1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: January 26, 2021, 12:51:10 PM
Is Ethereum going to die in my opinion is impossible and I think it is beyond everyone's thinking, Ethereum has a large market cap and many people hold this coin and the most popular coin after bitcoin.
Well, you can't apply same logic to XRP, however it is the top 5 coin by market cap, but it is going to die sooner or later.
You can tell by comparing its 5-year chart with any other top 10 coin.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: November 30, 2020, 03:28:38 PM
When will this madness end?
Who is willing to pay such amounts for a transaction?
When market will settle down - like 10 hours later it was 10 gwei or something.
Same thing happened when UNI was dropped
3  Economy / Economics / Re: usa dollar future on: October 31, 2020, 09:42:50 AM
all this debt is created by printing money as we see it goes to stock market and it goes from small investors to big investors.
now people and corporations will be debted when people are in debt what they need ?? they need money to pay back the loans!
but usa dollars are nowhere and then at somepoint  goverment will tell to people , we cant print more money and you dont have money what you have is debt and when there is not enough money for people then the value will increase of the money.
and recessions will hit the usa prices will go down and dollar value will rise higher
all of that i think its beneficial for etheruem and tether!
so this what i think and i think the winners are usa dollar tether and etheum in this situation
So, I see 2 basicly opposite variants of whats going to happen - one of them you've descirbed already, the other one is basically same thing, but it will almost kill usa's economy and usd too.
However, whether its going to be first or second outcome I can clearly see that crypto market will only gain power from it.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNISWAP (UNI) is driving me CRAZY!! on: September 22, 2020, 08:13:26 AM
I like how Uniswap conducted the UNI airdrop. They implemented the airdrop contracts silently. Because if they had announced it priority to the distribution, thousands if not millions of people would have registered. Congratulations to everyone who benefited from the airdrop. I've used uniswap before but it was earlier this month so I wasn't eligible to participate and claim.
For sure they were trying to not let everyone know about it, because every other one would register 10+ accounts just to get "free money" which are originally intended for real community members
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Polkadot is the Real Ethereum killer? on: September 08, 2020, 02:47:26 PM
Polkadot is currently the toughest competitor for ethereum compared to other platform blockchains like eos, stellar, waves, neo and it is actually very difficult for polkadot to become ethereum killer considering ethereum still has advantages over this, but if ethereum makes a mistake it's not impossible polkadot will become ethereum killer.
So I'm hearing from that ultimately ethereum is the only one that can engrave itself and sort of give out the lead to competitors.
Otherwise, there is no such company to really compete with ethereum on its current level
6  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OWNR wallet. Buy, exchange and store crypto. Licensed service. on: September 07, 2020, 09:01:33 AM
I've been using your wallet app on my phone for a while now and it works just fine for me.
However, there are certainly some issues with desktop app (i have win 10) - I've tried to restore it with my seed phrase which I re-checked several times and I still get 400 error.
Didn't find any information about it in your FAQ. Its not a big deal, just wanted to let you know if you're not aware of that
7  Economy / Economics / Re: The positive impact ~ on: September 02, 2020, 06:32:59 AM
We are still in pandemic but seeing ethereum now with its current market price is really a good on sight. I did not knoe what happen to ethereum but is this the effect of an upgrade?  Is there still more to come? I think cryptocurrency had never been affected with pandemic seeing all the good things that happen in the market.
Anyway, cryptocurrency market may came down from the bottom we can still be positive that things could happen and change like the things happen now with cryptocurrency. This is a proof or evidence that there is no constany in this world except for constant change.
I mean it was affected, you can clearly see on most of crypto/usd charts that market grew a lot since the pandemic started.
Moreover, crypto affected world economy in a very positive way for many developing countries in south america and africa especially
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin use? on: August 24, 2020, 07:56:15 AM
I don't hear much about LTC nowadays.
Are people using it much?
I didn't hear someone using it literally in years, can't say much on wallets.
There weren't much updates on it either, I haven't seen single article about ltc in months.
I don't know what drives ltc dev team because they're in much better position than most other alts
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you trade if you won't leave your coins on exchange on: August 11, 2020, 06:39:23 AM
These words are just to warn us not to keep assets in the exchange wallet for too long without trading, because of the risk of hacking or other things, especially large amounts. better keep it in your personal wallet. there is no trading without making a deposit (it sounds ridiculous), and the most important thing is to choose an exchange that has clear credibility and strong security.
Its one of the most important crypto trading rules - do not hold funds on exchange account, no matter how secured the service is.
I'd say its mostly not worth it to hold there for more than hours, you definitely can find multi currency wallet to trade with it safely
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Pump DeFi projects are on fire! on: July 31, 2020, 05:07:40 PM
We saw bitcoin surpassed the $11,000 level and saw a massive moonshot of DeFi projects. I hope you guys diversify your portfolio to some defi projects to earn a passive income while waiting for the bull market.
I am incredibly glad that I have bought some diverse projects during march/april's market dump, so am going to be in pretty awesome position with more than pleasing profits
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we agree BTC is not a store of value? on: July 24, 2020, 02:27:15 PM
Listen to this podcast.
https://unconfirmed.libsyn.com/coronavirus-how-it-will-impact-bitcoin-and-the-halving-ep116
However much you want it to be, BTC is NOT a store of value.  It has been a few years since $20K and even now, each peak is smaller than the previous peak.  Probably be $3K by the end of the week.
Unfortunately, bitcoin at the moment is nothing but a store of value.
You can buy something with it and it is adopted by some businesses, but we all understand that apart from lightning network it is a high fee slow transaction coin.
There are many others more usable coins and tokens out there that deserve attention
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Racism isn’t born, it’s taught on: July 08, 2020, 01:52:22 PM
Racism is generational, along with religion.
The baby boomers are obviously the most racist, since their parents probably had fresh memories of the great war, and being attacked by other races.
There is a large protest (10k confirmed) tonight at 6pm MST.  I'm thinking of attending.
If you have a chance and a will to attend there - just do it, no one will do it instead of you
unfortunately, there are countries where racism is not legal, but it is socially appreciated and thats sad
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DONT MARRY YOUR ALTCOIN BAGS on: June 29, 2020, 09:39:49 PM
I'm not quite sure, but it seems logical to invest in some high risk altcoins because demand for crypto is higher than it was back in the days after 2017 peak.
I don't think we'll meet bear market anytime soon. If quarantine will be prolonged - more people will invest in crypto because they'll be afraid to lose value of fiat.
But If quarantine will end now completely - people will have enough funds to regularly invest in crypto again as it was before corona
14  Economy / Economics / Re: What if this pandemic persists till the end of the year? on: June 24, 2020, 03:40:28 PM
It's almost 6 months since the coronavirus took its toll on every aspect of human lives. it has been accompanied by widescale job loss, a rise in the unemployment rate, a reduced standard of living, and intense hardship. From the economic perspective, what will be the fate of the global economic situation and normal day to day business if this pandemic doesn't go away by the end of this year?
most of small and medium sized businesses are going to close and won't be open in next year at least, because  rent payment is going to be higher for sure.
most of human population will have 0 saving and/or credit debt which is going to lower their purchasing power (dead small businesses once again).
unfortunately, criminal activity will increase everywhere.
If we're going to be kept like this for another 6 months I believe we will have to work this out for 2 years at least
15  Economy / Economics / Re: Counter-Strike Skin Economy on: June 08, 2020, 05:23:24 PM
That looks like a fad/bubble to me, like when Beanie Babies were going for crazy amounts of money.  The interest (and willingness to spend such outrageous sums of money on trivial things) isn't sustainable IMO.
This is kinda how stock investors view crypto - they think it rises too quick and too much, and they see volatility so they say it's not a real investment, no intrinsic value, a bubble, etc. Ofc crypto has actual utility, but pure speculation plays a much bigger role in price discovery right now.
Especially right now I mean last couple months while all skin traders and crypto traders are active and trying to make best out of this lockdown situation.
People do treat everything here not like an investment
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is gambling another good use case for coin to have more demand? on: May 28, 2020, 02:34:21 PM
It reminds me of articles about "dirty" money being laundred with crypto is a bad thing.
Crypto is just another way to store/make/move money around the world.
Yes people do play, gamble and etc etc so they will use any valuable currency to do it.
Yes people do steal, hack and etc so there will be crimes with crypto involved (as well as fiat).
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and Deflation of Price and Money Supply on: May 13, 2020, 10:36:03 AM
Yes. Inflation and deflation of the prices is controlled by the governmental bodies. This is not dependent only on the cryptocurrencies. Various financial activities that are taking place at the national and the international level determine the prices in a specific country. Moreover the economic growth is much relatable to the development in different spheres.
Not to mention that manipulating national currencies (eg. by printing money) is often done by purpose, to make own companies with their products cheaper than of its foreign competition. This is how China for years had been working as a factory for the world.
Each state is trying to help its producers by taking various tricks, whether it is a deliberate depreciation of the national currency, taxation of imports with various duties, and much more.
It’s just that some states use legal methods, while others may cheat.
overall US govs has been cheating all this time anyway - they have printed money so they inflated all funds of holders outside of the US, and then gave these printed money to the citizens
economically thats tricky, not cheating really, but we all know it is
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you could, would you delete every altcoin? on: May 02, 2020, 12:26:19 PM
If I was to decide whether delete every altcoin or leave the situation as it is, I would keep all the altcoins. Because they are the history or knowledge. They demonstrate how people can be naive and believe in lies, how people invest in things that will never make them rich or will opposite - make them rich easily. Altcoins show how different can be cryptocurrency world.
Moreover I think every alt plays huge role in overall developing crypto world of the future. I mean most of alts are just bad experiments and we can only reach great results by testing out what works and whats not
If we delete all alts - we'll lose track of our past experience so that would be a huge leap backwards in terms of crypto industry growth
19  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptotalk Future on: April 27, 2020, 07:19:44 AM
Cryptotalk site will have your IP logs so cleaning cookies on your browser has no effect and if you are banned once means you are banned so you can create new one using VPN and get paid from the beginning but they also stopped new registrants so people who got barred has no other way to get paid and I am not sure that still pay per post campaign is still active on cryptotalk.
There are still activities and they are paying people and I read from one post coming from the admin that there will be a signature campaign, it's been discussed months ago but they have not yet launch one, the one that will benefit are those coming from higher rank
They might pay people 'til this day, however the service itself lost any point/meaning to users so can't say anything good about them
moreover there was this story about them being racist, that was last straw for them imo
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: COVID-19 teaches all of us. on: April 10, 2020, 01:20:38 PM
It is true that covid-19 does not only have negative effects, but teach us many positive things as mentioned in the opening post.
We are complicated by the spread of Covid-19, because we are too focused on the negative things caused by this corona virus.
Even if we can think positively, we will be calmer in overcoming this crisis. If we faced with this crisis calmly and patiently, then all
problems will feel light and easy to carry.
still feels bad to me when people start saying that virus brings good impact  .
its like they saying that we need more of this in order for the people to go out on thier shell and start helping each other  .  sad but it happens in reality because we rearely see people help other on the past when there is no major crisis that is happening   . my only wish is that people change these mannerism so that our creator will not feel bad and gave us problem like this one that we are experiencing    .
There is no one who would call it a bad thing.
However, in order to 1) learn a lesson 2) to withstand mental stress from quarantine and massive human losses we have to stay strong and stay positive.
