U can hold lamd gold amd all of them amd coomodiets oil gas things like that it only helps when you have enough for the export british have zero oil zero gas

Ou but british have gold the gold will only have value if the dollar value are low !
Gold is risk asset amd gold is not with limited supply
So its useless and it works only if you you are british amd need hedge to protect your wealth .....

Everybody knows now how the things are everybody talking openly so

But british stable coin could be solution. Becouse it will give instant liqutity but it can only if british will do QE

well the british might borrow money from outside....
With quite high rate ....how they back well foreign investors will invest in uk to build factories there .
Gold does have a limited supply, although not in the same way Bitcoin has. Oil and gas are commodities which are on the decline with the awareness of global warming and the carbon footprint of such fuels they will become less and less popular, production ultimately being limited to practically zero. I am an avid supporter of Crypto, I’ve been  mining on and off since 2015, and I cannot yet see adoption and trust sufficient enough for an entire country population to accept it.

Hi,
We've just updated graphics cards to Radeon RX Vega64 8G HBM2 and I use ethos on PCs when they're not in use during the day. Ethos doesn't recognise this card - does anyone have any hints/tips?

Thanks,
Adyb

Did anyone else notice an unusual delay in sending payments earlier today/last night? The suspicious side of me wonders if this has anything to do with the btc gold fork. I may be way off the mark and it was a technical glitch but the timing is just too convenient for me....

With the hundreds (likely thousands) of BTC slush has, seems unlikely they'd mess with payouts so they can get a couple of a soon to be worthless alt coin.

Probably my overly suspicious mind working overtime!

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine BTC Gold...??? on: October 22, 2017, 10:01:52 PM
Bitcoin gold is asic resistant, you won’t be able to use “a machine” from bitmain to mine this altcoin. I’m setting up my new rig tomorrow and hope to give BTC Gold a punt for a few months. Previously I’ve always mined bitcoin, but I don’t really want to add another asic to my mine - it’s far too loud!

If you go down this route please let me know if you're going to offer repair service to others, I've got a dead s9 hash board....

9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: February 21, 2017, 12:30:07 PM
My order has arrived, just 2 S9 one installed and working in my server room, the other is at home - but not for long as it's way too loud.

Has anyone else noticed that they're past their payout threshold (since a fair few hours) and payments haven't been sent out yet?
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: February 17, 2017, 10:57:22 AM
Mine aren't arriving until the 21st - I am in the UK.

As for those asking about customs - Fedex calculate the customs charges and inform you in advance. The delivery driver will be expecting to be paid before they hand over the goods - at least that's the way it works over here.

I left this pool to move my hashing power to Kano.is block finds were just not happening as often as they should here anymore. Which is a shame, as the web platform and information is brilliant....
13  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: January 27, 2016, 08:39:17 AM
I thought that those that mine here might want to read this.> Sums it up quite nicely.. I honestly think this pool cant handle 40 ph.. 15 ph pool ok.   40 ph and the server or network cant keep up .. causing a whole heap of issues..  Kano put it really well here..  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=789369.msg13658516#msg13658516

Then take a look at this. Now take out all the super small pools as variance is what has killed some of those pools. Not to mention 20 % diff increases for a small pool would just about kill it if you didnt find a block every diff change!  http://organofcorti.blogspot.com/2016/01/january-17th-2016-mining-pool-statistics.html

The fact that slush hasnt really responded to fb or here at all tells me a lot!!!

Best Regards

I was thinking the same to be honest. I'm a network manager for an ISP and to me it's looking like there is an issue with the pool servers or connectivity that is failing or reaching capacity at about the 40ph/s level. I sincerely hope this is the case. We've had a few good days at just below the 40 level. So hopefully slush is aware, I'd just love to see more frequent updates in here from him or his team...
14  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 0.5% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 148 blocks solved! on: January 20, 2016, 09:18:49 PM
Been solo on here for a week after a short spell towards the end of 2015. Just leaving my 5THs running for a few months to see if I strike it lucky.

Back up to nearly the 40ph/s mark and "luck" has taken a steady dive over the last few days....
16  Bitcoin / Pools / Just lost about 7PH/s on: January 03, 2016, 11:26:33 PM
Back down at 33 PH/s - will "luck" take a turn for the better again like it did last time a substantial amount of hash left the pool?
17  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: December 26, 2015, 08:27:29 PM
It seems that now we're at about 40PH/s luck has taken a fall again.... Huh
18  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9000 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: December 19, 2015, 08:39:11 AM
7 th/s joined the pool today..
Surely you mean 7 PH/s

Thanks for the input guys...
I'm solo mining at ckpool at the moment, see how that pans out for the next few months while I get my sh*t together
20  Economy / Services / Anyone interested in starting a pool in the UK on: December 18, 2015, 10:45:07 AM
Hi,
I have access to a small but well connected DC that is owned my ISP business in the UK and I'm interested in starting a UK pool. I'm relatively new to the mining scene, but as a seasoned IT professional and network expert I'm really interested in starting this up either on my own, or with other interested parties.
I'm planning on getting the servers together over the xmas break but only have 2.5THs available to me at the moment, all of which is solo mining at ckpool, having lost my enthusiasm for Slush...
Any collaborators out there wanting to work alongside me on this?

Ade
