1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to 80$ on: November 26, 2018, 08:20:40 AM
Chances seem to be like that because the price of ETH already touched the value of 100$ and which it is very close to 80$ market. I think people never expected this much huge downfall both in terms of BTC and ETH.

Even if it touches $80, it will bounce very quickly.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining performance of Nvidia RTX 2080 Series on: September 14, 2018, 10:39:06 AM
Given current ETH price ($175), we are better off keeping the RTX 2080 for gaming  Cry

The ETH price is $200 now, but it is still better not to mine with the RTX 2080.
3  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-06-20]Tether Review Claims Crypto Asset Fully Backed – But There's a Catch on: June 21, 2018, 08:11:17 AM
"On that date, the law firm said, it is "confident" Tether had more money in the bank than tokens in circulation (specifically, $2.55 billion of U.S. dollar reserves, held at two separate institutions, to cover $2.54 billion USDT). But the report says nothing about the level of collateralization on any date before or since.

In other words, it doesn't purport to show that USDT has been consistently secured over time – or that it is fully backed today."

I think it is good enough.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: May 11, 2018, 09:13:47 PM
0,06125 in mid of October  Cheesy Grin Shocked Roll Eyes Cool Wink Smiley

But my fresh fiat is aimed at XMR.  Why XMR?  Partly because I sold some late last year and the fiat is currently wasting away in the bank, but mainly because by the autumn I think anything bought now or lower is at at least a 50% discount to what I think we will see by this autumn.

My fresh fiat is also directed towards XMR. The XMRBTC just dipped below the 200 day MA, and has been historically a very smart buy anytime it is below this level.

That is a good position. I know somebody is selling ZEC for XMR at the moment as the later is more ASIC resistant.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BITMAIN was mining ETH in their farms ! BITMAIN Is killing GPU miners on: April 08, 2018, 10:38:29 AM
What is the attitude of ETC community towards the ASIC mining? If they change the PoW, I will support them.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080 Ti mining OC and power? on: February 24, 2018, 04:52:24 PM
Memory DOES make a difference on equihash - though not a big one on the 1080 ti.

On my Aorus (not the extreme), I found that +100 core +100 memory was the best setting for speed/efficiency that was stable - +150 memory gave a few more sol/s but wasn't long-term stable as those cards seem to push the memory pretty hard already, +200 memory gave me LOWER sol/s probably because it pushed the card up into the next "strap" range with higher latency settings.

50% TDP (125 watts) gave 505 hash - don't bother this is a waste of the card.
60% TDP (150 watts) gave 620 hash - this seems to be the best efficiency point that still has decent hashrate.
70% TDP (175 watts) gave 680 hash - efficiency dropping but not a LOT yet
80% TDP (200 watts) gave 725 hash - efficiency dropoff getting noticeable
 90% TDP (225 watts) gave 760 hash - ditto
100% TDP (250 watts) gave 780 hash - waste of power unless you have VERY VERY cheap power, and even then it's a bit iffy - though the cards still runs pretty cool at this setting as long as it's NOT in a hot room.

Other cards may vary, though all of the cards I have to date (1 Gigabyte Windforce, 1 EVGA SC, pair of Aorus) all seem to match nearly identically up to about the 80% point, then the EVGA and Windforce start dropping a bit as temp doesn't let them boost the core as much.

I also found 60-70% TDP is best.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to go up or down? on: November 11, 2017, 07:21:30 PM
i hope Ethereum goo high...

Most altcoins are higher now.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash (ZEC) price keeps falling, whats your opinions? on: October 04, 2017, 03:52:35 PM
My opinion is change all your zcash or any other coin you have to eth very fast cause eth is about to break and hit 0.5 btc in few days. It might go higher than that. Thank me later and don't forget to thank me.

I think it is better to keep the ZCash now, the price is quite low at the moment.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates? on: September 08, 2017, 02:58:15 PM
I have tried Vega64 Sapphire but mining speed is not stable, Eth starts from 34 and drops to 22 after 30 minutes .

Something is not right - are you temps VERY high?
I can do 22-27 at -30% power (I am running it as much underclocked as I can to get that number - 985core/500mem)

What is the actual power usage? Will that be more efficient than RX 580?
10  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What would you like to buy? on: July 02, 2017, 06:36:12 AM
I would like to buy daily using things like Grocery things, clothing, Eatables and many things I want to purchase using bitcoins. Already I use to purchase things in online using Purse.io synced wallet to get electronic and mobile accessories. I could not find any shops accepts bitcoin in offline I am expecting that to come soon in my city.

That is right. When the rootstock is ready, the transaction will be much faster.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080 Ti mining OC and power? on: April 25, 2017, 06:47:42 AM
Here are my numbers for my 1080 Ti with +100 core +450 memory

Lyra2REv2 70.88 MH/sec
Decred 5.043 GH/sec
LBRY 0.516 GH/sec
Equihash 709 SOL/sec
Pascal 1.873 GH/sec
X11GOST 22.1 MH/sec

I have an agressive fan curve set and my temps are mid 60's at the moment. One of my 1080 Tis is a hybrid and another is on a mining rig in the garage with very good ventillation.  My TDP is set to 100 on all cards

The Decred speed is quite low.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to go up or down? on: March 20, 2017, 10:09:58 AM
I think it ll go down a bit before next pump. But for long time period it ll go up for sure

That could happen. It has already risen quite a lot and needs some breath.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to go up or down? on: February 28, 2017, 06:51:53 PM
Ethereum is making a slight comeback, I actually think it looks decent as a long-term investment.

Zcash hype is dying down and people are realizing that ETH is here to stay, I think.

I noticed the ZEC has risen over 30% from recent lows.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: February 25, 2017, 11:19:12 AM
Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin.
No one will offer services for Bitcoin.
Spend Your Bitcoins.

Sorry but cannot follow you. If the value of bitcoin increased every day and even is told that this value will have big figures in the near future, for sure, I will hold bitcoin. I am not rich to play with money but buy or hope to earn bitcoin to earn money and to have profit. I cannot send away this profit. And not only me I think.

If you store bitcoin that value will become stagnant and wont gain profit unless you invest it like in altcoin tradings which gains profit as you go a long way of your bitcoin investments.

This is true but the most people think holding tghe bitcoin itself is profitable what is it but this is because of other investors most of the time.

It is better to hold most and use some.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to go up or down? on: January 04, 2017, 04:56:43 PM
yes, it will go up at 10$ then it stops and sideway.
I will buy more eth if this price is under 8$ again.
good luck to Eth holders.

It might not go below $8. It is over $10 now.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Different brands Reference Rx 480. Vastly different power consumption/VDDC on: December 21, 2016, 10:48:51 AM
Yes I did. The only difference in polaris bios editor was core clock speeds and idle mem clocks. Even core voltage is exactly the same.

Polaris BIOS Editor is a piece of shit. It's not going to tell you the ACTUAL voltages, including offsets.

What program is capable of this?

A hex editor - along with knowledge of how the VBIOS is laid out.

Not many people have that kind of knowledge.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Different brands Reference Rx 480. Vastly different power consumption/VDDC on: December 18, 2016, 01:54:36 PM
With the lowering profitability of mining, I'm taking a second look at power efficiency and notice my XFX reference cards uses way more power than my MSI/Asus reference Rx 480 8gb.

Here's a screenshot: http://imgur.com/a/H0eQt
4 Rx 480 8gb reference cards, one MSI, one Asus, 2 XFX. Msi and Asus were bought in August, XFX last month.

Settings: 1625 straps
Core clock: 1015mhz
Core voltage: 800mv
Mem clock: 2000mhz
Mem voltage: 860mv
1625 mem strap copied to 1750 and 2000.

About 26.8Mh/s on ETH each.
Taken from GPU-Z,
65 - 70W power consumption on MSI and Asus reference Rx 480 8gb.
83 - 88W power consumption on Xfx reference Rx 480 8gb.

The cards are running the same settings, however the XFX cards uses way more power and has 0.05V higher VDDC than msi and asus cards.

When set to -30% power limit, the XFX cards throttle while the Asus and MSI cards do not. Does anyone know why the XFX cards uses more power, and if there's a way lower VDDC/power usage to be in line with the MSI card?

Alternatively, can I flash my MSI bios to the XFX cards since they are all reference Rx 480 8GB cards?

Any advice is appreciated, thanks guys.

That just because the XFX cards use higher default voltage. You can reduce that and the power consumption is the same.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: November 27, 2016, 06:44:30 PM
Not really it's against bitcoin because Satoshi had not set any rules and regulations while creating and launching bitcoin so we have full freedom of our money. We can even hold our money or use it for online transactions

That is right. However, if we do no use the bitcoin, the bitcoin is useless. So it is not valuable. The price will not rise.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: November 21, 2016, 02:36:59 PM
If will dont store then its worthless because from elementary economics we learnt that for anything to be money then it must "store of value" I.e we should be able to store it and even in the common sense way how will it be interesting if there is no forces of demand and supply playing out on Bitcoin if some people didn't hold and create artificial scarcity then increase its value and do otherwise then decrease it value and that is the beauty of Bitcoin.

It is better to save most of the bitcoins and use a small proportioin of coin. So the circulation will raise the price.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: October 25, 2016, 05:02:18 PM
Storing of bitcoins is against bitcoin? Honestly i dont understand what is your trying to say.

But storing bitcoin is really a bad idea, why? Because we dont know when the time would it fall down, maybe sooner or later.

Would you mind to share your thoughts?

What he said is that we should use the bitcoin as a currency. That will make the bitcoin useful and give its value.
