2  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CoinLenders Lawsuit on: December 06, 2013, 12:37:31 AM
I am starting to think that Chinese mobsters moving in is the biggest threat to both TF and the remaining coins right now :-/
3  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 23, 2013, 09:52:43 PM
TF has not responded to my email for 3 days so far. Which address do you guys use to communicate with him? Thanks!
4  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: November 08, 2013, 08:20:40 PM
I think the people that are asking for government / legal intervention are ruinous to the bitcoin community. If you want to live in a place where there are no risks and progress is slow, why bother to venture into the bitcoin world? Aren't you sufficiently happy with the damage you've done in the real world?

There are a bajillion ways to improve the bitcoin economy to make this less likely in the future. Contribute! If you're only capable of requesting the use of direct, uninitiated force against, then... well.. don't.

What will happen to the integrity of the protocol as the majority of its users think we need a safety net to protect victims of carelessness?

Wise thinking. My respect, sir.
5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Bitmessage - P2P Messaging system based partially on Bitcoin on: August 11, 2013, 08:08:04 AM
I have managed to get PyBitmessage running on TAILS 0.20. However, registering on bitmessage.org forum or wiki does not seem to work, so I will put it up here.

I admit that I do not understand what I am doing, so the hack is ugly. I would be grateful if somebody more experienced cleaned it up. Please feel free to repost it anywhere else, if you feel like it.

It is kinda long, so I have put the plaintext instructions on several servers: http://hastebin.com/raw/weqiqafiha , http://chopapp.com/#huue4bxx and http://pastebin.aquilenet.fr/?8f797db5077ba427#9KLEWbjBOzaqWo52qcMc8jyl3jM60dhrkulLgjNtKtI= .
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lemon - defaulted loan on: June 25, 2013, 05:42:06 PM
For the record, the text consists of messages such as "So how is <Location> hospital?" - people discovering the hospital after deciding to dig in to a posted image is nothing short of fucking creepy.

I am no part of this nonsense and urge trolls to keep away from hospitals, irrespectively of Lemon being in one or not.
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: crypto.pm | an upcoming cryptocurrency exchange on: June 18, 2013, 07:14:13 PM
Please see this scam accusation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237537 .

Please check this scam accusation https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237537 before using the escrow's services.
9  Economy / Scam Accusations / Lemon - defaulted loan on: June 18, 2013, 07:11:07 PM
I've given Lemon a 12 BTC loan on April 28th, 2013 (tx https://blockchain.info/tx/9627f386eded9d55cb2c522f6e676c5184da5b014e09e3f44e006633cfee5809 ). One payment of 0.36 BTC has been done on May 9th (instead of by May 5th as per the agreement). The loan should have been repaid (13.44 BTC in total; 13.08 BTC outstanding) by May 26th, 2013.

Lemon has come up with various reasons for not being able to access his wallet. I consider them irrelevant.

Our last communication (email message) happened on June 9th, 2013; Lemon promised to pay before June 16th, 2013.

Lemon is involved with crypto.pm https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=176756 and escrow.pm
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=188727. I will post a link to this accusation on these threads too, as well as inform Lemon by email.

GPG-signed loan agreement follows.

-- Agreement text --
http://bitcoin-otc.com/viewratingdetail.php?nick=Lemon

I'd like a 12BTC loan, 12% interest with a four week payment term. Principal interest to be paid weekly (1.44BTC), with the last interest payment (week 4) to also include return of principal (12BTC).

10  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Kenilworth Exploration - Real World Mining Opertunity with Bitcoins on: June 08, 2013, 10:33:12 AM
Look maybe I'm just a bit sceptical; I've had plenty of experience in exploration co's here in oz and personally know some senior exploration people, so it's just my 2 satoshi's. Good luck though, I hope you do well from it.

Why are you sceptical then? Let's see if I can make a hierarchy of accusations:

1) Do you think they are not the real Kenilworth company, just a bunch of
impostors trying to steal our coins?

2) Do you think they have faked the SRK report and partnership with Thomson?

3) Do you think that the SRK report should not be trusted, as they have
not visited the site?

4) Do you think that even though the right minerals are in the ground, the
Kenilworth team is not skilled enough to profit from them?

Of course, there are many other ways this can go wrong. However, as long
as all of these questions have a firm 'no' for an answer, I am willing to
invest in this company.
11  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder][RTM] Rastamine - 126 Gh/s perpetual mining bond on: June 03, 2013, 06:07:44 PM
Could have something to do with a new mining bond just IPOed on the exchange.
12  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Piper: A paper wallet generator and printer - Project Update on: May 20, 2013, 08:27:44 PM
Great project!

Will you ship worldwide - can we preorder it with certainty?
13  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: May 02, 2013, 09:40:28 PM
Hi!

Could somebody tell me what the relation between SD profits and its dividends on MPEx is?

Looking at what dooglus posted
     +1166.55910974    2013/03/31
      +3760.48177700    2013/04/30
and what shows up on MPEx
Quote
445.08812214 BTC on 05-04-13 Per share: 890 satoshi.
1`795.55981337 BTC on 02-05-13 Per share: 3591 satoshi.
I don't see the connection too clearly, as the ratio has changed : 445 / 1166 is not 1795 / 3760  Huh

Thanks in advance!
14  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Difficulty after BFL on: May 02, 2013, 08:58:13 PM
My totally unmotivated guess therefore is 100 times today's difficulty at the end of the year.

Today it is
Quote
20:52 <jim667> ;;diff
20:52 <gribble> 1.0076292883418716E7
and thus we will have 1E9 at the end of 2013.
15  Economy / Lending / Re: (New) CoinLenders :: Get bitcoin loans, and earn interest on your deposits! on: April 21, 2013, 08:28:13 PM
When trying to change my password, I get the "Passwords do not match or are less than 8 chars." error. I am sure that my passwords are way longer than 8 chars, and I tried a couple times to be sure they match.  TradeFortress, could you please look at it?
16  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: coinjedi / betsofbitco.in SCAMMERS: Declares "Push" on obvious win for BFL bet on: April 20, 2013, 09:05:17 PM
Dear coinjedi / betsofbitco.in,

There are more similar bets that are possibly not up to your legal standards, having to do with the same topic. Two examples with the highest amount of coins are http://betsofbitco.in/item?id=1444 and http://betsofbitco.in/item?id=665 . It would be super cool if you could give us 5 minutes of your time and choose one of the two actions:

1. Refund all the coins to everybody, in case you think that the text in the aforementioned bets is such that the outcome is impossible to decide.

OR

2. Confirm that these bets are decidable.

Thank you in advance,
Jim
17  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders :: Get bitcoin loans, and earn interest on your deposits! (new) on: April 20, 2013, 03:38:24 PM
TradeFortress, any plans to add HTTPS? Now the passwords can be easily sniffed (or am I wrong?), not exactly the best solution for something that deals with coins Smiley

Google authenticator explicitly relies on a separate device to generate codes meaning I cannot use the same pc, right? This is a problem for anonymity lovers, like me. Basically, I cannot use the site now.
18  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: April 20, 2013, 02:44:40 PM
What is there to understand? don't you send a bet to a Bitcoin address? the betting system relies on Bitcoin network only. The satoshidice.com frontend website serves only to see some stats and to copy down the betting address, which is also available elsewhere like blockchain.info

Right, so your explanation is that people typically write down their favorite Bitcoin addresses and monitor the blockchain for the outcome. I would have expected S.DICE was a more mainstream thing for impulse gamblers,
as in find satoshidice.com, buy bitcoins, bet them, repeat.
19  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: April 19, 2013, 11:38:46 PM
So can somebody explain to me, how come that the bets kept on flowing even with the domain down (that's a fact, right?)? DNS caching? Are there alternative routes to using this service besides satoshidice.com?
20  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: April 17, 2013, 09:37:37 PM
It's still down?
It definitively is up for me!
