Can you guys bestshare/share to me, I will appreciate it.
"bestshare": 79520145.633671209, "bestever": 79520145
What this relates to, and how does it work? Is it difficulty related, or..
Thanks.
It's just the highest share you've turned in since the last solve by the solo.ck pool and the highest share you've turned in ever, respectively. It's only for fun. It doesn't mean anything nor is it related to any progress toward finding a block by your miner. So you are saying it is pure luck factor. More TH/s you throw at it, more chances you have? In other words, you could get solo block with the rig at 5GH/s, if you are extreeeeeeeemely lucky.

If you find a share equal or above than difficulty, you solve the block. "bestshare": 14892613.161111485, "bestever": 906686229} How many TH/s?

That shouldn't be the case either unless it's still a rental issue. Try the 3334 port for rentals. Thanks. I'll leave it for now because its working . Next time I'll try 3334 . EDIT: Pool stats now show 175TH . Do you ever sleep -ck? Doesn't seem to matter what time I post you always answer . Well it sounds okay then if it's getting to 200TH. Sleep? Define it? Yeah its looking ok now . Going to bed and getting sleep for more than 2 hours? I struggle with that . So, you are pretty much sleeping like a baby

Basically it isn't said but those 0.5-1PH could all be small workers hashing little shares with minimum difficulty while if you had 1 or a couple rigs that equated to that you "might" have a better chance.
Nope, it doesn't matter if you have one machine at 1PH or one thousand machines at 1TH each, a hash is a hash is a hash and any one has just as much chance of solving a block as another. Anyway, way better chance than winning Powerball

Quick question.
Should I even try to solo mine with let's say 5 TH/s? I see posts that you guys are throwing 0.5 or 1PH/s at it sometimes with no luck.

Prices must have gone up quite a bit, I was renting consistently at .0046 for a while last week.
Yup, over last few days. More competition (more high TH/S orders) I guess. Zem

Nicehash allow you to point all the hashing power to Kano.is? How many hrs do you get to use 100TH for that $500? Hmmm.......I may look into this as that sounds like a good gamble for a great pool such as Kano. When renting their rigs, yes. is it gambling, maybe. Everything in life is Nicehash has a calculator when placing an order. Give it a shot I asked the same question few pages ago but nobody answer me. How much will i gain if i rent 100th for let say 12 h, and in that time if we solve 5 blocks or 1, doesnt mater? Im confused because of the 5nd pplns. Thanks Hard to say.... Try to play over the full 5ND cycle. You will start losing money at start (investment period,) but you could come up ahead. Here is data I found. make what you want out of it - Nicehas (NH) has reports that average rental price for last 30 days was 0.0053 BTC per TH/s - WestHash - You need to add 3% fee on top of that as that is how much NH scrapes of every order you place. That will put you at about 0.00545 BTC per TH/s- Zach CKpool monitor says that if you were on Kano pool for a 30 days, you should made about 0.00585963 BTC per TH/s- Delta in between these two should be a profit I guess Maybe I am wrong in the statement above, but I am running 30 days project to test the theory. Hope this helps. ZemCoin That's interesting, Zem. We ran Slush's Pool for several months and were getting a consistent 30-day yield of 0.24-0.28 BTC with 2.9Th/s...or about .08 to .09 BTC per Th/s. Quite a difference from Zach's figure. Gonna have to watch this thing carefully, I guess. I'm only running 7 days of test here; if it doesn't at least meet our previous experience, and slightly better than the same stats for the same period as Slush, I'll have to move it back to Slush. Onward.
I guess this is your 30 days yield with 2.9 TH/s is 0.24-0.28 BTC, which is about 08 to .09 BTC per Th/s To top my math above, you will need to multiply my 0.00585963 number by 30 (days), which give's you about 0.1757889 BTC per TH/s (Earnings over 30 days). Zach number is only TH/s average over last 30 days, not a total earning. Hope this helps. Can any of other math wiz's validate the math above? Zem.

Nicehash up 6% over normal bitcoin payout. Can't touch this pool.
True if you have your own gear. I am renting rigs from them

Kano,
Any idea why the DE node is throwing 4 x more invalids?
Please make sure you have your main pool backup in there, since I don't have an alert on this type of failure that's occurred suddenly in the last hour. It is yet again running OK for now and back up to the same users and connections as before.
As a NiceHash rental user I have no choice with the backup pools, but I am hedging with orders connecting to main and DE node. Worst case scenario, it stops mining for a while until you fix the issue. No problems.

Woo more green Kano, is DE node down. Nicehash disconnected 20 min ago! EDIT: It just came up. Yeah it was down for about 10 minutes, restarted and still had a hiccough, but been all ok since UTC: [2016-01-11 12:33:27.325] Passthrough ... recovered Edit: no still having problems ... I'd make sure you have failover to the main pool while I try to sort out why it keeps losing connection. Awesome. Thanks Kano.

it's ok for me! it went to back-up pool some time ago. now is ok, for like last hour or something Bad thing with the NiceHash is that the rental order doesn't have a backup pool. Also you get penalized a bit for a disconnection from the pool. Good thing is that it pause the order until the pool is up, so you don't spend any money until then.

Yep another attack just hit.
Kano, any chance to move faster with the DDOS tweaks you were mentioned earlier?

Pool is down again here Same here. NiceHash is disconnected...

kano and ckpool down?
Update: Failover has been triggered. This includes the sg node and us node. Anybody can reconfirm?
Yep a DDoS attack. Effective for about 40 minutes. It's still on going but next to no effect on the pool any more. Pool is back up to 8.8P at this point. I was mentioning in IRC about working on more mitigation of this sort of issue tomorrow ... looks like they got in a day early. Anyway, mining is all back ok again (for about 25 minutes now) Kano, could services like CloudFlare or similar help against DDOS attacks?

kano and ckpool down?
Weird, my NiceHash order goes red too.... Something bigger is in play... EDIT: Of course that will happen if the pool is down.

I'll see what I can do.
Thanks Zach.

Zach,
Can you update email notification that the Hash rate is down to let's say once every 15 minutes, or only once. In addition, will you be able to send the email once hash rate go above X speed as well. Only one email will do.
This will help miners with rented rigs.
Thanks
