agreed the reset is nice but some people just can't be helped because they don't read or follow instructions. from what I gather seller one even put his btc address in there so it obviously worked until the day it was shipped and seller two has a password which means he's obviously looking at the password screen so that works as well. pretty sure nothing is dead except the poster.
Thats absolutely wrong what you tell there! I followed the instructions from Bitmain Wink They said it's better to reset when you get one new so i#ve done it and the reset doesn't work, a few times i made it because in the internet you can find some threads about "not working reset" and when you read it you know that sometimes the reset at a s3 doesn't work, ok no problem, we can make it a lot of times because reseting a miner is not a damage to him. You only set him to basic configuration Wink but it worked already not so i came to here and ask what it will be, you guy tell me something about "didn't hear on anything about the internet" and " reset"  so all videos and threads about reseting a S3 were the same: let miner run for 3 minutes --> plug a thing in the hole on the right side of the Lan (you said Toothpick), hold it for about 10 seconds and after that wait 3 minutes ----> then stick in the hole with toothpick again and wait after that again 3 minutes than power it off and power it on ... thats nothing difficult even for my 4 year old son not and i've done it right the descriptions said, don't work! So whats in your opinion wrong with it?

I have no other miners or ip using things in my networkt the s3 are the only one there and i only pluged one to power supply not the two miners at the same time so what will you tell me about network when there is no other machine in the network configured outa the miner? And Darwin who i telled the seller is the fault? I only told that he doesn't give me the logindates and the other one doesn't reset the miner but what you said is already dumb like you are and from a person like you which can't help and can only talk shit i don't wanna any help so bye Darwin!  Wink

No dumbass i reply to tell you the fuckin 1.00th time that RESET WILL NOT WORK !!! your fucking toothpick won't work a few times not only one time NO FEW TIMES I have done the reset shit few times and it still does nothing did you understand now??? Thanks to the otherone, i think when debugging will not work, the controlboard change is the easiest way but i sell them and i have two problems lost 1: the other guy Cheesy and the S3+'s Smiley

A couple of things to note for you success with the S3..

- first is that half the info in this forum is outdated, invalid or was put together by an idiot to begin with so don't follow everything you read.  (such as reset 3 times to make it work once)

- second you don't explain yourself very well.  try leaving out all the extra junk and only mention your points so people can read and understand and actually help you in the correct manner.

So start with the password one, make sure nothing else is on your network or router or power supply.

- put a toothpick in the reset hole, feel around for the button properly, its actually a bit down from the hole, make sure you have actually pressed the button and not just squeeze a pencil in there and do nothing.

********

Press and hold the button for 5 seconds - release -- wait 3 minutes -- power off -- wait 10 seconds -- power back on -- wait 3 minutes and login to 192.168.1.99 ..

********  I bet you that will work.  assuming you can follow instructions
Sry but you realy did understand nothing! I have picked with something like a toothpick in the hole ... Few times and also have waited 3 minutes ... few times and also stick in the hole again .... a few times and then waited again the 3 minutes ... few times ... powered it off and on again ... few times and nothing done with this ... few times. I have looked many tutorials about it and read also instructions may i will not destroy him! So i've done this many times, so many i can't count anymore! But it get's to dumb with these to me so i set it in to ebay and buy better the S1's. And about the explaining: How can i describe you more that the LIBRARY is not found? How often must i told that when i will save something the page does not exist? I think the problem is a bug (Someone tolds me a while ago that's typical for the S3 Units) so i have to buy a debug adapter to USB and putty them to "firstboot" but in my opinion is that to much work and not a guarantee for me that this will never happened again. They get selled and problem is cleared! Thanks Wink

Hmmm maybe your second s3 runs with the firmware that has the reset bug!
I have read something about long time ago here in the forum.

Jap i've said it before ... I have done the Reset now again 3 times behind and all i can do is nothing, the same ip (not static and in my routers range) and the same with password and username error/invalid. So now i have the only option to putty them two? When it is so i sell this crap things and buy me more S1 units! I'm so pissed about 3 weeks ;( First a CC A1 destroyed my network and now i know that i am the only lucky guy which bought a s3+ which has the reset bug i think, from the other one we won't speak right now ... That's Luck Cheesy I go and play better Lottery maybe i had the six right numbers to win i think Cheesy
Thanks for all Wink I threw them to ebay i think.

For the first one its possible that a firmware update could solve the problem of a corrupt libary. But maybe you shoot em down complete trying it...
For the second unit you should perform a hardware reset. Use a small pencil and push the reset button behind the small hole next to the network connector

I think about to install the firmware complete new on the first miner so it have the basic settings and the library works again so i can configure the rest step by step but i can, now i can't configure anything

The second... I will try to reset it again ... So before i do this the 453th time, is it the rigth way? Push the reset butten for about 10-15 seconds ---> wait about 3 minutes after that with power on ----> push the button again ---> wait again about 3 minutes ---> switch power off and again on and it will work? So than i can tell you before that it won`t work but Cheesy i can try again and again so the miner isn't working and i have no better to do with him in the moment Grin Also when here is somewhere with a little time we can teamview about it, maybe i'm only to dumb for it Smiley

Sounds like you bricked the first one by putting that double hash crap in there.

Second one a reset should work to gain access to it.

So i've done nothing to the first miner, i was happy that it runs for about two weeks without problems and then my pool found 2 blocks in 1-3 minutes and from then it runs but nothing gets to the pool ... i can enter the "Miner status" and the "Miner Configuration" but when i will set a new pool and will "save&aply" it doesn't work at all "No Library" Can i nothing do to him to let him back to work? I thought like a new "image" upload on it or something like that ....

Second One was also reseted and nothing works, when i get to the interface (not over the standard ip, whats wondering me) and gave "root" in the password field it says invalid password or username ... how can i fix this probs? Gives therefor a solution?

Thanks

Hey Guys hope you can Help me  Undecided
I have two Antminers S3+ bought used over ebay. To the First one: I've bought it with a 1.000Watts Server PSU, so i know as a absolutely Noob that the PSU is not the Problem. It was complete configured to my Pool when it arived, so i pluged it in and it starts to mine with no Problems. But than someday in my Pool was a "Doublehash" ( i named it so when the pool found 2 Blocks on the same time) and the miner starts to beep and after that he shuts down. I have read that i must disconnect the power suply and connect it again so it would run, also i've done this and i thought it were everything fine again but nothing. In my Pool there comes no power from the S3+ and when i get in the configuration menu (interface) i can't change things, when i click on "Save & aply" comes a text "No library" or "LUA Error" or something in this direction. In some menu points in the Interface i cant get in, he tolds me directly that there is no library or something not installed or LUA Error. So i thought "reset it" i tried about feeled 100 resets and no one worked, when i get back in the interface the same as before Sad It's verry frustrating to see others wo run a reset with no problems i dumbass made a antminer to a deco objekt :///

To the second One: I've bought it also over Ebay used from a other seller like the first Antminer S3+. I pluged it in, gave the ip in the browser and boom Password :O so i tried "root" and nothing goes -.- I've contacted the seller to get the password from him, he tolds me in a mail that it must be "Robert12" or "root" In this moment i knew he doesnt have a plan about the password and im fucked again :/ So i have a PSU which works and a Miner without interface login due to lost password of the pre user. Can i hack it or crack it somehow? For any ideas and Help i'm verry Thankfull

Hey guys
i think i have a simple problem with my CC A1, i can't log in the webinterface because i have no logininfos. I've bought it used via ebay and after it destroyed my router and my whole network (6 miners shutted down because the network was deleted) and a complete new programming of my router i came to the webinterface of the miner BUT now he asks me for a username and a password which i not have, how cvan i get this cleared to come in the miners interface and set the ip to my network? Thanks for every help and Infos.

Wolke i think you're also a German .... DANKE SCHÖN!!!! Smiley))))))))) Er läuft, hab zwar mein netzteil geschrottet aber er lief Smiley *stolz wie Oskar Danke Danke Danke euch allen für die Hilfe !

Hehe, bitte gern...

Ist dein Desk voll?
Wieviel Leistung holst du raus?

Hatte damals folgende Werte.

so i test the new clocking options, these are the results that i get:

power save ultra
~710 Watt = ~740 GH/s
0,95 Watt per GH/s

power save moderate
~770 Watt = ~808 GH/s
~0,95 Watt per GH/s

power save light
~940 Watt = ~940 GH/s
~1 Watt per GH/s

normale mode
~1040 Watt = ~1020 GH/s
~1,01 Watt per GH/s

turbo light
~1140 Watt = ~1080 GH/s
~1,05 Watt per GH/s

turbo moderate
~1330 Watt = ~1140 GH/s
~1,16 Watt per GH/s

turbo extreme
not testet, because the system starts for a second and than go down... i think it can be a problem with the psu, i musst test it

the HW in alls mode are under 1 % -> i get this result with the tool  "cgremote"...
