Also bybitcoin, kwest, abctc and anyone who is invested >1M, what about making a board or something, where we can communicate and discuss easily?

I think a certain coordination is needed until we get open source on 3rd January.

What did you have in mind? Something private, or would the board over at nextcoin.org work?

No need to be private at all, just to be sure that all stakeholders will be heard in big decisions like on when and how to open source the project etc.

EDIT: And some better management of bounties, giveaways, promotion...

- I think nextcoin.org is good place for that. Already regestered there.

Fine with me, except nextcoin.org still cannot be accessed over https. They should fix that.
Yes, I am also a >1M stakeholder.

...
I have just recalled BCNext said he would eat his hat if Nxt market cap didn't reach... how much in dollars did he say?

...
Nxt collected 1,500 USD worth bitcoins.  I'll eat my hat if in half a year they won't be worth a couple of millions.

Thx. We already crossed 10M$ mark.

A question on mining.

It's said that we need to wait ~ 24 hours (1440 blocks) to mine. So how to understand this 1440 blocks? For example, I got some coins input, and then after 1440 blocks I start the client and open my account, and then the mining is started, right?

Or, I should start the client and open my account, keep my computer running without shutting down, and then after 1440 blocks the mining is in effect?

What's the true case?

Thanks.

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

But I have never seen any "mining", where can I find it indicating I'm mining?

There is no "mining" in the regular sense with NXT. All coins are pre-mined; solving a block allows you to collect tx fees.

To solve blocks, you must have some NXT in your account. Unlock the account and click the blocks icon in the UI. If you are up-to-date you will see a message "You can generate the next block in X" at the top.

I received an extra 1 coin in my account and my blockchains not even downloaded and I haven't stayed logged in more than a few hours at a time. I presume that was mined I definitely wasn't sent it when I bought mine.

Actually, i dont think we should call it mining. because in NXT we dont mine anything, we just securing the coin network & its payments. And our reward is block Fee's. So we should not confuse it with formal mining in other coins (Since all the coins in NXT is already minted).

So excited. I got "You can generate the next block in XX hours".

What I mean is PoS mining.

Since Nov. 24, we have now ~ 6690 blocks, which suggests that the block chain generation is slower than 1440 blocks a day.  Why so big difference?

so if there were 10 bitcoins sent to the exodus address total than that would mean that he would have 100million next right? is that how that works? any idea where i can see how many coins were sent to the exodus address total?
