It is really sad to see what happened in the last week. Chicken65 you have all my support and I have respect for what you did. And this community has very valuable members that I hope will step up again, as they did in previous times.
A technical question:
My wallet has issues synchronizing (using MacoS with 3 active connections). Current block height is 258861 and new blocks get created faster than synchronization. I had that issue like 2 months ago as well and deleting all files except wallet.dat and re-synchronizing whole chain helped back then.
Is anyone else experiencing issues? Is there anything I should be considering before deleting again my chain and let it re-download?

It is not a good sign if the developer stays away for such a long time. You need to get updates everynow and then. I start feeling disappointed here.

Hi, I hope you can help: I'm using MacOS Wallet v1.0.0.0 and have issues synchronizing with network. I'm connected to 5 servers and am receiving updates about last created blocks as well ("Last received block was generated x minutes ago"). But somehow the speed is very slow and I'm not able to catch up (new blocks are generated faster than my wallet receives).
Any ideas?

Same here, someone please advise. Continuing wallet problems on my Mac. Worked fine for weeks, not cannot send or receive TrumpCoins to the wallet between Yobit or the wallet I added to my Windows laptop. Frustrated and no one here seems to be offering any support. Someone throw me a bone please. I know nothing about Mac's so bear with my ignorance. 1. Are you using the Mac TrumpCoin-Qt(V2 OSX) wallet downloadable from the Meganz site? 2. I had previous issues with my Win wallet. TimC gave me this suggestion which worked. >>>If your wallet was running and it crashed and then it does not want to startup then you need to delete the block chain and let it re-download. So delete everything beside your wallet.dat file and open the wallet. << Otherwise, come on boys help our fellow Trumper. Thank you this helped! It seems the downloaded blockchain was corrupt somehow. Please remember to backup your wallet.dat - it contains your Trumpcoins. You can find it in (MacOS): /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/TrumpCoinV2/ This seems to be the right track. I don't seem to have the folder mentioned here under Application Support. I did do a wallet backup. How will the new TrumpCoin Wallet that I download find the backed up wallet. Does it need to be saved in a certain place? Thanks for the help so far. It is essential that you find the TrumpCoinV2 folder in your /Users/USERNAME/Library/Application Support/ path. If it is not there, I'm not sure I know how to help. This folder is also supposed to contain your wallet.dat that the application is accessing. If you want to reload the blockchain by scratch, you'd ned to quit your wallet, remove everything in the above mentioned folder except wallet.dat (this is important) and restart your wallet. It will start with 0 funds, that is ok and it will show up once the corresponding blocks are downloaded where your transactions are contained. |

Dev, beautiful homepage. Liked it very much. Just one minor thin: Please have a look at the wallets section - hovering one of the three options turs it into a white color-overlay and since the URLs are white as well, they become "invisible".

I have made a trumpcoin.conf in the folder and let it sit all day and it still says no block source available and 7 weeks behind out of sync. This swap tottly screwd me because I can't do it and I had over 600,000 coins I looked into doing a paper wallet but to use the private key I still need to get a version of the desktop working and I won't be able to get to a desktop I trust for another month at least. This really sucks for me and everyone mad I dumped but just understand I'm mad too! I'm not happy about it I HAD TO! And I might have to dump the rest of my coin because I can't figure this shit out! Why can't you use make the swap seamless like other coins!

Click File->Save As... 3. Change "Save as type" from text documents to "All Files" <--IMPORTANT! 4. Change "File name" to trumpcoin.conf 5. In the top of the Save As window there is an address bar. To clear up a bit of confusion for those of you who are not running the v1 wallet and only have coins on exchange, please rest assured that you do not need to do anything right now.
When the swap starts, you will only need the V2 wallet to swap from exchange.
Once you have installed the new wallet and created a new address, you can swap.
You can send the coins directly from YoBit to the swap address. There are no issues with that. You will simply need to...
1. Withdraw your Trumpcoins to the swap address that we provide.
2. Go to the withdraw page on YoBit and click the History tab at the top.
3. Click the transaction where you just withdrew your coins.
4. Copy the transaction id in the popup (It looks like this: ea40208232da9ff571a4f0f7f9972804ab99df29ae956ed979f7ac0e419c0a0c)
5. Paste the transaction id into the swap page.
6. Ride the rocket to the moon.
7. We will drop the exact same amount of V2 coins into your new V2 address.
After all is said and done, all V1 coins will be burnt into oblivion and the old chain will die.
We understand that there will be cases that need a little help. We aren't doing this with a rigid ruleset. We are going to be working fairly and diligently with everyone to ensure EVERYONE makes a smooth transition.
It's going to be a lot easier than the current wave of confusion has led some of you to believe.
I have my Trumps on a wallet V1 (which is syncing fine after setting up with trumpcoin.conf hint). What do I need to do for swapping? Same procedure like for exchanges but sending from my wallet and providing the TxId to swap page? On what address will the new V2 ones be sent and how to get them to local wallet? |
