Actually UdemyDL already shows the download speed.
You'll see it as the last column on the right hand side of the "Console" window (UdemyDL has the main panel where you put in your download links and the separate "console" window that displays more detailed download statistics of each file in the course.)

Still works well even today.

I'd highly recommend connecting with KrejsX on Skype to get a much quicker response (especially when he's awake, Australia's GMT +11). Ping him with your forum name and PayPal transaction number (so he can cross-reference your receipt) and he'll sort you out directly over Skype (he'll generate a license key for you and send you the authorization link to download UdemyDL (currently on v0.0.8 )

I'd have liked the Project Files and Resources to some of these courses as well, however (I think) because they're put in a different location to the rest of the course files on Udemy's servers, it's not possible to grab them. If you really need them, you'll have to buy the course. But if you can replicate from the videos or you don't need them them that badly (and there's usually a way around the files you may not have), this tool is the best out there bar none.

Been a happy customer for the last few weeks, and even if you have a couple of courses that give you trouble, usually just trying to get them later does the trick. Even though the project files would be nice, it's the education in the videos that's the main attraction.


[edit]: Yeah, sorry buddy , UdemyDL grabbed everything BUT the Project Files for your Blender course. If you really need them that badly, best I can suggest is wait for another low cost Udemy sale. BUT if you STILL want to learn Blender WHILE you're waiting for the sale, then GET this tool NOW while it still works and EDUCATE yourself! (Confirmed UdemyDL can grab this course )

I think sultan22 is wondering if UdemyDL captures video subtitles as well. (as far as I've seen it doesn't...)

Relax there buddy. Remember KrejsX's in Australia, big time zone difference for a lot of people.

As far as email goes, if for some reason you can't reach him by email (and it can happen sometimes), just connect with KrejsX over Skype. Quick, painless, and immediate response (when he's at his PC). When you add him as a contact, mention your forum name so he knows it's you, he'll help you out.

I understand your frustration, you wanna join the party too ^^. But no need to kill the party for everyone. Just use the side entrance.

It's still working (3+ weeks after purchase).

The 2 different script errors you're hearing about in this thread are happening, but they also happened with this ripper's ancestors. Also, it's only happening for a small percentage of the courses available on Udemy, that I've experienced so far at least. Most courses download with no problem.

I'm not sure why, but it seems like a few specific courses have been packaged in a way that UdemyDL has trouble reading, at least first time or when they're part of a long list. (That's my best guess based on my experience at least.) I believe the problem's more to do with Udemy's side and not so much with UdemyDL's, but there could be some tweaking that KrejsX could do that might help. (Or not, we'll see.)

In case you get either of these errors (while KrejsX investigates) while trying to get a course, in my experience what sometimes works for me is to load each of the "problematic" courses one at a time in UdemyDL.

If I load UdemyDL up, copy-paste and download only one URL, then sometimes it goes through and downloads the course (when before, when it was part of a list, it would hit an error). I'd say this works roughly 60% of the time for me. Just keep the URLs of all the "problem" courses in a separate notepad, and try each one of them one by one.

However, there are just some courses, a very small handful (out of 30,000) but still, that are "stubborn" and you just can't rip right now. (I feel for you guys, there's a few courses I can't get no matter how many times I try.) For those... thank God for Udemy's $10 sales.

[edit]: One other thing: I've noticed also that UdemyDL performs best when you take breaks in between downloading courses. I've noticed what feels to me like, spamming Udemy's server continuously with download requests tends to initiate "cooldown" times on your IP. Knowing this might help you get encourage your problem courses to go through too.

1. This tool still does its job really well.
2. To date, it's the best of its kind.
3. It's available to purchase right now for a low price. (for who knows how long...?)
4. It can rip (I'd say) at least 96% of the courses available on Udemy (as of this post, 31/01/16)
5. it can even resume downloads that got interrupted
6. For the problematic ones, you have a solution that may help the process (otherwise just deal and be grateful with what you can get. )
7. If you want to empower yourself with high quality training, but can't afford to buy all the courses your heart desires, this is an ideal solution for you.

Just some quick feedback for you all:
This UdemyDL ripper is the real deal.

It's a superior version to the now-dead "Udemy Ripper Unlimited" from ollierex, has all the features AND the ability to select between video resolution (ollie's only had SD and HD). Got in touch with KrejsX over Skype, made the PayPal payment ($20 if you can "gift" from PP, $21.88 if not), and promptly got the UdemyDL software and the license key. (Those who wish to pay with BTC, you should know there's a 10% discount. $2, but still )

Upon starting the software up, it asks to enter your license key (only once) and then brings up an interface where you can either copy-paste the URLs of the courses you want to study, or load a stored list of Udemy course URLs from a text file. Select what assets you'd like to download for all courses in the list (video, PDF, MP3, quizzes, etc), the resolution of the videos to grab, and press "Start Download".

UdemyDL will create a new folder for each course in the list, with properly named files and folder structures (chapters).
It works like a charm, I set about 20 links to go earlier today and they're all done.

You can feel comfortable purchasing from KrejsX, he's fast, friendly and fairly prompt (given the time difference in Australia ^^).
I suggest those who wish to learn from Udemy, get this ripper ASAP and get what you can while there's still the opportunity.
