Ethereum is up almost 50% from its 0.025 BTC prices in less than a month. Many people have anticipated this increase because of many reason one of them was hard fork on this month. Other reason was heavily over sold and it a rally to restore the confidence was due at the same time. I am glad to see it on the place it deserves and finally is there and now it will sustain it.
After the hard fork, the emission will be reduced significantly. That will support the price. |

I agree with you, but now there are a number of new altc that threaten that position, they are more serious and have a large community, like XLM, XRP, EOS is not impossible, in the future they can shift the position of ethereum

Different people think differently. Some say that it will disappear from the market and some argue that it will be the mainstream in the future no matter what will be the price. When all the people in the world start using their bitcoin they will not compare it with dollar or their local currency. Bitcoin will also be assumed like our regular local currency. The cheap bitcoin price will attract more investors and the price will rise eventually. So just be patient. |

Apparently there is an issue between the different clients like Geth and Parity. That and also the lack of miners.
Either way, the chain stalled and they will most likely have to post pone the main net release until they can get this fixed.
It's good that this happened on testnet and not mainnet or else would of been a catastrophe.
It is good so that we can still have 3ETH instead of 2. |

I think it is entirely possible. I invested in some zcash . It is the first blockchain system that uses a zero-knowledge proof mechanism. In the long run, it will be the best privacy coin.
Zcash is one of the best altcoins to be mined - the awards are pretty high. However, even if you invest in this token, you can also wait for the returns which will be good. I know many GPU miners have quit mining ZCash due to the arrival of ASIC. |

Which miner softwares have already been updated to support the new fork? and which one would you recommend for cpu mining? I have been using XMR CGPU before (that was giving the best results) but it's not updated yet :/
Pools usually have links to recommended miners on their respective site. As always, different hardware/rig/HW config reacts differently with a particular miner. Hence, testing and tweaking them is a must if you care about squeezing out performance and that sort of stuff. Went with XMR Stak, works fine, hashrates are the same, as I was able to use my previously config files Have you tried Claymore? What is the speed difference? |

I just wand to add why ethhereum is better in my opinion. Because I also invest in ethereum and also believe that ethereum has potential. I'm not interested in other altcoins. Somehow I like eth more than BTC.
Your suggestion and prediction is good but doesn't stick only on ETH because Bitcoin is the first major currency where it can increase the price even higher value and crypto market is completely based on the patience. That is right. But the Bitcoin Cash is also the first major currency. So the price could rise as well. |

I remember my first 100 ETH cash out @$2 and still crying on the inside. The current dip is viewed by me as an opportunity to approach 100 ETH.
There is big difference between $2 and over $450 I can't understand how anybody can buy if he sold this token at low price. Or you mean price will drop to that level very soon. If I think the price will be 2k next year, I will buy at the current price. |

I'm using these exact cards and getting 28.5-29 mhs in claymore, pulling 100-110 watts from the wall each.
That is very power efficient. I believe. |
