2  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Play-to-Airdrop (Worth it kaya?) on: April 17, 2024, 03:17:28 AM
Sky Mavis? But anyway, this is good news, dahil dati rin akong scholar ng axie infinity.

4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: February 03, 2024, 11:15:50 PM
My friends aunty called him on the call while we were conversing today, and  she was complaining about how her son has withdrawn #20,000 approximately $15 from her account through mobile transfer to play bet and he lost it all.
She complained bitterly and pitifully because she struggled to safe such amount of money.

Now, the mum is calling on everyone she could to intervene, discipline the child and force him to provide the money in any means he can without the concern of how he could refund the money.

Question: would she be so disheartened and mad as this if the son had won the bet on a multi million price?
Dear fellows, let's assume you are the mom, what would be your state of mind on this context?

It is a human nature to let go of a simple error if the result outweighs the error a million times.  Obviously, the reason why the mother gets angry is because the son stole the money and lost it to gambling.  In your given question, since the kid can give back the stolen money with interest,  I am sure even stranger will forgive the kid and will receive the money with a smile.  Probably that stranger can even hug the kid that gives back the money with huge interest.  What more if you are the mother, for sure the kid will probably give you the whole winning amount.  So is there a reason to get angry in such a situation that you asked?
It depends on the parent's perspective. Perhaps you believe that stealing money is a forgivable offense, or you are the type of parent who is quick to forgive their child for such a mistake. However, it is not good to easily forgive a child for stealing money at a young age because it may lead them to believe that it is acceptable to do it again in the future, as they can easily avoid facing the consequences.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: February 03, 2024, 10:31:27 PM
~snip~
So, if you simply approach someone who is addicted to gambling, there's a possibility for you to also do gambling? I don't believe that merely approaching an addicted gambler will put you in the same situation as them. It's more about how a person takes action and communicates with the gambler to make them understand their current situation. This is typically done by people who are trusted by the gambler.
This can happen if the person who approaches a gambling addict offers him or her the experience of gambling while the person who approaches the gambling addict does not have good self-control. If someone sees what a gambler does and can win from a gambling game, they will be curious and want to know what it's like to gamble. He will probably try it when he is home and visits the casino because he will remember the name of the casino site.

But if someone wants to help a gambling addict, they really need to communicate with the gambling addict so that they can understand the situation and can immediately help the gambling addict. But if gambling addicts don't want to admit the fact that they are addicted to gambling, it will be difficult for those who want to approach the gambling addict because the gambling addict will refuse to get treatment for their gambling addiction.
That's impossible. First and foremost, if someone is approaching an addicted gambler to talk to him about his current condition, experience, and how often he goes gambling. They are not going to the extent of engaging in a discussion about participating in gambling activities with the addicted gambler. Instead, they focus on resolving the issue and helping the individual overcome their addiction. It is unlikely that someone willing to help would become addicted to gambling simply by approaching the addicted gambler unless that person has ulterior motives.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction does more harm than mere financial loss on: February 02, 2024, 11:46:04 PM
True, gambling addiction does not only incur financial loss but also social losses.  Friends and relatives will keep their distance from a person who is addicted to gambling.  They will try to avoid these gambling addicts because they don't want to be pestered for borrowing money.  Aside from that being a gambling addict may result in lost credibility and being irresponsible.  So gambling addicts may also loss their family affection and eventually the partner may file a divorce or ask for separation if the partner wants to avoid the responsibility of taking care of the gambling addict.

These are the few possible losses a gambling addict may experience aside from money and losing jobs.
They will not want to approach someone who is addicted to gambling because they are worried that they will fall into gambling. But those who can control themselves well might approach someone who is addicted to gambling in an effort to make their friend aware of his gambling addiction and take him to a professional so he can cure his gambling addiction. This will depend on their concern as friends and their families must also be able to approach family members who are addicted to gambling so that they can cure their gambling addiction. Becoming a gambling addict will indeed make them lose responsibility towards themselves and the people around them, so they don't care about the presence of their family or friends anymore because they only care about their gambling activities.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another health benefit of online gambling on: February 02, 2024, 11:15:42 PM
Where are the health benefits there?! I don't see any health benefits stated in your topic; there is still the fact that your neighbour is still sick or still has the illness. It's just that you've found an alternative to playing gambling, which is online ambling. Yes, i it helps you to stop playing gambling, but what are the health benefits there? Still gambling, even at home? Isn't the person supposed to recover or focus on recovering and curing their illness? In your case, you consider online gambling to have health benefits just because you can gamble without going into a crowd? That's nonsense; your topic should be titled "Convenience of Online Gambling," because I don't see any health benefits related to it.

And also, do you think it's still best for an ill person to still gamble? Of course not. Instead of focusing on recovering, they will be stressed because they lost in gambling, so I think this topic is nonsense.
The point is, that OP prefers to do online gambling than going to a physical casino to avoid any contact with the other gamblers especially if you are in a condition the same as the person he is referring to. It's safer to play alone at home rather than going to crowded places to gamble, as it reduces the risk of contracting viruses or diseases. However, playing in a physical casino is still an option for those who prefer it, despite the potential risks.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: Having a regular/steady income is important as a gambler. on: February 02, 2024, 10:45:02 PM
For sure, but this is a weird thread. As it isn't really a gambler issue. This is a life-issue. Anyone, not only gambler shoud have steady income. Otherwise how can they plan ahead? How could they provide food and clothes or a rood over their head for their children. Not to mention if you need to gamble. If you don't have steady income, hardcore gambling should be furthest thing from your mind. Focus on getting a job, or any sort of secure income. Plan for the future and get an education.
I think the main point of OP is to highlight the issue of gamblers who continue to pursue their gambling habits even when they have no source of income or steady employment. This is a highly problematic situation, not only for their own financial stability but also for their family.

Only reason i can think of, for someone thinking they wouldn't need steady income is that they still live with their parents and get their food served and clothes bought. So they could play all their pocket allowance money.
It is possible, however, If they are already an adult and living with their parents, it is embarrassing to rely on the parents for someone when they can find a source of income and contribute to the family's daily needs.

13  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Taiko Node Tutorial on: January 20, 2024, 04:38:38 PM

thanks in advance sa sago.

Yung gamit ko now is nasa 77$ per month.
Salamat sa Update kabayan , Merit for that .

14  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Taiko Node Tutorial on: January 16, 2024, 04:34:23 PM

Code:
apt install git
2. Install Docker https://docs.docker.com/desktop/install/ubuntu/
https://docs.docker.com/engine/install/ubuntu/#install-using-the-repository

3. Clone ulit natin ito ang code
Code:
git clone https://github.com/taikoxyz/simple-taiko-node.git
cd simple-taiko-node
4. Copy the sample .env files
Code:
cp .env.sample .env
5. Iopen yung nano .env
Code:
nano .env
L1_ENDPOINT_HTTP=L1_ENDPOINT_HTTP=
L1_ENDPOINT_WS=L1_ENDPOINT_WS=

6. Start na natin ang node
Code:
 docker compose up -d

check niyo nalang using docker compose logs -f if nagsysync na siya or dito http://localhost:3001/d/L2ExecutionEngine/l2-execution-engine-overview?orgId=1&refresh=10s change niyo lang yung localhost sa ip ng inyong vps, if irequire kayo ng password at username, admin, admin lang yan.
15  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Taiko Node Tutorial on: January 16, 2024, 02:51:10 AM

1.
Code:
git clone https://github.com/dojonode/taiko-node-dashboard-docker
2.
Code:
cd taiko-node-dashboard-docker
3.
Code:
docker compose up
4. visit http://localhost:7744 to access the dashboard, palitan yung local host ng IP ng iyong VPS
5. Click on the 📡 button palitan yung local host ng IP ng iyong VPS

Happy New Year kabayan!

I'm glad to hear that you had a successful outcome from your gambling experience. I completely agree with your suggestion that it's not advisable to gamble the money won again. As a gambler myself, I know it's always better to be cautious since most gamblers who keep playing are likely to lose. However, sometimes the urge to bet again is too powerful to resist. At least you can control yourself, and I'm sure seeing your winnings can motivate you every day and give you more confidence for your next bet.
