time and out of nowhere! and those who never are not going to change their mind with a topic like this. these people always panic buy later one when the price already went up. like the $3k range, when they were saying they should wait for $1k to buy and $3k-$4k is way too high! then they panic bought at $6k instead!!!

That will be easy if you can afford to hold on for a long time. We don't know if the price will go back to the sub 5k levels but there's always the possibility that it will. If you're willing to ride that kind of fluctuation and wait for another recovery stage, then buying at 8k won't be such a bad idea at all. Again it's all about how much and how long you're willing to risk.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: I wan't to believe on: October 02, 2019, 12:35:15 PM
Yeah, 16k could have been possible if bitcoin managed to stay above 10k for the September month, it would have been a difficult one for sure but it would have been a bit more possible considering we had hit 12k or so in the recent weeks, however now that we have seen under 8k as well it looks like doubling the current price seems unlikely. Don't get me wrong it is bitcoin, anything could happen tomorrow but looks of it bitcoin is at around 8k levels and even if it does go up it will probably go up to 10k or around not 16k, even on a huge bull run 12k would be possible but 16k seems improbable.

Everyone is free to believe what they want to, if you believe bitcoin will go up that much then go ahead but that doesn't mean that its a bit risky if you put your money where you believe.

Lol and i doubt if the people who are saying they believe bitcoin will move towards 16k would even place their money on btc. Most of the people who make such statements probably don't even hold bitcoins. All air. Same as those people who say bitcoin will drop to depressing lows. I'd rather be realistic with my beliefs and keep my expectations at a minimum level.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: is the market building up towards another bog FOMO? on: October 02, 2019, 08:53:21 AM
Another big FOMOs probably not going to happen again if you're thinking  about the scale of  the 2017 one that boosted us to the current all time high. People have seen enough of how easily they can lose money big time if they blindly ride a FOMO wave. There may still be hype for another run, but we'll probably not see a real big FOMO any time soon.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Q4 -Quarter 4 speculation thread, where will 2019 end, join the LIST on: October 02, 2019, 08:45:02 AM
Nice one, that's fast. Thank you micgoossens for hosting this another exciting prediction game.

My prediction is $15,000, hopefully I will be lucky this time around.  Good luck to all of you guys.

I think that's being too hopeful already. It's going to be a big jump from hiw we ended 2018 if we'll end up with 15k. Just for the sake of it though, i'd place my bet from 10 to 13k. And that's stretching it already. We now know that the 4th quarter is not always ran by the bulls with what happened last year. I'll be happy if we sustain just the 10k levels.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling of crypto prices on: October 02, 2019, 08:41:04 AM
I read of someone transferring a billion dollars worth of bitcoin and some people speculated that if it hits exchanges, it would cause bitcoin to drop.Do you guys think this is the cause or maybe it's just a bear trap?

If there is no valid evidence then that is not true news. Everyone can make a lot of news about bitcoin. But make sure the news has valid proof like proof of transfer, etc. There are many speculation about why bitcoin falls. Right now it seems like investors are really panicking so they sell their bitcoin and cause prices to fall. But soon Bitcoin will definitely rise again.

Who knows it's a legit information to consider mate, and although it has not been confirmed though possible verification or fact check should be done. Some made lots of speculative news or article but it's not guaranteed believable. What's bad nowadays fake news spread worldwide specially at social media and on several websites, that's why the circulating information can be trending to anybody.

Yeah and i don't think a lot of people would take the time to go through the btc transactions and track down the wallet address where that came from. It's not going to chance any facts and events that have already happened. Of course an amount like that would definitely cause an immediate effect on bitcoin's value. But it happens everytime. It's not a special case anymore. It's not going to do us anything if we know which single transaction caused a pump or a dump.
