1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / NEO Tracker Wallet hack? on: February 27, 2018, 03:21:47 PM
Has my NEO Tracker wallet been hacked? https://neotracker.io/wallet
Look at the picture of transactions.
My address is: AV6Wjr8gJFw1MMyCDwPhc5oqFwVC6kWu3Y

I have not transferred any NEO since I deposited my NEO into NEO Tracker Wallet from exchanges on the 12th of February 2018. Is there something I am missing or was my NEO Tracker wallet hacked just hours after I opened the wallet and transferred the funds to the wallet?

Edit: How the heck do you post images here? It's not excatly intuitive

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Can you name a high transaction capacity altcoin? on: December 13, 2017, 08:29:45 AM
The Bitcoin and Ethereum networks are obviously too slow. We need a coin which can handle >100,000 transactions per second. Can you name one? A coin which markets itself like digital cash (like Bitcoin) but is immensely faster. No, not Ripple, but one that is decentralized, and its primary function is as digital cash.

Do these coins do it, or are they promoting wishful thinking without the tech to back it up?
Stash
Radix
Cypherium
Chia
PascalCoin
NEM

Do not let this become a thread where people debate all sorts of pros and cons of their favorite coins, this is about scalability and transaction speed, that's it!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Byteball developers, take heed! on: December 07, 2017, 08:50:33 AM
It is not enough to have good tech to be successful. You need to:

1. Important point: Brand yourself as the scalable, no blockchain cryptocurrency. This is what you need to push! On your website the first thing you see is a heading that says "Why use Byteball?" and you do not even mention this! You mention lots of things that are WAY less important than scalability. Only on the very bottom of your web page, as a side note, do you mention "Unbounded scalability, fast confirmations, no miners, no blocks, low fees" <--- This should be the first thing visitors see when they open your website. This is so important. This is more important than all the other points I mention combined...

2. Change the name. Byteball, Gbytes, this does not appeal to people and scares your average person away.
3. Marketing, do it!
4. Get a bigger team, include business people
5. Do not have both blackbytes and regular Gbytes. If I buy Gbytes I still don't have blackbytes, so what good is it to me? Basically you are seperating your tech into two different coins. This is confusing, and it messes with investors, because being invested in one does not mean you are invested in the other. Pick one, and stick to it.
6. Your chatbot way of dealing with things is not a preferred method. It seems messy and inconvenient. Stick to a normal, simple wallet.
7. Get your coin listed on as many exchanges as possible
8. Forget these "cashback" programs you have, it makes you seem less serious.

Sincerely, Frustrated Byteball owner

P.S. This was posted on reddit, but I was told that the Byteball devs are not there, so I posted it here instead, in hoping they would see it

5  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Sending BTC with two-factor authorization, issues on: December 11, 2015, 05:24:54 PM
Hi,

I know this is an old topic but I have the same issue but have not been able to resolve it.

Info:

MacBook with Electrum 2.5.4 (latest) installed. 2FA wallet with Trusted[Suspicious link removed]gle Authenticator delivers the OTP (otp - One Time Password).
I have Google Authenticator installed on my iPhone 6. There is no option/setting in Google Authenticator for the iPhone for what you talk about here, quote:"but I tried Settings, Time Correction for codes, and Sync now in Google Authenticator." That doesnīt exist in the iOS app. However, I have my Date & Time on both my iPhone and MacBook synced with the internet, standard settings.

Problem: Like you, when I try to transfer funds out of my Electrum wallet I get an error message saying "invalid otp" which must mean that it will not accept my Google Authenticator password (my One Time Password). How do I solve this? My clocks are syncronized.

Please help Smiley Also, yes I have read everything on Electrumīs "Docs"/FAQ/help stuff and also TrustedCoins website, and none of them provide any answers.

Also, if restoring my Electrum 2FA Trustedcoin wallet is the only option, how do I go about doing that? And no, the Electrum docs do not explain how to do it, they just say it is possible. If I go to "File" in my Electrum application for MacBook there is an option for "New/Restore" (as if that is the same thing, weird). If I click it I am prompted to create a new wallet, there is nothing about Restoring a wallet there. If I follow through the steps all that happens is I end up with another wallet. What happened to the "Restore" part of "New/Restore"?
6  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wonīt send my bitcoins to another wallet! on: December 11, 2015, 04:50:21 PM

Hi,

I did read the docs and they are not helpful. There is no step-by-step guide to restoring your wallet. It just a dialog box where you can choose to restore the wallet from seed. How did they get to this dialog box? At the top of the dialog box from "the docs" it says Electrum - install wizard. Does that mean I have to delete Electrum entirely and reinstall it? Is that the only way to restore a wallet? BTW, there is no explanation of any of that in the docs. It just says your coins are not lost because you can restore them from the seed. It does not however, explain how to go about doing that.

Please help rather than referring me to other places. When I go to a forum it is not for something I could find in the FAQ or guides provided by the website of the product or service I am using. Of course I have checked that out already.

OK, I read on a forum that if you restore your 2FA wallet from seed the 2FA will go away. But how do I restore from wallet in Electrum? If I go to the "File" menu there is a combined item that says "New/restore" as if that is the same thing??!! If I press it, it only prompts me to create a new wallet. I already done that, but that doesnīt help. I want to restore my old wallet, which I currently have access to but canīt transfer funds out of because of the stupid 2FA. Please help!!!

Youīre absolutely right. "invalid otp" probably stands for "invalid one-time-password" which would be the 2 factor authenticator code from Google Authenticator. For some reason Electrum/TrustedCoin does not recognize it. The problem is, because of this I cannot transfer the funds to a different wallet, it wonīt let me because it will not accept my 2 Factor Authenticator code. So what do I do now? Is my bitcoins just locked away in my wallet and I can never transfer them anywhere?

If I restored my wallet from my seed, would I also restore the "type" of wallet it is? I.e. would it still be a 2 Factor Authenticator wallet? In which case my money is permanently locked away?

Thank you so much for your reply Cheesy

Yeah I remeber enabling the 2FA thing when I set it up, but how do I turn it off then? I couldnīt find anything under settings :/

Also, I tried again and got a new error message, a triangle with an exclamation point in it, typical warning sign, and the text said "invalid otp". What the heck does that mean? And no link to any explanation or help. I canīt really say that Electrum is very user friendly...
10  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wonīt send my bitcoins to another wallet! on: December 10, 2015, 06:38:18 PM

It might be because it is partially signed. If so, how do I get it to be "fully signed"? It also might be because I have "Change Addresses" disabled. Or because Electrum says "Server is lagging"on the bottom. Although I do have "Auto-connect" enabled, so it should find the fastest server.

Does anyone know what the problem is? Please help Smiley
11  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wonīt send my bitcoins to another wallet! on: December 10, 2015, 06:01:47 PM
which was the old version?

I downloaded it a month or so ago, so pretty new, I donīt remember the version number. Anyway, it has nothing to do with the version, because it isnīt working now either. I downloaded both from the official Electrum website. I am trying to find a guide or something, to so whether I am messing up a step, but the FAQ on Electrumīs website does not address my situation or questions. Nor is there a simple guide on how to transfer funds. I canīt believe I am the only one having a problem.
12  Bitcoin / Electrum / Electrum wonīt send my bitcoins to another wallet! on: December 10, 2015, 07:15:38 AM
Hi all,

So Iīve tried several times with days in between to transfer bitcoins from my Electrum wallet to another wallet.

Info: Electrum wallet version 2.5.4 for Mac OS X (macbook). Yesterday I tried transferring bitcoins and was prompted for my password (encrypted wallet), then for my Google Authenticator number, which I entered, I pressed "Send", some seconds went by and I get a dialog box which says the transfer was successful. Yay! I think. But my bitcoins do not appear in the new wallet. For a while the bitcoins in my Electrum wallet appeared as a lower amount (original amount minus the amount transferred). But after a while my Electrum wallet appears full and my new wallet is still empty. Also the "History" tab in my electrum wallet only shows the original transfer from my bitcoin exchange to my Electrum wallet. As if the other transfer to the new wallet never happened! This I did with 0 fees.

Ok, so you think it is the fees. Next I did it with 0.55 mBTC in fees, the recommended amount by Electrum. Same thing happened, only this time my Electrum wallet appeared as full all the time, and it was as if the transfer never took place.

Now today I tried again (with recommended fees), after installing the newest version of Electrum (2.5.4), although my "old" one was only a month or so old. This time I am not even prompted for my password, my google authenticator code, I get no dialog box saying "Successful" and it is as if nothing happens! WTF! How hard can it be to transfer funds from one wallet to another? What am I doing wrong?

Please help Smiley
