1  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Miner Pro / Mining Pool on: January 03, 2016, 07:55:23 PM
I was going to try cloud mining with hashnest but it seems like they are sold out of S7.  Also not sure if I would want to spend more than $100 on playing around for educational purposes.  I am open to ideas about the best way to play around with minimal investment if ROI isn't important to me.

So I'm trying this Miner Pro app on my phone just so I can get my feet wet and learn a little by doing.  I was just wondering what would be a good pool to get set up with.  I'm guessing that I would be best setting it up on scrypt mode and mining LTC, DOGE, etc but wasn't sure if there were certain pools that are better for this?  Any help would be appreciated.

Are you saying you are trying to mine on your phone?  If so very bad idea... you are going to push your phone and it will get hot most likely it's not designed for 24x7 being pushed.

GPU and CPU mining are done it just does not make enough money.  I suggest looking into asics if you truly want to mine, and look at BTC mining as it is best to start off with I think.

I probably won't be running it 24/7 but I just wanted to try to accumulate at least some kind of coin before I invest in anything.  So far my phone is mining at 2,400khs/s seemingly without getting hot.  I'm also doing this on Eligius pool and not sure if it will ever payout anything at this rate.  I'm still very new to this and really just wanted to play with it and learn something more so than try to make any money.  I figure I'm just trying to get a cheap education.

Noob question.  Trying to log onto hashnet to check it out and it wants a trade pin.  What is that?  Sorry in advance for my lack of knowledge, I tried searching but with no luck.

I'm mining Ethernum and i use two AMD R9 270, in one month I get 57 US dollars

He said he was using two so that should be about right.

Lmao, there is a lot of IFs to the situation but YES she's hot!!!  IF her body matches her face then she is at least a 7 or 8 I don't care who you are.  That again of course is IF she doesn't have a penis.  I would say there is at least a slight chance she's a tranny.  As long as that checks out she is definitely still hot.  She looks much better in the 2nd and 4th pic with less makeup and does look kind of fake but I wouldn't kick her out of bed.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbetting tips: How to bet? on: January 03, 2016, 03:14:04 AM
There was some pretty good advice here.  The best was probably don't bet.  It's also the least fun.  Great advice would be to take Clemson to win outright over Bama.  Pays roughly 2.5 to 1 and will be great when Watson curbstomps Nicky Satan!  Don't bother with the line.

Build your own trust list. Use DefaultTrust for a little bit. As you interact with the community, find the people you think are trustworthy and build your own trust lists. As you do that, also build your own ignore list. You can start with DannyHamilton's list here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=973843.0. It includes pretty much everyone that wears a sig ad (which unfortunately includes me) since most people with sig ads will spam. As you interact with the community, build your own ignore list.

Thanks, that was pretty helpful even though you have a sig ad lol.

Cloud mining is really just going about the marketing all wrong.  What they need to be selling you on is sure you might only be getting half of your money back if you were to sell you cryptocurrency now but what if you hold it.  From what I gather nobody really knows exactly what is going to happen with it.  If you look at BTCs history you can easily see where once upon a time it was probably the most profitable investment anyone ever made as far as ROI%.  What they need to be selling you on is an easy way to accumulate these coins for a fairly cheap wager.  I've bet more than $65 on plenty of football games.  If someone wanted to sell me on accumulating a little of this for $65 just in case it blows up, I'd probably be game.  What's the worst that could happen?

I unfortunately just recently started looking into BTC and ALT coins and while there is a ton of information here it is hard for me to discern good info from bad.  It seems like a lot of the things people post are either ads or sarcastic comments to steer people away.  Any tips on who to trust?
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: January 02, 2016, 04:43:30 AM
I didn't earn any but I read a lot about it.  I'm guessing that this late in the game my best way to earn BTC is by posting on message boards?
