Bitpay takes a percentage of my money.

I like cash because there are no Fee's; we here know Bitcoin is digital cash.

I don't like the idea of giving any percentage of my business to anyone. But I do like the idea of operating cashless and broadening accepted payment is never a bad thing. Bitpay might get away with it now, but tomorrows bitcoin vendors will have 0 transactions free's.

5  Other / Beginners & Help / Best way to Distribute paper bitcoins? on: September 16, 2012, 01:36:19 AM
I sell bitcoins locally and to get my name out there I'm thinking I want to distribute some bitcoin locally.

Like a real life fountain. Ive been loading blockchain.info wallets and making QR codes of the Keys and putting the passwords underneath. Lot of work for each .01btc

There a faster way to do this? I know armory lets you print wallets but I really want something smart phone users can use.

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 1 hour for a safe transaction? really? how is this being addressed? on: September 15, 2012, 02:58:55 AM
ok, that makes a lot less risk then how people were making it look in chat.

So if a business wanted to take bitcoin; they could simply have a computer screen up and watch blockchain.info as soon as a transaction shows as pending they are fairly safe to let the costumer walk out?

So a POS could just be a tablet set to blockchain.info to watch a singular address. QR code printed and on the counter.  A merchant account just be a MT gox account set to sell as soon as BTC hits the account?

whats this then?

http://blockchain.info/double-spends

The way I read it some one with hashing power could make it so your transactions never confirms.

How would it ever be Practical for business to accept bitcoin if they need to the customer to wait for 6 confirmations?

Is there any way speed this up?

I've been using bitcoin for awhile but never realized it was that easy to stop a transactions without confirmations if the attacker happens to be a miner.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I used bitinstant to send bitcoins to my wallet but they never arrived. on: September 14, 2012, 08:18:33 PM
Is it confirmed on the block-chain? link it

make sure you can see that same address in your wallet.

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Tablet POS, preferably andriod with built in QR reader on: September 14, 2012, 12:40:09 AM
I run a couple business's and looking to install a POS and test the waters on bitcoin. Maybe give some bitcoin out in a coupons. just a QR linked to block-chain wallet. Password would only be given out at the store. if by a certain date no one uses them, ill just clear out the wallet.

I got some tablets sitting around. Thinking of just mounting it in a store; any good apps out there?

Wound be cool if I could hook up a bar-code scanner with prices. or just a USB number pad soo my teller can enter the price in USD then the customer see's the price in bitcoin.

Also would like to see an APP I can set the conversion rate. Prefable in real time on a website I control. Allowing me to pad it a bit to help me avoid any volatility issues.

Thanks

got my answer. great video

So got one I didnt see any pricetag?

and what does this thing have to do with bitcoin? It implied it would function with it, but how does it solve POS issues or funding ext.

why would I want to have my movement tracked at all time?
