I call $10k by 2016, but if we keep rising 10 times per year it will be a lot sooner than that. Even so, I locked in my prediction here: 1 Bitcoin will be worth at least $10,000 by 12/31/2016 http://betsofbitco.in/item?id=1532OP, lock in your prediction somewhere else; http://betsofbitco.in/item?id=1532 is dead. Hope you didn't lose too much. I only lost 1 bitcoin. No biggy. Only starts getting bad if you're actually right, and BTC hits $10k by the year's end. That was a betting site, right? This bus gonna cost 75.000 satoshis in the next 10 years  Horribly drawn line art bus is free today. Still neutral about the bitcoin price in the next days, i don't see/feel there will a huge movement right now but who knows  Yeah, looks like both OP and I blew it & gonna ride the bus, I'll have a comfy seat tho, I'm only off by $73, he's off by $127 |

What a spectacular crash! Down, down, down from a towering $660 $680 to a measly $650 $645.  Everyone was expecting the price to shoot up. Imagine if on your birthday, instead of getting presents from your friends, they show up and steal your money. Not much, just a tenner each, only $40 total, but still. . . 679.90.....say what now ? Huh? Price right now is $666.49. Lower than it was minutes before teh Halvening. And now it's days after teh Halvening. Disappointing  * Disapoiting? Buddy look at the price a month ago! Halving is a long run process, it's not because the halving day happened that is has to suddenly happen! There is no logical reason for that! If I knew the price was gonna be this limp after the halvening, I would've sold a month ago, at 790, instead of waiting for the price to tank to 666, buddy. Why is this so hard for you to understand? |

< $600 within a week. May I ask on what you base this assumption that price will drop? Because every charts, market tendencies and price analytics say otherwise. Huh? Reality: Bitcoin price down over $100 on results. Talk about disappointment. The Halvening pump is over. Halving happened, and btc price still over $600 (to be exact $645). Your prediction failed Op. OP got 5 hours left. Plenty of time for sub-$500 nosedive. It seems that the bitcoin price is holding very well. The price is still above $600 at the moment. Did you short it? Like a boss, got out @~$625  How about yourself? i dont think that it was a good decision to get out at such a low price because in my opinion the price is soon going to start growing at a very rapid pace and make me some good money Why? You don't like making money? Plenty of people went long, just like you, "this halving's a sure thing." Now there's like 40 mil. $ of longs on BFX alone I don't think that's what users above you trying to say. ofcourse he like making money. Everybody wants money. He's just pointing out that the price will increase after we hit halving event. That's what people have been saying about the "halving event." The "halving event" happened, price didn't go up. Dropped, if anything. Market is dead, volume lowest I can remember, so no "panic buying" people were promising. Why would the price go up? |

But somehow! Price isn't fall. Its just stable on 600$ and more. I think This itself a good news for the bitcoin users.
Everyone was waiting for the price to skyrocket, the price only fell a little bit, and it's "good news"?  |

Halving is not a profitable, OP. No i cannot agree with you in my opinion, i think that the price is going to go up pretty soon, in this way i would be able to make some good money like all the other investors How much do you think we need to wait do you think, takingthis4 trickshot22? I was told to wait until halving, now you tell me I got to wait some more?
I think halving is going to be profitable after few months. As we are seeing it today that halving is not something to do for profit today. But as of now we just need to wait for it and hope that it is going to be profitable after all. So everyone who told me not to sell until the halving was just leading me on? Now I have to "hodl" for another 2 months? |

Remember that this thread was opened seven months ago, and many things have occurred these last months and the current conditions on the bitcoin world have greatly changed since then.
At this moment I can't foresee a bearish trend because in any case, the irrelevant behavior of bitcoin after the halving had been the proper occasion to see a sharp drop, but it not occurred, so I think this was the confirmation of a bullish trend.

Damn, all those people that tried to short and hasn't bough back in already must be really mad.
If by "mad" you mean "mad about not selling @$1,200 a few years ago," then I guess. Making $30 per on teh halvening drop wasn't too bad, meh. |
