1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH started rising again , is it as positive sign for market recovery ? on: May 14, 2018, 10:09:57 AM
ETH price started rising , it was below $700 for many days and now it crossed $700. Is it a sign of positive market recovery? Many people predicted that that market will pick up after recent down fall. One thing is becoming clear that ETH is rising no matter bitcoin price rises or not. How far ETH price can go within few months?

I wouldn't be too positive just yet.

One thing is for sure, though. ETH prices are rising in spite of BTC prices staying relatively put and not moving upwards much, which is pretty odd to say the least. It could just prove to be a short term rally for ETH, imo, that won't really have a lasting impact.

ETH could continue its rally from recent days, but tbh it'll still have to follow the general trend of BTC. I definitely wouldn't say that recovery is underway, yet.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA) vs. EOS (EOS): Which Is A Better Investment? on: May 14, 2018, 10:04:26 AM
EOS is now ranked 5th on coinmarketcap.com, with a market cap of $14.6 billion against the 6th ranked Cardano, whose market cap is now $9.6 billion (figures correct at the time of writing). Which Is A Better Investment?

In my honest opinion, EOS is going to probably be a better investment if you're looking at an extremely short investment term. The launch is only a few weeks away for the main net, and prices will undoubtedly start skyrocketing when that happens.

However, I feel like that ADA at this kind of price point is a better long term bet than EOS.

Cardano has demonstrated that its rallies can be extremely strong, and right now the price level for entry is extremely attractive compared to EOS's which has already been pumped a bit. Honestly both are promising, so it's up to you to research and decide.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Major benefit of Ethereum? on: May 14, 2018, 09:50:37 AM
Ethereum is getting popular day by day. People participating in ICOs they use ETH a lot. Ethereum is a smart contract.

But what does Ethereum do better that any other alt?

The major benefit of ETH over any other alt, I would say is that adoption is higher than most other alts. Even though it's not really used other than ICO purposes at all, almost all ICOs do still use the ETH platform to host their tokens, which is huge.

That doesn't mean that ETH is the best bet over the long run at all, I think that there are plenty of better options out there.

However, ETH is simply serving way too many ICOs right now to be out of the top 3 altcoins, in my opinion. As long as ICOs are still a thing, ETH will be used on a wide scale and value won't tank.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the bear season over yet on: May 14, 2018, 09:48:51 AM
From the beginning of this year 2018, alt coins price had fallen tremendously until the last few weeks when we beginning to experience price stabilizations and increase in market capitalization. Also most of the alt coins too have started appreciating in price. From these indications, can we confidently said that the bear season is over or is not yet a celebration time.

I wouldn't say that the bear season is over, just yet.

With this correction things can get pretty interesting, I suspect that prices will be sent back pre-rally figures again or at least near them, depending on the scale of this correction. But markets haven't got any momentum at the moment, nor the necessary bullish sentiment in order to safely say that the bear market is over.

If you see these big drops though in the dump, don't panic. Panic selling is literally shooting yourself in the foot from an investment perspective.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Don't be one of those weak hands!!! on: May 14, 2018, 09:38:31 AM
One news about Mt Gox that would not really change price all that much if it was true and they chicken out and sell. Well maybe that is good riddance. I hope they don't come back Grin don't be one of them!

Whenever Mt Gox coins get moved even though there is no proof of them actually dumping it on the market, the entire market is thrown into panic mode. And it's not just Mt Gox - all sorts of news, relevant or not, get people into panic selling mode.

Obviously, that's not what you want. Because selling at low prices is the exact opposite you want to do.

This dump is probably not triggered by the Mt Gox rumors alone, though. The $10k resistance proved to but too much for BTC to go through, but the same principle applies - don't panic sell in a dump, it's just not a good strategy.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2018's 5x TOP 5 on: May 14, 2018, 06:08:47 AM
Credits just finish their ico, so big fomo in this coins. Careful when buy credit because the price grow too fast. i think we should wait for few months before invest in Credits.

Exactly, when prices of an alt rises by that much, you have to be careful. I don't think that Credits is a good buy at the moment, because prices have already risen from $0.2 to over $0.7 despite the correction, which is huge.

The correction could take CS prices further down, and if you want to buy into CS for the long run, then do so at the dip, not when prices are this high.

But personally the one coin on the list that I'm eyeing is Siacoin. It's one of the more promising coins in the long term, is relatively cheap right now, and has potential to grow in price quickly in short amounts of time. It's worth a buy.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: “BTCP to replace monero as the top privacy coin” John macafee on: May 14, 2018, 06:05:13 AM
John macafee also said btcp is the best bitcoin fork ever and offers the best privacy technology!

https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=m55naihyc8E

McAfee can be paid to do anything. It has been mentioned before that he offers altcoin endorsement services or crypto related retweets/tweets for monetary rewards, so anything that comes out of his mouth can and most probably is sponsored content that can't be trusted.

I'm not saying that BTCP doesn't have a future, it probably does, and prices can climb during a bull market. But McAfee in my opinion is simply not a good source of info.

Also personally I'm still holding my XMR simply because I don't like fork coins, and BTCP doesn't have the community or reputation that XMR has.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will EOS hit $100 in this Year? on: May 14, 2018, 06:03:18 AM
EOS in one of the top potential coin in 2018.

I hope EOS will hit $100 in this year.

What do you thinking?

EOS definitely has a lot of room to grow in 2018 because of the fact that it started the year is an extremely bullish fashion. Also main net launch is coming extremely soon, which is going to generate a lot of hype.

$100 could be possible, since it's only 5x and crypto markets are volatile, but not likely.

I'd say that $40 as an ATH seems more plausible to me, and if you want to buy, you might want to hurry up since main net is scheduled to launch next month.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If a mail bounces do you mark an ico as fraud on: May 14, 2018, 06:01:00 AM
Hi guys lately i have been seeing that a few of the ico's have listed mailing addresses that never seem to receive any mails. i have made it a point ot mark these icos as frauds and dont even bother with them . What is your opinion about these icos which dont even bother to mail you back even if you have genuine inquiry .

If the developers don't even bother to respond to a genuine query, then yeah, I don't think that it's a good investment at all. In fact, it's probably one of the most telltale signs of a scam ICO if they don't bother to respond to your emails.

I wouldn't go as far as saying straightaway that the ICO is scam, however.

All I'd say personally if my emails were not responded to in a fair amount of time is that this is not an ICO that I would personally invest or particiate in, doesn't necessarily mean that they are a scam.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY SHOULD YOU BOYCOTT ICOS THAT DEMAND KYC? on: May 13, 2018, 08:06:29 AM
I don't think that boycott is the right word, but I wouldn't participate in any ICOs that ask me excessive amounts of KYC questions, unless I believe the opportunity is too good to pass up (very rare, imho).

But almost all ICOs these days are under heavy regulation, and that's out of their reach.

I'm definitely against the excessive collection of information for a simple crypto investment, but this is literally what most to all regulated ICOs are doing right now. Nothing we can do about it, other than not participating.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you thing Cryptocurrency can last forever? on: May 13, 2018, 07:51:38 AM
Do you thing Cryptocurrency can last forever?
What is the reason behind for Cryptocurrency lasting forever?
How can we make people belive on cryptocurrency?

Decentralized cryptos will last for as long as there are adopters.

The reason is that almost all cryptos are decentralized (except for say XRP and a few others), and we know that if there is even just a few nodes on the network, it can survive. The only thing that can kill crypto is if public interest drops to 0, which I think is unlikely in a long amount of time.

But whether the value holds up is a different thing altogether.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH down now , when Will be back and hitt above 1k usd? on: May 13, 2018, 07:41:13 AM
4 days ago i see ETH at 850$ but now eth dump to 670$, would eth back to 350$ like 2-3 month ago?
It's time to panic sell or bought more?
Give your me opinion and speculation when eth will raised 1000$

ETH is down mainly because of the stagnating bitcoin and altcoin price across the entire market, and the correction that followed afterwards.

It's hard to say whether or not we'll see that low of a price again, just like the last dump. I feel like that this dump may be a lot smaller, and if that's the case, I believe that prices will probably bottom at around $450-500 for Ethereum.

$1k is still a realistic figure imho, as soon as the next rally comes, ETH will have a genuine chance at that 4 figure level, since it is known to be a lot more volatile than BTC, and as a result, usually outperforms BTC in a pump.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS: just not backing down? on: May 13, 2018, 07:05:47 AM
EOS fell from a peak at 22$ earlier this week. The correction was massive but today markets for the currency are on the rise again. EOS gained ~15% in USD value over the last 24 hours, now reaching 20$ again.

https://cryptocoincharts.info/coins/show/eos

We have seen EOS prices fall a bit over the past few days though, mainly because of the market wide adjustment that we are currently experiencing. To be fair, it's definitely not just limited to EOS as all altcoins are down, but it's down around 40% from its $22 ATH.

There is definitely a huge element of hype right now, and I think the correction will probably take EOS prices lower than what it is right now, so I'd be patient and wait a few more days before accumulating.

EOS is scheduled to launch early in June though, and this might be some useful info to have. Expect big amounts of FOMO buyers just before the snapshot is taken.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any predictions for Bitcoin Gold? on: May 13, 2018, 06:58:55 AM
I'd rather be in the OG Bitcoin in all honesty.

Pretty much this, yeah.

Like why would you want to invest in a coin that solely derives its value from having "bitcoin" in its name? Think about it, if Bitcoin gold had another name and didn't have the blockchain snapshot, no way it's worth as much as it is right now.

Also considering that its got a lot of competitors, even when it's a fork coin, imho its popularity will fade. People are just buying it because they heard about its blockchain snapshot, and over the long run I'd rather be in BTC for sure.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This dump will scare a lot of people away from Crypto! on: May 13, 2018, 06:29:06 AM
The media were singing the praises of BTC, Cardano, Stellar, Ripple, etc and NOW LOOK.
In my opinion this will scare any newcomers and existing participants of this market space!
A lot of damage has been done!
Just about every chart analyst didn’t see this!

What do you mean?

This correction has been expected by many. The media as always covers crypto positively when the prices are rising, and vice versa when the markets are falling. This is just how the crypto market/ecosystem works.

It will not scare away people. Weak hands will dump regardless whether they are newcomers or not. Trust me, corrections like this happen all the time, and they do not affect the long term adoption of crypto a single bit.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of Digibyte? Does it has the potential to ever reach 1$ or more? on: May 13, 2018, 06:26:57 AM
Hi guys.....do you think digibyte will ever reach 1 dollar? i am confused between ripple and buying digibyte.....Some ppl says digibyte is better and fast than bitcoin...So why it is still low in value?

To be completely honesty, I think that DGB really hasn't done a lot and pretty much is only a speculative tool with no actual real life usage, at least for now. Just look at the charts, and how dramatic and unnatural the price changes are.

To me it's a coin that's solely based on hype, and it's definitely not better than bitcoin.

Can it reach $1? Yes, but that's unlikely considering that the previous ATH is only $0.1 or so. But I'm not ruling the possibility out since BTC can skyrocket, taking the rest of the market up with it, or fiat can depreciate. But I don't think that DGB can outperform major altcoins in the long run.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Vechain a good HODL for the next 2 months? on: May 13, 2018, 06:24:00 AM
What are your thoughts on Vechain running up to their mainnet? Anyone think we can expect it to hit the 120k sats range? To me this feels like a safer trade as they have actual partnerships in place and will be more than a speculative tool. The project as a whole seems solid to me as well.

I mean, end of June is when Vechain's main net is scheduled to launch.

Once that happens, you can definitely expect hype on a massive level (if the launch is successful and sufficient marketing is given, obviously), and prices definitely have the potential to rise drastically.

I wouldn't jump to saying that 0.0012 BTC will be possible, because it is likely that when the launch happens we're still in a downward correction for the entire crypto market, and it's hard to more than double in value in that scenario.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: John McAfee Says Privacy Coins are the Future....Name your top 3 Small Caps on: May 13, 2018, 06:16:05 AM
I agree with McAfee, but suppose that he is going to shill with new privacy coin or ICO devoted to privacy where he is adviser.
In both cases he use his reputation and according to my experience it will never end sucessfully. Probably he prepares base for future statements and tweets.

Speaking about my top small privacy coin , it is Deep onion. Nothing more. I also keen on XVG, but it is a big one.

Absolutely. Privacy coins are going to be the future, because they don't try to do too much at once and instead focuses on being a fungible mode of payment, which is what cryptocurrencies were designed to do in the first place. And it is something that is actually needed.

Although McAfee is right on this one, he's most likely just going to follow it up with 'recommendations' of new ICOs or alts that he is paid to promote.

Also, I think that if you were to invest in privacy coins, you should invest in mid to large caps instead of small caps, because the small caps from what I can tell are mostly just speculative tokens with a factor of pump and dump right now.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's going on with Bytecoin? A pump and dump SCAM? on: May 13, 2018, 06:13:24 AM
Whatever the real situation is behind Bytecoin, I think it's clear that:

a) Their launch was shady and obscured from the public
b) This pump was definitely not natural, even if there is no insider trading or anything of that kind, it's still an unnatural pump that will correct in due time.

You're right, though. Who's actually buying the coins with so much volume? And where's the coin coming from if deposits are closed? Any sane trader would know to shy away from these hyped up, short term, gains. It may be possible that there are measures to artificially inflate the price of BCN during this pump.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [REP] Augur up by 30%... What's driving this? on: May 12, 2018, 03:05:08 AM
It seems like that the price hike was indeed caused by the fact that Augur was listed onto Binance.

Obviously we know that whenever this kind of thing happens, like a major exchange listing, prices inevitably go up in the short term. However, I think that this is pure hype right now and definitely not a good time to buy.

Augur has been around for a long time without much success. Development has been slow. It's hard to say that it's a good investment by any means, and pumps are only generated through public hype just like this time.
