They put through my order to a bitcoin address a few minutes ago. I feel so filthy and dirty for using this service.

Logging your issue at bitinstant.com/contact gives no case number.  Please log your issue at bitinstant.com/contact

Thanks.

I seriously give up with you guys. I probably would be less annoyed if you told me the truth with what the issues are and made me wait another week. Instead I post here a few times and you transfer the funds quickly. It's not instant, it lacks totally transparency. Sometimes you win money and sometimes you loose, I'm not looking for a casino run by little kids.

24 Hours??? There is nothing on the Bitinstant site that says I would have to wait 24 hours to get my loot. If I would have known that I would have stayed far away from you guys as that is not the timeframe I was looking for. This is a bit much dont you think? Is there not anything that can be done to help me out? This was my first and probably last time using your service if this is the type of turn around time it takes.

There are many reasons an order can fail or be delayed and it's not always the fault of BitInstant.  If you provide me with some order info then I could look up your order and try to help you understand what is happening.  Thanks.

I post all my details above. Here is a link if you can not find it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=128314.msg1922950#msg1922950

Please can you explain what is the issue in my case and how many days longer it should take to process?

I just pushed your order thru to execution.  Sorry for any delays.

And in the meantime I had submitted on your site again. AND YOU ARE WRONG!!!! Right after you submit in the site system sends blank email that says the case number. Please learn your system, it is wasting for everyone time!!!

What is going on with the order? No reply from your contact form. No answer to your phone. The order is way overdue and you can't even tell me the truth about what is going on.... your dwolla account is suspended? You promise here days ago to process it manually but no further reply.

I will go and log it again. I already did this however and I wait since Thursday and now you say your system faces issues. So much for patiently waiting.

7  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has bitinstant stopped "scamming"? on: April 23, 2013, 07:23:47 PM
They're too busy making money off scamming to provide customer service.

Loosing money due to incompetence! I placed an order on their site and when it processed I received 2 emails at the same second from 2 different IP addresses. When I checked they also sent the transaction twice. So they doubled up on servers and didn't account for race conditions. Nice!

Another time their system failed "Order Status: Processed, API Response: Sorry your balance of $1.25 is too low)" and their support processed the payment twice within 5 minutes. And in this case the order status is not updated on their site, no transaction email.

And I let them know the issue and they don't even want their money back. So my conclusion is they are not out to scam anyone but just utterly incompetent.

how long does it take for a deposit to go through and to withdrawl ?

thanks
It used to be within the hour or less. Now they promise you within 24 hours but if you look at the past 300+ pages in this forum alone there are many unhappy customers lately over the past 21 or so days. I got lucky my issue was on day 1 and i found my way here quickly and i got resolution (4+ days). There are many going on 1-3 weeks with no resolution. I would question my sanity if i used their services again.

The past 24 hours we've been handling the vast majority of orders within 2 hours due to some recent improvements.

Can you please explain why all Dwolla orders have been held back and when do you expect to process them?
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SATOSHI DICE IS A SCAMMER!! on: April 20, 2013, 01:38:38 AM
The minimum bet is 0.0100 so if you sent (0.0100 - fee) then you did not place the minimum bet. Now you know and probably will not repeat the same mistake.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: April 20, 2013, 01:35:11 AM
What is going on with the site? The transaction failes due to the error "Dwolla failed verification - unable to locate" but I have used Dwolla before and send them the verification documents.

13  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How is Bitinstant not at the top of this section? on: March 27, 2013, 05:53:30 PM

Yeah,  not going to happen.  The simple fact of the matter is that their system is automated.  If they had the funds, all transactions would be processed in a couple of seconds.  Code doesn't just break for all of their interactions with all exchanges at once, and in the trillion-to-one situation that all exchanges simultaneously issued changes to their APIs that broke Bitinstant's code with no prior notice, they would contact the exchanges, find out the new processes, and modify their code.  Then they would run the transaction processing script again, and all transactions would be processed in a few seconds.  At most, in this imaginary worst-case situation that would never occur, it would take maybe taken 3 hours to recover.  We are at over 30 days now.

I have been a web developer for 12 years, and a desktop software developer for 7 years before that.  These excuses simply do not hold water, and the fact that they are lying about technical issues to buy time should send up immediate red flags. They seem to be on life support financially and are just processing enough older transactions, likely funded with newer transactions (aka a Ponzi scheme), to keep a small flow of positive posts in the Newbies section.  That serves to keep hope alive and delay people from suing or contacting law enforcement, but it will only work for so long.

Bitinstant started off as a legitimate service, which of course is why everyone has given them so much slack.  But something either catastrophic or nefarious has happened over there, and it is quite apparent that they don't have a way to stop it from careening over the cliff.  Having watched a few of these things unfold in the real world, whomever is left over there that has clean hands needs to go into self-preservation mode.  Take the reigns, come clean publicly about what has happened, cooperate with any resulting investigations, and either take the company into bankruptcy or find investors willing to stop the bleeding. You don't want to go down with this ship.  The jig is up.

You are making some quite big assumptions there. From what I have seen it does NOT appear that bitinstant has a transactional system in place. I have placed orders that failed and the website never updated once they manually processed the order.

I have placed orders and had them manually processed twice. The order status indicated "processed" and the box right under it said something like "API Response: Account balance not sufficient"
14  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Refresh Electrum Client on: March 12, 2013, 08:22:17 AM
I think I was just having connection problems, but it would be nice to have a refresh button and info about when it was last updated.
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: March 11, 2013, 08:48:22 PM
BitInstant really needs to set better expectations. If they don't have a real chat, they should not claim it!

Also they should send transaction emails. Like "Hey your just setup a transfer it will be completed after X, Y and Z" and then a follow up email when the transaction goes through or not. As it stands the transaction fails and that DOES NOT trigger any action from BitInstant. You contact their support and they resolve it but that still doesn't tie into their transactional system!

In one instance a failed transfer because they did not have any funds in their exchange account, I contracted them and they manually did the transfer TWICE! Today my transfer fails and they did it manually again and on their site it still shows failed status!
16  Bitcoin / Electrum / Refresh Electrum Client on: March 11, 2013, 08:42:05 PM
I don't use the Bitcoin-qt client because it's 1) sluggish and 2) doesn't let you send a transaction without fees.

I am using Electrum but the issue I have if I send or recieve a transaction I need to close and re-open it for the transaction to show in the history. E.g. I send a transaction from electrum to blockchain wallet. Blockchain site instantly updates without touching it, Electrum client doesn't show the transaction at all in the history. 30 seconds later, nothing. Close and re-open Electrum and it shows the transaction I sent finally.

Is there any way to have Electrum be in real-time?
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: March 11, 2013, 07:41:11 PM
So you are saying there is no live chat and what they call "live chat" is actually "email." Chat is supposed to be a near-realtime two-way conversation, for e.g. Skype.

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Invalid exchange? on: March 11, 2013, 07:18:48 PM
Bit Instant is very unreliable. I don't use the feature to send to a bitcoin address but I keep hearing about it being down all the time.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Official Newbie BitInstant Support Thread (Active Customer Support) on: March 11, 2013, 07:14:13 PM
Has anyone been able to reach the alleged "live chat?" Has anyone ever gotten an answer on the phone?
