Unfortuately, https://old.bitinstant.com gives this SSL error in Firefox:

"old.bitinstant.com uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is only valid for the following names:
  www.bitinstant.com , bitinstant.com 

(Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)"

It's refreshing to have a big, prominent company coming out and supporting Bitcoin. It does a lot of good to have something to contrast with SR. Especially when WordPress.com goes sout of its way to point out the quasi-censorious nature of PayPal.

I'm not going to make it to SA tonight, but count me in for any Austin bitcoin meetups. I'm still relatively new to bitcoin, but I'm excited to learn more.

Still working on acquiring my first bitcoin...but I suspect that when I get it, I'll save it.

The site also has a tab toward the top called "Clients", so I think they are being balanced in trying to communicate that there is 1 bitcoin system, but many client implementations.

I'd love to subscribe to the magazine in an ebook format. I'd subscribe on day 1.

I think bitcoin and HIB are a perfect match...except that they are in the business of helping game makers make a living, not in opening up new monetary trails. I would expect HIB to be one of the last groups to accept bitcoin, rather than one of the first.

I would imagine that a service like Stripe, but for bitcoins, would be a big opportunity both for the creators of the service and for bitcoin. I know I'd be excited to look into such a service.
