1  Other / Beginners & Help / bitfloor BTC prices on: March 14, 2013, 04:55:12 PM
Hey All,

I know this is a real "newbie" question, but here goes . . .

When placing a BTC order on the bitfloor website, what would be a good price to offer so that the order goes through relatively quickly?

For example, is it safe to assume that if you offer to buy the coins at let's say .25 cents (USD) over the current "Last" price then the order will complete fairly quickly?

What about if you offer to pay just a few cents over the "Last" price, will that order execute fairly quickly too???

Sorry to come across as such a novice, but this whole Low, High, Last, Ask price thing has me confused?!?

Also, if anyone can offer some insight into the difference between Market & Limit orders that'd be great!

Obviously, I don't want to spend more for my BTC order than necessary.

Thanks in advance for any advice you might offer . . .

Hello Yankee,

I just attempted to execute a transfer from Dwolla to Mt.Gox and apparently the transaction has failed!

The funds were withdrawn from my Dwolla account, but weren’t transferred to my Mt.Gox account.

The same thing happened to me on my previous two transfers, but you guys sorted it out fairly quickly.

Please help.

Thanks,

Hey Everyone,

I am happy to report that my transaction finally went through!

It unfortunately took about 17 hours or so for them to straighten it out and get me my funds, but thankfully everything turned out okay.

Thanks to Charlie, Rachel, Seth, and the rest of the support crew over at BitInstant.

Take Care,

Excellent!  Excellent!  Excellent!  The transaction is all set now.   Grin

There may be a glitch happening, but you guys are certainly on top of a workaround!

I couldn't ask for better support/resolution!

Thanks SO MUCH for your help!

Take Care,

Hello Again Charlie,

Sorry to bother you again, but my subsequent transaction isn't going through either?!?

Again I get the message stating "Dwolla Failed Verification" then "Giving Up".

If you could help me out again and nudge this transaction along it will be greatly appreciated.

This time the Order ID is:   71292cc8-0f3f-4d90-8307-4b7e1c5427f8

Excellent!

Yes, I see the funds in my Mt.Gox account now!

Thank you so much Charlie for your prompt attention to this matter.

I'd also like to process another transaction today . . . Do you expect that it will go through okay or is there some glitch with the Dwolla > BitInstant process?

I'll give it a try and post here to let you know how it goes.

FYI, I have used BitInstant many times and the process has always been flawless and timely.

For that I offer much appreciation!

Thanks,

Very first post on this forum . . . hello all.

I'm having trouble processing a BitInstant transaction this morning as well.

I attempted to transfer from Dwolla to Mt.Gox and received the "Dwolla failed verification - unable to locate" then "Failed verification too often - giving up".

Of course the funds have already been deducted from my Dwolla account and now I'm freaked out about losing my money!

I've got a support request in, but I figured I'd post here too and hopefully this can be resolved ASAP.

My Order ID is:   92fc6a5b-ea6f-497b-81d2-e5df94b32135

Yankee please help . . . thanks!
