Why is NXT, Ripple and Protoshares still on Coinmarketcap, Gliss could you please remove?
Also, please consider removing all coins with a market cap below $500k, as well as the second advertisement between 20 and 21 for a better overview.
NXT deserves a place because it is the first 100% proof-of-stake currency. Consider it an interesting experiment. |

I get a shitload of them suddenly!!  It means ur client gets incorrect responses from other peer(s). Nothing serious (for u). These errors should really be wrapped in a more descriptive exception. Looking forward to seeing the source. |

What's the true case?
First. But I have never seen any "mining", where can I find it indicating I'm mining? There is no "mining" in the regular sense with NXT. All coins are pre-mined; solving a block allows you to collect tx fees. To solve blocks, you must have some NXT in your account. Unlock the account and click the blocks icon in the UI. If you are up-to-date you will see a message "You can generate the next block in X" at the top. |

Why is my client blacklisting so many clients? Even well known ips.
It failed to connect to them. Remove them from the blacklist time to time. I've got 7874 open so I don't see why that's an issue. Also since I'm running it through a headless Linux shell I have no way of deleting the blacklist from the UI. Can you have it clear the blacklist periodically? Can't you connect via http? |

I had some thoughts about Nxt the last few days and what it would need to grow. this is my list:
offer pool mining
> otherwise small holders never gonna see any mining profit for their whole life
> also if some small miner suddenly finds a block and there is no transaction in it...
redesign the interface, clean&professional look (offer bounty)
> the interface looks pretty amateurish(childish) right now
offer an all in one client
> offer the browser part optional
create a documentation with screenshots for new users for the interface
> easier entry for new users
create a detailed documentation on important topics
> mining, transactions, etc.
change the login to ID + password if possible
> more security
create an exchange
> no more forum only trades (risk of scams)
Create a central website&forum, including a blog about latest developments etc.
> all information & news in one place, also better for promotion of the project, transparency
Clearly explain and lay out all the benefits Nxt has, compared to alts/bitcoin
> again should help to promote the project and shows transparency
I mostly tried to offer some ideas, maybe you find it helpful. its obviously only my personal opinion..
btw, im not an early investor, i only got something from giveaways. (just so you know my background in Nxt)
Seeing as we do not have the source (well you could decompile but it seems to be changing twice a day) I think we should consider NXT as undergoing public stress-testing. No need for a proper launch till critical bugs have been found by more tolerant early adopters. EDIT: I agree with your points though! |

1 NXT is fixed unless the client is modified. If NXT really takes off transaction fees will likely be more due to the 255 transaction limit per block.

The account list you gave totals to 1000000000, and so does my code. I was using a coin total of 1739068987193023818.

Correct. Hmmm I am at a bit of a loss then! I get lots or errors in the console running NXT when I make the API calls. Are they reliable yet? EDIT: Were the initial investors given coins as transactions in the genesis block? |

Thanks. Is there an API call to find all accounts with a non-zero balance? Official client doesn't have them, not sure about that blockexplorer. Other guy is developing it. I thought so. I have tried writing my own. It goes through each block (using "nextBlock") from the genesis and adds each account found in the transactions on the way. It then goes through each account to find the balance. When I add up the balances though, I only find 100000000000 coins. EDIT: Do I have the correct genesis block: 2680262203532249785 ? |

Why would anyone every spend more than 1 NXT on their transaction fee?
To support miners I believe. I paid tx fee from 10 to 100 each time to support the miners! Let's award them a bit more for securing the network for us:) But it's always the same miners (those with the highest balances) that get coins. You'd be doing NXT a bigger service if you sent NXT to random accounts from the block chain explorer whose balances are low. *cough* 15627247923681139826 *cough* |
