Anyone here know how to get this message to vertoe? Her account here was hacked. Dear vertoe,
We are re-launching Dash in a fair way, with no instamine and no Foundation.
We want to fix all the bad things that made you leave, and restore the original vision of Darkcoin.

Is this the coin for those who missed the launch?1. Miss the lunch 2. Butt-hurt 3. Lunch again 4.  5. PROFIT Yes, because EVERYONE except Evan The Instaminer missed the ninja-launch date, thanks to Evan's lie about waiting to launch it.
What evan did was;
1) Released Darkcoin/Dash
2) Put the block reward at 500 coins per block
3) Make it only available to the extremely small pool of linux users(So his buddies and himself could get the majority of coins)
4) Instamine darkcoin with a few of his buddies
5) Cut Darkcoin's block rewards over 50% from 500 to under 100
6) Cut Darkcoin's max coin supply by 50%
7) End the instamine within 40 hours and go on his merry way
What makes that even worse, was that he made the masternodes as a way to continue enriching himself, so he could gain even more $ from the coins he instamined. Within 40 hours over 2million Darkcoins were mined by Evan and a few others at darkcoins/DASH's release.
If this isnt a scam, then I dont know what is.
Evan lied to you. He lied right to your face. Ok now it insta crashes when I type "setgenerate true".

No airdrop. We will do what Old Dash (back when it was XCoin/Darkcoin) was supposed to do, a fair launch for X11 miners with no ambush/premine, plenty of warning, and support for Windows. When does mining start? Nice to see this come about. Please wait, while we perform a ninja mine first. We are committed to avoiding the mistakes made by Old Dash, such as their unfair ninja mine aka instamine and sudden ambush launch and lack of Windows support. Not a single XDC will be mined until the public launch. We want Dash Classic's actual emission to line up exactly with what it should be as set by the difficulty/retargeting code/logic. This looks like an attempt at a shitcoin that you're trying to sell with the thin excuse of replacing Dash's flaws on launch.
You straight up can't clone your competitor right down to using their marketing materials and content and expect your effort to supplant and replace their first-mover advantage to be taken seriously.
The right way to do it would be to choose a different name and branding. Create your own video and other marketing assets. THEN in all other communications, take on Dash head-on. Anything else is just an effort to make money from a shitcoin.
Those are all good points. Most of the Old Dash material is the same for Dash Classic, besides the Instamine and Foundation stuff. The point of Dash Classic isn't to scam people and make money. We'd just do another instamine if that was the goal, LOL! We want to see what Old Dash's technology and community can accomplish when not held back by the instamine/foundation and the burden of a scam reputation. At least these things that need to be done before launch if this is actually going to happen:1. Figure out how to actually build the code, have binaries ready for launch (highly desirable, though not necessarily essential). This includes making a new fork (new network bits, port assignments, genesis block, etc.), all essential. 2. Define the emissions curve. Find the various code for the historical hard forks (cutting supply changing reward formula, etc.) in Dash and remove/replace that code. Obviously replicating the instamine is not the goal here, so this seems essential. I can't see doing a launch without getting this stuff figured out first. 3. Find/replace/remove the spork key. It won't be easy to fix Dash's flaws. We obviously have a LOT of work to do. |

X11 works on CPU AND GPU. Let's face it. The launch of Old Dash was a disaster. Either accidentally or intentionally, millions of coins were mined in the first two days, before the rest of us had a fair chance to start mining. That instamine haunts Old Dash to this day, causing endless headaches as it appears to be a red flag, forever marking Old Dash as a scam-coin. It's time for a fresh start. A fresh start with fair notice given to all, and no broken code to cause a ridiculous beginning plus eternal headaches thereafter. Ah, X11. I thought it was cryptonote or something... We'd like to keep what's working and throw out what isn't. The biggest problems are the Instamine, centralized Foundation, and 1000 coin Masternode requirement. No problems with X11 so far, though if you want to propose a change you are very welcome to do so at https://dashclassic.consider.it/. |

Hi
I am playing with the idea to do a DASH (former Darkcoin, former XCoin) relaunch.
I think they have pretty good tech, but the instamine bothers me. I sold all my DASH in the recent months with a loss.
But I still like the tech of the coin.
Reason for the relaunch?
1-The instamine: some evidence is floating around on bitcointalk that Evan and some of his friends started XCoin to benefit from an intentional instamine. This isn't a fair distribution
2-The masternode threshold isn't fair. I would give everyone the opportunity to set up masternodes and receive a reward for doing this. Also everyone will be able to vote based on the number of coins they own.
I wanted to gauge interest in this project.
Currently I'm thinking of these specifics for XDC:
Hashing algorithm: X11, the same as DASH
Seems to be a logical choice, so we can compete for hashing power with DASH
Name: XDC, which can mean different things:
-A reference to X11, the hashing algorithm
-Digital/decentralized currency/cash
-Even DarkCoin is a possibility
It will have the benefit of starting with the international currency symbol "X"

Emission:
No instamine or premine. I suggest 21 million coins with the same emission curve as BTC.
It doesn't really matter how much coins would circulate. But if you have other opinions, comment below/
Block time:
Maybe 2.5 minutes? Please comment below
Mining reward (new coins + fees):
45% For miners, 45% for masternodes, 10% for the decentralized budget (same as DASH)
These 10% will be added to a special address that can only be unlocked by the voting by the coin holders.

Governance:
Everybody can ask questions to the network. Everyone will be able to vote with his/her coin holdings. (51% of votes is enough to pass a proposal)
The decentralized budget will only be unlocked if 51% of the coins in circulation vote yes on a budget proposal. (Dash only requires 51% of the masternode votes)
This is more fair than DASH. Not only masternodes vote, everybody can vote and a bigger consensus will be needed for the budget proposals.
Masternode tasks:
-running a full node
-locking transactions
-mixing coins
