Hi,

Well basically what is the best way to ask people to donate and then to show the money  moving to Neung's mum and what is the best way for me to put up some sapphire's for sale ?

Thanks

PS they have bank accounts I am interested in trying to get a few regulars that are interested send small amounts of bitcoin because there's no fees it makes small donations and small transactions so much easier then I can draw them out periodically and send the Thai funds to the family.

What are litecoins?

www.litecoin.org

I was put onto litecoin first and now am looking @ bitcoin. Bitcoin seems much more mature.

Thanks

Hi all,

I am a retiree living the life here in Thailand. I get a pension that back home wouldn't even pay for a decent house but here pays for a basic life and a few beers at the local oh and most importantly the monthly medical insurance! hahaha

A few of us here have gotten together and helped out a few of the less fortunate around here. Sometimes with money or a small loan sometimes with teaching some basic English or somewhere to stay for a short while.

One of the women we helped a few months ago (She needed to get back home to Nong Khai urgently and didn't have bus fare) has just paid back the bus tickets we bought her and explained the family emergency.

I really need to explain some things or things don't make sense. Firstly in Thailand foreigners can't own land. This girl (she's 40 but ..) named Neung which means 1 in Thai, is a Laotian. She has lived in Thailand since 1974 when her Father (a Laotian soldier allied with the US) and Mother escaped the communist forces. She speaks Thai, went through the entire Thai school system from primary school to high school yet is still classed as a refugee 38 years later. The family has a house adjacent to the Mekong river about 20km from Nong Khai that they built after leaving the camps. The land was sold to the Father and paid for over 20 years.

The father passed away about 4 years ago I think (I had never met him before he passed) but the Mother is still going strong. The problem as near as I can understand is that the land sale was never official because they could not transfer the land and relied on good faith. The Grandmother that was party(seller) to the deal has passed on and the children want the land. They have already bulldozed all of the area on the land and dumped sand except where the house is. Things are not looking good.

I would like to ask for small donations if people would like to help and I intend to sell some of my sapphire collection that I have amassed to help as well.

The help I need is how should I to structure things ?

What we do now is have a jar in the bar the we all put our change/donations into and I take it to the bank get a receipt and transfer it to Neungs mothers account and take both receipts in to show the guys. This works well because the jar attracts the attention of tourists that come (even when one of us aren't there, which isn't often haha) and they contribute as well.

Thanks

I like the service and have used a number of times.  I even included Step by Steps of how to use it in my eBook, Bitcoin Step by Step.  BTW it's free on Amazon today.

Ahhh free books are always a good deal.

Thanks
