3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El-salvador bitcoin investment is underwater on: July 04, 2022, 03:37:18 PM
Bitcoin Purchase Timeline of El Salvador

After a buying spree, El Salvador is now holding 2301 BTC at a $45,900 avg. price

The country's Bitcoin investment is underwater.

Bitcoin had its peak at $69k, then continuously went down for months in the drumbeats of negativity

BTC price > $45k: 271 BTC bought
BTC price < $45k: 910 BTC bought
BTC Roll EyesBTCBTC
nayibbukele kept buying more when the price plunged

El Salvador has come a long way on the journey to bring Bitcoin into people's daily purchase.
The country took numerous actions to realize the Bitcoin dream

While everybody is focused on the unrealized losses that El Salvador has on their #Bitcoin investment. They bought again in this dip.
I think they will not compromise their countries fund if they didn't know whats coming for them.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Will Not Devalue To Zero on: July 04, 2022, 01:39:43 PM
Ethereum is second to BTC, if whales wants to accumulate Bitcoin
for sure they want to accumulate ethereum as much. So I am not surprise if FUD is coming out for ETH to go down
as low as it can.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next ALT season year ? on: July 03, 2022, 12:24:28 PM
Guys,
What do you think on next bull season? When will it be?
Please share your thoughts on this 🙂

I heard speculations that the next bulls season will be in 2025 but I think it will come earlier than that. Crypto adaption has widely spread and the market has been more volatile and manipulated.
I think we cannot wait for 2025, I say 2023 can be a reversal year.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: WHY ITS SO POSITIVE THIS BEARMARKET. on: July 02, 2022, 02:41:50 PM
I honestly feel the same, many speculate that the next bull market will be in 2025 when the next bitcoin halving is scheduled but for me because of the mass adoption that happened during and after the pandemic
the rise of the NFT, and metaverse. I really expect that the bear season will not last long as expected but I also assume that the market will be very volatile and manipulated and the Bull season might be a short season as well.
But as long as the market goes up and down as it should be then it would be a healthy market.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Bitcoin Disappointed You ? on: July 01, 2022, 11:40:56 AM
Bitcoin has broken the all time high of 2017 and now it is around 19,000$. The worst part is that even on these level, we are not seeing any pumps and look like price may fall all the way to 10,000$ or even lower.
Once bitcoin was at 69,000$, who would have thought that bitcoin will go so low so fast ?  Now what do think, where we are in terms of bitcoin cycle. I think we are already in th bear market since summer of last year and maybe the bottom/ end of bear market is near ?

No Bitcoin did not do anything but open opportunities to earn, what disappointed me a lot was my attitude towards trading. Bitcoin reached its ATH and it should have given us all traders big or decent profits but greed took over me, I did not sell coz I wanted more and now bear caught me. Lesson learn
next time will never be this way.
8  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Stop Being Greedy. on: June 30, 2022, 12:46:30 PM
I've seen too many traders make a profit and then get GREEDY wanting more... then turn around ending profit into a loss. I’ve learned in bear markets is to do the OPPOSITE of what the majority of people do.
Don’t get greedy, learn from your lessons, don’t beat yourself up, and keep moving forward.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana survived the crash on: June 29, 2022, 09:18:43 AM
In the long run, the blockchain has proven to be a trustless technology that can work in the real world without a central authority. It has been tested and is getting stronger every day. No doubt it will all end on a decentralized network. Solana by design was not to be centralized. So if the government dumped big bucks they would have still survived and  There is no one word to describe the crash today. In my opinion, The project is dependent on all parties involved. I hope this will be the paradigm for all crypto projects in the future.

very well said, Their decision means no more trust in SOL as a decentralized chain.
Disrupting a blockchain in that way defeats the whole purpose of crypto currency’s
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest mistake in crypto? on: June 27, 2022, 12:56:19 PM
What have been your biggest blunders so far when it comes to cryptocurrency? We all know that how much volatile the industry is. And the things that made you regret your decision? Can you share your thoughts, guys?

my biggest mistake is not to take profit, I tend to be greedy and then watch my portfolio dissolve.
I lost a lot last 2018 bear and now I just did the same. Money management is really important.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can newbie become rich with trading on: June 27, 2022, 11:25:44 AM
Trading look like a hard to understand game and for any new person in trading making profits is always hard that is why am here to ask how can a newbie make profit trading coins and what manual can be followed.

I would likely to encourage newbies to start learning and connect with people with the same passion and interest.
keep on learning and also know how to manage your profits...
having the knowledge to have money is different from how you can save it and make it grow. Secure both.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to avoid crippling losses when trading? on: June 26, 2022, 02:04:31 AM
Hello everybody, here is an article about position sizing, and here is its quick summary(Full Article):

Position sizing is determining the correct size of the position based on the amount of money you risk on the particular trade.

Before you can do that, you need to figure out what is the maximum acceptable risk of the trade.

That risk is usually expressed as a % of your balance, that you are willing to lose.

To make sure you don’t lose more than this amount traders set a Stop Loss order which are the real maximum exposure of your position.

If you don’t use a stop loss, you are exposing your entire portfolio!

Where to put a stop loss?

  • That’s where Technical Analysis can be handy. Majority of retail traders would look at the chart to find out – usually behind some support/resistance level or based on some volatility indicator, such as ATR

Rule of thumb:

Risk between 1-3% of your portfolio balance on each position. This way any single individual loss won’t wipe your account and break your spirit. And more importantly, even a string of losses will leave you with enough ammunition to recoup the losses.

Have a clear approach to risk:

  • Set a risk limit for each trade, asset in general, day, week and month (you won’t risk more than X account)
  • Determine the right position size and start small
  • Increase the position size of trades slowly if your account grows
  • Lower size or switch back to paper trading if your account doesn’t

Two types of position sizing methods: Fixed and flexible

Fixed position size

  • Using the same position size for every trade
  • Good for finding out if your strategy has an edge
  • Make sure you come back and reevaluate position size periodically.

Flexible position size

  • Using a percentage of current balance
  • Cluster of wins makes every following win larger
  • Cluster of losses makes every following loss smaller

How to calculate the correct position size:

You need to know

  • Trading account size
  • Acceptable risk (in % per each trade)
  • Invalidation point (in form of a distance from the open price)

The formula:

Position size = Trading account size x Acceptable risk / Invalidation

Example:

  • Trading account size = $10,000
  • Acceptable risk = 1%
  • Invalidation point = 4% drop in market price

Position size = $10,000 * 0,01 / 0,04 = $2,500

This way you will always risk losing $100 no matter where your Stop Loss goes! If Stop Loss must be wider, say 8%, the calculation is:

Position size = $10,000 * 0,01 / 0,08 = $1,250

Doubling the distance to our stop loss has us reducing our position size by half to maintain the same possible loss.

How to set position size in the trading platform

  • Pick a leverage
  • Add a Stop Loss
  • Input the market price or the distance in % of the stop loss
    • Whichever value you enter first, that becomes the constant – element that won’t change when you edit other variables. You can select different constant by clicking the “target” icon
  • Input the Position Size or Margin size while watching the PnL of the Stop Loss
    • Increase or decrease the size of the position, until the PnL of the Stop Loss is at the level you want it to be

This way you can control exactly what your exposure is, while understanding all the variables involved. You can even add multiple Stop Loss orders, which can help you limit the exposure in lower conviction plays, such as new set-ups.

The next article will be about Stop Losses.

All of these are basic knowledge a trader must know and must apply,
the real challenge is to keep the discipline attach and not greed to take over.

WHY ITS SO POSITIVE THIS BEARMARKET.  Smiley

Well i made this thread to show to you why i feel confident in this bear market.

I feel so confident because we need this bear market and lets me explain why.

1-   We need to clean of the market all the shitcoins. We cant have a market with thousands of coins and tokens and the mayoriti of them only go up because the market its bullish. That its clearly not healthy.
2-   Clean the child and Young thoughts, i think the crypto world has a very childish way of thinking, lets see an example.

“Oh i buy that coin because Elon say”

“ oh i want to leverage per 1000 because i read in a web that token its to the moon”

“Take loans for a presentiment”

Take loans because the market is bullish and understimate the market.

How the fuck you can think in over 10000 coins all have to has value? WAKE UP.

Its like i said all the FIAT currencies has high value its a non sense.

3-   Clean all the corporations and new companies with this mindset. As i said, why we have to pay for idiots movements made by idiots. Like Terra (i know maybe its a Scam but lets take another point of view ). Or if the Celsius position if that was true.
4-   CLEAN the trading boys, and for me this its one of the most important things.
And when i said this im not saying you cant trade, but i refered to the boys who want to make money in short times and takes with they the childish way of thinking and also all the tricks of the traders. One of the worst its the “stop loss”. Because that tool produces a cascade in the Price, clearly affecting us when we are holding.

This tool make a ton of auto-sells if the Price go below and with that a cascade keep producing and the big player can make a huge profit and destroying the price.

After we pass this storm we can have a much better financial ecosystem in crypto.
A more healthy one, i thin the NFTs made a lot of damage to the ecosystem carrying with him more and more childish thinking boys. And this was a short Little of time after the another wave of damage received by the so called “play to earn”.

Again dont missundestand me, im not opposing against this things but yes against the wave of idiots they carry.

After this negative i show you some positives.

Every time we hit a bear market here in crypto always was a step ahead.

In the first nobody talks a loto f Bitcoin and was marginal.

In the second , small investors and some snoobs invest, and some press take an eye.

In 2018 we have more serious investors and more press coverage.

And now we have a lot more serious investor, companies, investment funds.

As you can see we are ever growning and now we are maturing, we keep growing but like a human now we reach some height and we are cleaning the body of all the shit we do in our adolescence.
In human terms, crypto market maybe has 25 years old.

Disclaimer: Sorry if my semantic its not good, im not a native speaker.
Disclaimer 2 : Im not a maximalist.

to make it simple, it's inevitable to have bear seasons and it's okay. It just proves that the crypto market is a healthy market.
nothing goes straight up and of course nothing goes straight down.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin become a global currency ? on: June 23, 2022, 09:23:16 AM
Bitcoin is widely used globally now but not legally mostly, though compared to fiat currencies
but I really hope it will be just like this I don't want legality to trigger tax on my trades  Grin
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Polygon (MATIC) to $20? on: June 22, 2022, 03:40:44 PM
I always go for blockchain projects. I also have a big belief about Polygon will do remarkable on the next Bullrun.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB or ETH ? on: June 21, 2022, 03:33:30 PM
The two have distinct advantages and there are a variety of variables to compare between ETH and BNB. However, in terms of transfer fees, I choose BNB because the transfer fees are cheaper, so it is more efficient.
this isn't talking about fees but about investment, meaning if ethereum has cheaper fees then you prefer ethereum? right? don't look from one point of view but look at the potential of the coin

In my opinion, transfer fees are a very important argument! If the fees on the Ethereum platform had not jumped so brutally, the BSC would never have reached the level it is at. I'm not saying Ethereum is the best, but PoS can change the balance of power in the crypto market a lot.

practically speaking you are very right. The fees in Eth network are insane compared to other blockchains. Smallholders and airdroppers usually get stuck
and some just prefer not using the network and switch to BSC ,Tron and Matic
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Altcoins Have Good Opportunities in the Next Year on: June 17, 2022, 08:46:42 AM
In the next year which altcoins are able to provide the best value in the market, given that so many altcoins have emerged that cannot be the best source to invest in, market conditions do not provide the best place for them at the moment.

Three months ago we were shocked by what happened to Dogecoin, suddenly the selling price rose so rapidly from the previous purchase price, this shows that there are events that people cannot predict regarding the condition of the altcoin itself, even though there was an increase in the price of Dogecoin at that time. , there is speculation from Elon Musk.

At least that's a solid reason why Dogecoin is rising so fast at a fairly high price, even though the main evidence hasn't been met for the actual occurrence.
Nowadays people are again hoping that other altcoins can follow in his footsteps, but there is no guarantee if we look at the current market conditions.

Which altcoin has the greatest chance of emulating Dogecoin's current state, is there any chance that other altcoins could take advantage of this in the future?
Doge market movements I can say are manipulated lately especially since Elon always tweeted about it.
For me, I believe in altcoins with their own blockchain and have fast transaction speed. I would suggest Matic, Solana, and Vechain.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The market is confusing on: June 17, 2022, 07:39:49 AM
Now the market is really in a difficult situation. You need to be prepared for different outcomes, and most importantly, understand the reasons for this situation.

yes, the market is extremely volatile these days. Crypto can be very confusing and difficult to understand especially for newer investors.
I am not new to crypto been here for 7 years but I admit I got caught with this bear.

It's a beautiful altcoin. I did the Bounty but I have not  been  paid yet. The method for KYC seemed tedious, I tried. I will write to them shortly.

Once again, it's a great altcoin.

I really like the project and the team behind this, that's why I also joined the campaign.
but sadly I did not receive my pay , the telegram link was now invalid so I have no one to address about this
now I see its not just only me, I hope the team notices this small misunderstanding and give importance also to bounty hunters efforts and support not to go to waste.
