Sold 10 BTC this morning on Coinbase at $248USD but then tried to sell some more this afternoon and Coinbase has shutdown it's sells of BTC! WTH! Just an FYI for everyone....

Quote From CoinBase when trying to sell BTC:
"Sorry, the maximum number of sells on Coinbase has been reached for today. Please try again in 24 hours. We'll continue raising this limit over time."

Mercury upgraded from .97 (138GH/s) to .98 after 2 hours (141GH/s). Temps are 1-2 degrees hotter but nothing alarming. Seems like they are moving in the right direction with this one for sure! Couldn't be more pleased with KNC.

WU improved on my Merc with .97 from .96 as well. Flushwork does seem quicker as well. We'll see in a few hours how it really holds up to the test tho.

more likely is BTC going to 2000usd!
BTC value ≠ difficulty, although that seems to be the trend.  Anyhow, I digress.  We need to wait till the market stabilizes, it's too risky to buy/pre-order any ASIC right now.  I am almost certain any ASIC bought today, will see very little to no ROI by the time the device gets to your door and/or after you mine back the initial investment cost.

Forget about BFL's Monarch, given their track record.. it won't be released till Q3/Q4 of 2014.  By then, it's like having a Jalapeno of today... or worst.

I look at the size of the thing and the projected hashrate and think it's going to get too hot.

BFL customer once, never again.

Kudos! You're fast Tongue

I really appreciate that BFGminer split stats per asic slot, very useful.
So from the statistics you reported here it seems that the core with higher temp perform worse and has a lot of HW error more.
I'm really looking forward to use BFGminer on my jups.

Working like a champ on a .96 Mercury. seeing better results on HW errors initially, will see if long term it stays less. Donation coming your way Luke-Jr.

I noticed something interesting with my Mercury that I was hoping others could confirm. My miner has been running at about 120GHs with 1 core disabled pulling 117W of power at about 36C per bertmod. I stuck the miner in the Garage yesterday since it's getting cold here now and this morning I check and it's running about 138Ghs pulling 109W of power at about 27C and only 1 core disabled. I've read several posts on here from 'ormoma that the temperatures don't matter but this clearly shows that a 10C drop in ambient temperature gave me a significant boost in hashing power that has been sustained ever since the temperature change not to mention the lower power draw...

Keeping with the depressing theme of late....

I tried a wireless bridge... it sucked... totally.
Want one?...lol

There are some crappy ones out there for sure...but the one I linked is pretty awesome for those just now starting to wonder about how to put their miner on wireless and don't want to jump through a lot hoops to do it.  I do high-end networking for a living and I'm not easily impressed with home consumer-grade gear..but this little box really surprised me for the build quality and the signal strength it was able to maintain throughout the house during my wireless torture test.

BAH! I just bough one of these today for my XBMC setup as I took my old bridge to use on my miner. I was looking at that exact product, dangit. I picked up a refurb one of these for $29USD.

I would not rely on a raspberry pi to act as a wireless bridge, I would much rather have a wireless gaming adapter for nearly the same price as a raspberry pi. While no longer sold, I'm using this without issue and it took a whole 10 seconds to setup...

eligius under DDOS

I can't seem to pull up the website with stats but my miner shows it's getting shares accepted. New to Eligius, assuming this is par for the course?

he next difficulty is estimated to change by 34.72% to 360,699,846 on block #266,111. That should be 5 days 5 hours 59 mins 42 seconds from now.

Thanks for ruining my day... Wink

Anyone else seeing this kind of reoccurring drop in hashing, I suspect it's got something to do with cgminer restarts or the like? I have other miners running so the graph doesn't hit zero but the new KNC miner does completely go offline for long enough that the graph picks it up....

Just got my Mercury, I'm happy with it's speed but it shipped with .95 anyone seeing better numbers than this with .96?

bummer

eligius is showing 2013/10/18 14:48:45: 675 seconds: 34741.51

34.7GH/s

Oh well, I'm going to shut it down and inspect the board with a loupe and check out its thermal paste or tape.

Which firmware? Did you update the firmware that it shipped with?

36X Day 2 here just changed status to "Shipped" its a pickup so I guess they have to now ship it to their office where it can be picked up from as I imagine they don't want ppl having around the factory.

just a note my 304x unit just got the tracking number like 2hrs ago it is showing DHL tomorrow (Friday) i'd call if DHL and set things up at least they can give you the DAY it arrives from this number 1-800-225-5345 er again the tracking number shows Brussels calling the number and a live person told me it would arrive tomorrow ..(I was shocked) just so you are warned!

anyway the point of this is it took 2 1/2 days to go from Sweden to the Midwest usa...so jump on the DHL tracking when you get the number imho

Searing

My Mercury is, according to DHL, in Brussels since 1:44AM, processed in Brussels at 11:15AM.  Calling I found I can expect delivery tomorrow by end of the business day.

DHL instead of UPS, not sure if that's good or bad. Is your Mercury going to the USA? I can't imagine mine getting to me tomorrow from Brussels...

@Augusto Croppo, we appreciate your concern for us and if you are indeed right, we won't really care about you as we'll be sulking about the money we lost. Nobody with a brain should invest in BTC any more money than they can afford to burn. Please take @timmmers advice and move along, we have heard enough already.
17  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Bicknellski K1 Nano USA group buy interest on: July 29, 2013, 12:32:28 PM
Even at $50 USD it doesn't make sense to buy these except for the novelty. If you use the calculator below, you'll see that you will never even break even. According to this calculator you are going to have to get a device that has more hashing power or get these for less than $10 USD. I'm scared the fever over ASICs will get folks in so upside down that they'll get a sour taste for BTC and bail on the currency altogether....seen it happen before.

Call me a gambler but I feel more confident about these guys than I ever did about BFL. I'm still waiting on my equipment; I will never do business with them again based solely on the poor customer relationship skills they have demonstrated. Here's hoping for an October delivery from Sweden!
