1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: April 29, 2021, 01:16:38 PM
Job well done, OP. I didn't bought any Bitcoin way back when the price was still low but I've stored a little amount of it way back 2017, and I've sold it when it hits $60,000 after for so many years of waiting because of the bearish market, and I am happy as well for my profit, it is worth the  wait.

Early adopters profits for sure are way more bigger, but I guess they didn't sold any of it because they are waiting for much bigger All Time High.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Received my first product purchased through bitcoin today on: December 22, 2020, 07:39:43 AM
This is cool, but the 2 months delayed is not a good thing for me. The customer and the seller relationship should be always "If I pay today, you'll ship it today", this way, you could have your item as soon as possible and not waited for 2 months. Not all customers are patient like you, and I'm sure they are aware that having a poor service will give them a bad reputation and could end up in a very worst situation.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is live betting better than betting in advance? on: November 28, 2020, 02:30:04 PM
It depends on the bettor some bettors are good with in game or live game and some bettor are good when betting in pre match game, since not all bettor could analyze the game pretty well in live game also in live game it could be risky in my opinion.

Correct. Betting in live game will just give you crumpled decisions that will lead to future losses. Analyzing a game is a must, knowing the possibility of chances of a certain team in winning by using the information they have like watching the past videos of a game in sports to have solid decision on where to bet and how much bet they will risk.

5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: February 22, 2020, 12:44:09 PM
It is actually both. The moment you started playing gambling, you are already threatening yourself while having fun, the threat is losing, and of course the fun part is when you are winning, you are also enjoying. But, the thing is that sometimes, we are missing the threatening part of it, since it is getting block up by the joy we are experiencing whenever we play gambling.

gbling is usually harmless and brings a lot of fun and brings a lot of money to the table and jobs for people

I am not sure about that, because even if you have some control, you can't control the gambling site itself for you to avoid losing your money, there is no fun in that, that being said, it is already a threat to us since money is important and our goal is to double it up by playing in gambling, not losing it.

Quote
but if i dont have a debt , i hardly win

You could buy things for your friends and/or make good investments that long term puts you ahead but short term means you have very little available money.    If somehow that leads you to have better luck with the little money left then great I guess.   I'd say thats the smartest approach anyway, pay bills first, pay down the mortgage as much as possible with the few bits left after all monthly bills paid only then gamble the little left that is of no consequence.   Its a bad idea to gamble with money you need later anyhow.

Correct, that is basically useless and so dumb for someone to do, because if you will gamble without saving any money, you will be force to make a loan, sell your stuffs that you need, or even your properties if you have no choice because you need the money to pay those things that you have mentioned. The problem here since then is that they are playing gambling without any moderation, without any self-discipline, without any proper mindset or precautions, just in case they need one.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do some gamblers actually win? on: February 17, 2020, 06:06:35 PM
There are fixed percentages of people who could win against the house in a day, because all of the gambling sites never let anyone to beat them in a way where it looks like they don't have any control on the games. Gambling site's game are all programmed, meaning, there is a code that would generate the patterns and tactics to beat the players in a way where the house would always make the bigger profits even there are people who are winning.

In short, the number of people who are winning in the gambling site everyday is smaller than the amount of people losing everyday in gambling, that is the sad story behind it. It might be smaller, but it ignites hopes to those gamblers who is really persistent to make money out of it.

9  Other / Meta / Re: Most informative posts in 24 h on: February 10, 2020, 06:47:24 AM
Someone pray tell me, why is this thread in Meta again? And not in others or trash? I like the idea of top 5 posts, but half these posts are russian/from ANNs, and I don't understand shit.

English is not my native language, so I have translated your message by Googletranslate into Russian, and then back into English

[TAGALOG] Paano gumawa ng Blockchain? Bumuo ng iyong sariling chain

This makes you more like a shitty poster. Google translate is not always accurate, you are a Russian and yet you're using google translate I guess to post in our Local thread? or are you a Filipino?, because this thread of yours can't be accurately translated by Google, in my opinion, unless you just copy pasted it from someone.

I'm confused Huh

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: February 02, 2020, 12:54:31 PM

More money in hand = More chances of winning.

Frankly speaking, this is technically true, the more money you had, the more chances you could try to win, that should be the right complete sentence for other not to misunderstood this mindset. For example, there are two people, one have $100 and the other one have $1,000, if they are going to bet the same amount of bet per roll or per round ($10 per round), obviously, the person who have $1,000 would last even longer, and there is a huge chance for him to win if he will spend all that $1,000 in trying.

On the negative side of this mindset, if they are going to bet their money on just one go, of course their fate would be just the same, either they win or lose, well they would lose, to be honest.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you gamble in a league with serious allegations of collusion? on: January 30, 2020, 07:08:04 PM
Odds would be shit and the chances of losing money is very high. I'd say I won't touch any of it unless I have some insider information on what's happening in-between matches. It's pretty hard trying to beat some people of their money who already knows the outcome of the games that would be played, and at that point it's better to just throw your money on dice and hope to win in the process. I've bet on a lot of fixed matches, and right before the line closes, the odds would sway hard on the one that I bet on, ending up on an almost no-profit bet for me..

It's best to stay away on these type of games unless you're an insider IMO.

Everyone has their own secrets, even those people who have big names in the industry, their secrets are hidden and well protected by people who have power to do so, so even though you know someone who will provide you such information, it will be filtered, because confidential information are always stay hidden, but it won't take long before the smoke came out of the room.

You won't see it coming, so, it is a trial and error process when it comes to gambling, even in life, we have to risk something to gain something, but not every time it will turns out good, most of the time it is what we are not expecting to be.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to open an online Bitcoin Casino on: January 29, 2020, 01:49:12 PM
There are no countries that allows that, you cannot make an online gambling site without any license because countries either completely banned it or you are required to get a one before proceeding to your plan, unless you wanted to be in jail for not abiding the law, especially if you are a foreigner to a certain country where you plan to start your business. A license is a must to:

- Verify your Identity (so that the players would have a peace of mind that you are a legitimate person)
- Provide proof (that you are capable of running your business)
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: January 28, 2020, 01:31:33 PM
Yes I would say it is possible technically but I can only speak for myself.
If I ever won £50k or the day when my cumulative earnings reach £50k. (Mind you not dollars)
I've not quite reached even 10% of this milestone. I am sure I'll get there in the next 10 years. And then bye bye gambling!

Realistically, i don't think there will be any amount of money to make a man stop from gambling. But it cant be definite either.

For example, in lottery, some of those who won the prize were able to manage their money wisely (invested it) while others tend to carelessly spend their money to win again.

It also depends on the reasons why someone continues to gamble. In casino, they do it for fun, for entertainment purposes or to release stress. Whereas in lottery, they take their chances, hoping the odds will be on their favor.

To wrap it up, i think no amount of money would suffice someone's thirst in gambling if they don't have control and didn't put limitations. Afterall, it all boils down to one thing and that is being disciplined and responsible for every action and decision you make especially when it involves risking to the uncertainty.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll for favourite cryptos used on Gambling. on: January 27, 2020, 09:20:01 AM
Bitcoin is the most used cryptocurrency in gambling, but in my opinion, if I were to gamble, it is more better to use XRP because of its sustainability and doesn't have too much volatility like Bitcoin, where you could avoid the high transaction fees. The reason why gambling sites preferred bitcoin is for them to earn a lot of money because of its high price fluctuations, for example a gambler just lost 1 bitcoin and cost $30 but after months or years it could double up or triple up, it is all about marketing and business.

Gamblers should know first the Pros and Cons of the cryptocurrency that they are going to use in gambling before started to deposit in a gambling site to avoid further losses in the future.

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's in the game, after all? on: January 11, 2020, 10:33:17 AM

But when I play dice, for example, I normally set it at 50%. The fun that comes from there is that out of that equal chances of winning and losing, if you turn out a winner, that somehow gives you a feeling that you are lucky. And since you (perhaps) love the metaphysical approach, it gives you the feeling that the universe is on your side. And that is fun; it gives you a light feeling

But that's what I'm talking about. You understandably feel good, but what is that feeling good made of? If you get the feeling that the universe is on your side, doesn't it mean that you are controlling your chances, i.e. things bending to your will and happening how you envisage them?

I guess that feeling was made of your pride, on how much you wanted to win and as much you don't want to lose, it is all about the satisfaction we feel every time we achieved what we wanted, when it goes all well according to our plan. Maybe we called it all "Luck" but it is more than that, it is deeper beyond our talents so we can't believe we made it, sometimes.

And we could also called it "happiness" or "bliss" which is the extreme satisfaction we got in our life that cause us too much good feelings towards something.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is playing again after winning a reasonable action? on: January 07, 2020, 04:38:35 AM
For me, It could be a good way but we need to consider not fully trusting the system they have, so to transfer the amount to other gambling site is a good way to start all over again.
I do really believe gambling sites will try their best to somehow win back profits. What is your opinion?

What is the difference? I mean, if a gambling site can detect the profits you have made on them and they will eventually win it back then it is just the same when you are going to transfer it on another gambling site in my opinion. A gambling site would also detect how much money you will transfer therefore they are also going to put it into their bankrolls by you losing most of the time when you play, if that make sense.

18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you lured someone in Gambling? on: November 19, 2019, 03:41:38 PM
Talking about luring someone or a friend into gambling I have done that multiple times already. Not just to enjoy gambling but also when I ran out of money I lure them hoping they will win to save me from being broke for a moment.

You're not a "friend", you are a fake friend, because if you're a real friend of them, you wouldn't put them in gambling to be messed up like you, that was a selfish decision of yours. I'm curious how it turned up? care to tell us what happened to your friends?

If I'm not wrong, and like what others ended up in gambling, I bet they've got addicted or your friendship was already over because they've realized that a friend like you is not totally worthy to be called a "Friend"
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much Money You Need To Win To Stop gambling, Is This Possible. on: November 14, 2019, 01:10:45 PM
Honestly I don't know like most of the other gamblers, because we may win many times but still wanted to gamble so any amount can't make us to stop from betting but if someone really new to betting but they won in few millions then they might quit gambling for a reason.

May be the need of the people varies and some has some loan or debt to repay or require some extra money for something and some just gamble to pull out hat extra money from gambling, may be that would be one of the reason and that amount could stop them once they achieve it. But more likely greedy behaviour of a person would not prevent them to continue gambling.

Gambling is definitely not something which can help you to repay a loan. If someone is stupid to the extent that he/she starts gambling with that goal, I can guarantee that they would not stop until they lose everything, even if they initially won what they needed.

Most of people's brain stop functioning when they are in a pinch situation, and the first choice they will think is to earn money as soon as possible because the due date of paying that loan or debt is approaching, and this is what you called cramming, people don't feel responsible unless they are facing something hard, and that is paying their debts therefore they went to gambling having a mindset that they could do it for the sake of themselves.

But the result are mostly depressing and turns out the other way which they are not expecting, so instead they will only look for a small amount of money and add it to their cash on hand to pay their debt, they will be in a bigger trouble because they need to look for bigger money to pay their debt.
