These people are thieves plain and simple. Feel free to go back and search my issue so you don't get burned. Yeah don't use Bitinstant. They purposely move your deposit to one of their accounts and pretend to try to help you, all the while blaming YOU for the "error" you made. It is in fact their way of scamming people. They do it at random so it looks like an accident and then blame the customer. Google around and you will find a few people who are having this issue. Bitinstant support is naturally horrible since they NEVER plan on giving you money once they do this. They also aggravate you to the point where they claim you were just uncooperative so they can end their "service". Gareth and Yankee did NOTHING but banter back and forth about how everything was MY fault and they were doing everything they could (which was nothing). And blamed me for being upset about it after a month. Bitinstant and their people are thieves plain and simple. The only reason people keep using them is that they convince people it was all a misunderstanding or they convince a user it was THEIR fault and not the fault of the system they are using. And btw there is NO WAY to tell from the quote slip that the deposit is actually going to where a user implied...You won't know the TRUE location until all is said and done. The quote information DOES NOT verify the deposit is going to the correct location and then once it's sent viola....it's in the wrong account and they can't help you! Big surprise!! So when s#%$ hits the fan they just pretend it was you and not their system. Already reported to BBB for selective fraud and have been on the phone with their AG. Mine is NOT the first complain against them. Going to be hard unless we set up a class action suit against them but we've been in contact with a few who have been scammed and we're working on a solution. If you've been scammed I urge you to report it to BBB and contact the AG in NY,NY.
My only hope is that more people don't get burned.

I was in touch with MtGox. They froze the account and said they had talked to Bitinstant support and were awaiting a rescinding and resending of the funds then....nothing happened. They tell me they are still waiting on Bitinstant and I have gotten no more updates/info from support since "Rachel" went to "talk to her CEO about fixing this issue" I have another account I was using beforehand with a family member and have made multiple transactions so nah I didn't type in "exchange" instead of a number. I just wanted to use a new account instead of the family account and I got hosed. Would love to run this like $5k on my desk through Bitinstant....love to. My wife has tons of shopping and crap to do...but we both agreed that being unable to fix a roughly $500 error is not an excercise in longtime trust.

At least Gareth or Yankee are fixing your problems. I still have no $$ after about a MONTH so I still call SCAM on Bitinstant until I see otherwise.

Bitinstant "somehow" turned my account # at MtGox to "exchange". This happened on Feb 21 2013 17:55 Over 30 emails and STILL no $$.
Have been missing $480.05 since.

I've been in contact with Gareth and have now sent emails to Yankee. No responses in this matter. Looking for a new place to funnel my $$ since this looks like its going sour >.>

Went to deposit funds on Thursday but used CVS Moneygram instead of Walmarts due to location and time. All was well until I got my confirmation email. It said the funds got sent to "exchange" account instead of the # I put in there. What the frack? Went back and forth in emails with MtGox and Bitinstant and finally have MtGox saying that they've located the deposit and frozen the account but are waiting on the reversal and redeposit to my account ID. Sadly Bitinstant support seems to be ignoring me now which really makes me sad. I and family/friends have exchanged quite a few bitcoins through Bitinstant and MtGox but have always used Walmarts moneygram. Note to self, don't use CVS anymore. Was wondering if someone might be able to help me with this? Been several days and the items I wanted to purchase aren't even up for auction anymore so it'd be really swell if someone could help me get my $480.00 back >.<
